- Welcome everyone! In this video I learn to fingerless whistle loudly after 30 minutes of focused practise. I run through the basic steps that are required to be able to fingerless whistle/ taxi whistle. So this video is both a progression video and tutorial.
Let me know how you get on and add any further tips in the comments!

This video helped THE most. More than any thank you so much!!
That's so good to hear man! Thanks a lot! :)
I agree
I’ve mastered the finger whistle. Now it is time.
Awesome stuff man!
Same finger whistle one hand and 2 hands i learnt and now im trying to fingerless loud
Lol
@@judahbaggerman2294 I got the idea down but now I need to learn to change pitch and stuff.
I’ll learn from you master 🙏🏽
Note to confused viewers: I also grew frustrated with the comments of success which arent informative, so here's my input:
Its simpler than you think. What worked for me was tongue on lower teeth, different from other comments I've read. Try making a normal songwhistle shape *after* pushing your jaw forward. If your tongue is on the roof of your mouth with a normal whistle, I would advise practicing with your tongue on the floor of your mouth before attempting this.
If you have that mastered already, push your jaw forward and hold it while you attempt to make a songwhistle pucker, then put your tongue on your lower teeth.
This is just what worked for me. I was trying to do complicated, tongue-rolling techniques that don't seem to be necessary.
My other tip (this has quickly become an essay) is to just take breaks. Trying to learn in one go will frustrate you and make you try the same things over and over. As soon as I got off my ass and did something else I was able to pull it off. If you're still having trouble, try a normal whistle to "reset" your mouth (idk how to say it) or try shifting while whistling to the different mouth shapes described by various people.
Anyway, that's all I have. Have fun!
your method is good but not getting louder such as this video, because when you blow hard your mouth Will auto open on big shape , instead your method is required mouth to not open wide
@@mrcristoitoi just need a new tongue so i can whistle, i wasnt gifted tongue shape.
I’m so excited that a lot of people have it! But I’m still at the stage of head dizziness and slobbering on my chin. Practice makes more whistles !!
I accidently discovered a whistle like this when I was in seventh grade. I have adhd and was actually just being dumb. I was in study hall basically just making deflating balloon noises. Random I decided to push my jaw forward and made a small u with my tongue. It was the loudest whistle I have ever heard. I've got better at controlling it.
That's awesome mate, sounds like it came naturally to you, fair play!
@@jobacusmovies takes some work to replicate it 😂 thank you!
I was 5 or 7 and since a very young age I could whistle very good like very good. So I also have adhd and so when one day idk how it worked I just whistled like in the video without fingers and I kept doing it over and over. Time passed after a few years I reallly forgot about it but one day while I started my athletics career I heard the big guys doing it and I remembered I could do it now I am 16 and I still don’t know the technique, the people that have it by talent are really rare I can even flute with the sound 😂😂
My dad is a master of this whistle. Been practicing for a few days now. Watched your video this morning and by the afternoon I’m down to the fine tuning! Thank you!!!!! Can’t wait to surprise my dad!!!
It's a Christmas miracle! I got it after years of thinking I wouldn't be able to whistle. The tongue fluttering was the pointer that got me over the edge. Million thanks!
So good to hear man! Well done and thanks for the support!
The fluttering this is the game changer isnt it! Crazy i read your comment and tried the fluttering thing to and worked almost first go....but yeah its about consistancy now and producing the sound you want i guess
This video has some serious golden tips than managed me to whistle after 2 or 3 days.
Golden rules:
1. Keep underlip tight to bottom teeth
2. Try to let the tip of your tongue hover against your underlip while you blowing air
3. Find the sweet spot and start focusing on that !!!!
4. Have patience, keep practice but dont overdoing it
5. Dont watch other videos where they tell you to make weird shapes with your tongue. It just makes the situation more complex then it really is.
After you find the sweet spot and practiced alot, your brains will automatically memorize it and place your tongue in its correct position when you want to whistle.
Thanks very much, appreciate that and great to hear you managed after only a few days!
Learning to whistle with my teeth has always been something I wanted to do, I tried for months and finally gave up. Just today I came across this video and I learned to whistle this way in 2 minutes and 55 seconds. Thank you so much
Fluttering tounge!!! I've watched a bunch of videos on how to do this and nobody mentioned that!? I've walked around for weeks hissing and spitting, because they said to push and force the tounge to get the air to the front. Then you say flutter, I relax my tounge to make it so and voila, I got a pretty loud whistle 5 minutes after finishing this video. Thanks!
That's awesome to hear mate, well done! Really glad this video helped unlock a part of your progression! Thanks for the support
I can't even get remotely close this is harrrrrrd
Don't give up buddy, keep trying and adjusting, just a matter of time !
WOW!!! This is seriously the best lesson ever. I’ve been trying to learn for ages and got it by the end of this video.
Your description on where to have tongue, lip and teeth positioned was what did it.
Thank you
That's awesome man, so glad you nailed it! Thanks for the positive feedback, really nice!
It was the only tutorial on the topic that really made me learn the technique. I already master the loud whistle using my fingers, but it was frustrating not being able to whistle without the use of my hands. After watching hundreds of videos I finally found yours which, with all the care for the details, made the video unique. Thank you very much, I really not only learned but I was able to develop with practice the intensity I was looking for. Your methodology is unique, it helped me a lot. Greetings from BR.
Thank you bro, I learned it in 1-2 days thanks to you. You taught me again what motivation means
PS: sorry for my bad english
Well done mate, solid achievement! And thanks for the support!
2 days what the fuck your a natural it took me months
Sorry for your bad English? Most Americans probably don't know what "motivation" actually means.
@@American-Plague thank you very much 😅

Never thought I’d be watching a 7 minute video on how to do a fingerless whistle 😮💨
thanks so much..it finally worked for me after watching this video...and too many tutos on how to whistle. I thought at first I had to push the jaw forward (like others recommended) but it didn't work for me at all, it was the opposite move that worked..to pull a little backward instead of pushing the jaw.. and to imagine blowing air down through a straw into a glass of water to make bubbles..slowly pushing the air out without force at first to find the sweet spot.
Finally made my first ever whistle sound.. still can't believe it..everything is possible once you get the right way of doing things.
Learnt to do this some 35yrs ago whilst in school, Certainly has come in handy over the years 😎
Well... I'm getting closer than I have following any of the other tutorials. Thanks man
That's great man, thanks for the support and don't give up!
@@jobacusmovies holy shit. I actually managed to do it. At least a few times when out walking. When practicing at home I can't go full out because... Other people live here. Now it's just consistency.
Dude. Your video is really helpful. And you explain really well. Keep up the good work mate
@@callemontelius4772 Oh solid mate! It feels so rewarding doesn't it. Yeah it's best to work on it outdoors ahah. Now that you've got it a few times, you'll only get better if you keep practising!
@@jobacusmovies it felt really good to get that one loud one. Really satisfying :)
This is the video that helped the absolute most in my journey to wolf whistle
the only video that actually helped ♥️ thanks man ive been trying for years 😂
Cheers mate, you'll manage, it's just a matter of time and practise
Ahhh, it's so nerve-racking when you first figure it out and you're getting tiny sounds.
Yeah it's super exciting!
This video helped me get the longest whistle! Thanks man now I get to show off to my friends at school :)
This tip of vibrating the tongue to find the best positioning of the tongue in the mouth really made a difference. I've seen hundreds of vídeos (seriously!) and this was the only one I really managed to find the way to technique. It's with practice I'm evolving day by day. Thank you very much.
So good to hear, yes practise will get you there, keep going!
Holy crap I got it just watching this video! Thank you :)
I’ve tried this for an hour and all I can do is a hissing sound, not even close, and you did it under 30 minutes! That’s crazy!
Don't worry, if you make it a part of your routine everyday for the next few days I'm sure you'll see progress! Really appreciate the support man!
No tow days because literally said it was tow days

*still thats crazy*
Thanks to this video i learned the handless whistle in just 2 DAYS! Seriously this is so useful, thank you so much man!!!
This is the only video that helped me out thanks
Thanks buddy, really appreciate that! Hope you master it!
Now I can whistle a taxi! Or break peoples ears... both are great new skills
Great to hear mate!
I feel like I'm getting there. Thanks a lot!
Awesome dude, keep it going !
Holy shit. Just did it after like 5 minutes and 2 videos
Thanks a lot! This was the best out of all the tutorials!!!
Cheers buddy, really glad you found it helpful !!
When I tried this i looked like a dead fish
So far this one helped me the most. Thanks bro.
Cheers man, glad this helped, I hope you've mastered it now
Love this video. Excellent description and thank you for showing your progression. Super-helpful in learning!
I wanted to learn for my dog, because I don't wanna use a dog whistle xD so now thx to you and a couple of days of hard work I'm sooo 👌🏼 close
Great work, fair play man!
The best and the most helpful video on the topic. Finally managed to get the whistle. Not very loud yet, but got the technique right for the first tiome. My tip for everyone else is to keep your lower lip under tension with your bottom teeth.
Thanks a lot a buddy, well done for getting it and that's a great tip by the way
amazing mate, took me less than 30 minutes. Great video ! Greetings from germany
That's awesome, well done mate! Cheers for the support!
hey mate i’m struggling with the part where you said blow till your tounge almost rattles i can’t get it too rattle ahaha
I just got it today.Look so push your jaw forward, your bottom lip over your bottom teeth, your tounge has to be like perfectly under your top teeth but your tip has to be a little bent backwards
Okay. Final tip I figured out now that I succeeded. When I do it I realize I put my entire toung over my top teeth. Then I adjust the tip of it slightly. The top teeth end up in the correct place automatically for me when i do it like that and I get really consistent results.
At 5:45 he says “ the end is much louder than the Start” he whistled while saying that lol
Ahah you have sharp ears !
Great video, man! I learned the technique in about 2 hours, and now my brother is trying to learn. But he has some errors we're trying to clean. If you have some tips, please, anyone can coment. Thank you all in advance. Much appreciation for the video brother.
This vid is the best on all others they don’t tell u where to put ur tongue i I get confused but he tells u so much
Thanks man, that's really nice feedback, I'm glad it's helped !
Buzz you’re a genius! 😂😂😂
For whatever reason I tried to learn this myself for years and found myself completly clueless how to do it. Got my first loud whistles after watching two videos. Guys, just practise and do the basics. Every mouth works different and its really just practice with the toung.
I'm just now starting to get it and to me, it feels like the sound is actually being produced between the bottom of the tip of my tongue and the top of my lower lip. I can only make a low pitched whistle at the moment.
Your video was very helpful.
This is how I'm spending my early Saturday afternoon X'D I've got that very low whistle though after a few minutes but I want it to be really loud :( nice tip video
Yo I keep getting anxiety attacks when I fingerless whistle, learning is definitely helping.
Awesome.my guy thanks!
Ah. Something I just realized that might be helpful to people who had some problems like me. I tensed my bottom lip too much. When I went looser with it I got waaaay better results. And way more consistent
Good tip mate, thanks for sharing!
@@jobacusmovies no problems :) thought it might be helpful to some who didn't realize :)
I think this is my main issue too, that and I can't get my tongue to push against my top teeth without the help of my bottom 😭
Thanks for watching guys! If you like the video please subscribe as this encourages me produce more content for you guys!
And of course go ahead and request anything else you would like me to try out!
Hey bud. First of all, thks a lot. Great video! I haven't figured it out just yet, but I wanna know if the air should come out aiming forward or downward?
The best tutorial yet. I’ve been trying to learn it for 3 years. I got it on the first try. Thanks!
Thanks a lot buddy! So good that you've managed it!
Wow this was really helpful thanks
Good to hear man, I hope you're getting it
I've watched 10+ youtube videos, it's been a month since I started practicing this stuff but still can't even make a tiny noise 😂. I guess I'm getting it wrong on the inside of my mouth (especially the tongue), not the tip of my tongue. Any advice for that? Since I can't see the inside of your mouth lol. Thanks for the video anyway. I think this is a kind of video that helps the most
I got excited for you when you hit it on day 2 lol I’m still stuck on trying to figure out my mouth position
Thanks for sharing
yeah i just watched this vid and got the hang of it
thank you from Brasil.🇧🇷
My pleasure buddy, thanks for the support!
@@jobacusmovies I was already looking for whistles that way but looking for a lot of CZcams just this time I got it better.👍
This video helped me get the basics down and getting the hand of it now. Thanks
How's your progression? Are you able to whistle louder now?
Thanks a lot man and that's great to hear you've made inroads! I've definitely improved although I'd like it to be even louder
Thanks! Subbed.
Awesome dude, thanks a lot!
Thanks mate
Awesome job, dude! I'm still trying to figure it out, but stuck at work to really practice. People may think I'm going crazy. Hey, I got a question for you? Are you using tags on your videos? I didn't see any on yours and maybe that'll help you reach more people if you add them. I'm not an expert or anything, just trying to help out and learn at the same time. Good job again!
Thanks buddy! Ahah yeah doing it at work might cause trouble. That's a good point man, we need to look into that because I'm not sure we do!
Sat here learning learning how to do a normal whisle, but being able to do that one
Thanks i succeded in 2 days...👍
Love from India 🇮🇳
Congratulations
Been trying for over 2 months. The only whistle noise I can get is not loud, and it requires bringing my upper lip down, so I'm pretty sure that's a dead end headed in the wrong direction. Def should've made actual progress by now. After a month of no progress, I began wondering if I just don't have the correct mouth roof shape / teeth size to do it, so at that point it's like the consequences of being short height where there's nothing you can do to fix it.
It took me 3 fucking months but I got it.. I'm freaking 40 but i always wanted to learn so I could whistle like my dad when i was a kid we would hear him down the block at least 200 yards away streetlights on and time to go home.Call of the wild shit hahaha... but I would always give up after countless hours or days. I picked up a job truck driving and said I'm gona fucking get it if it kills me...and for me this shit was harder than learning to operate the 18wheeelers...long story short perseverance and dedication trumps all...its not just a whistle its a laminated man card now....TAXIIII 🚕😂✌
Your intuition is out of this world, you're already canceling out unhelpful tips from other tutorials made by people who've been whistling for years, and shedding light on the most important tips. You sir possess the qualities of a true teacher.
ahah thanks man, that's kind feedback! I hope you've nailed it
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, it's very helpful. I just have two questions. When you mentioned press the tongue against the lower lip, how hard do you have to press it, like really light, full on hard press or somewhere in between? Also, when you mentioned keeping that gap between tongue and upper teeth small, do you have to bite down hard or do you let the tongue come up to meet the teeth? Thanks for clarifying, and thanks for the video
Thanks a lot man! And great questions! In answer to the first one, it's really lightly. And for the second one you let the tongue and teeth meet together (remember the tongue should stay level with the bottom lip), but again very lightly, don't bite down hard otherwise you'll struggle to get that small gap. Keep adjusting until you get that initial shrill sound and then power on!
Is the air supposed to be coming only from the gap of your upper front teeth of from under them, or a tiny gab between your lower lip and tongue?
I've known how to do it all this time, I was just confusing myself by thinking that this guy was doing a different kind of whistle. When I do it quietly with low airflow it sounds like a good mix between a seagull and an elk call, with the proper amount of practice and control I could probably perform the Ennio Morricone
"Can you blow my whistle baby, whistle baby..." 🎶 Well, I can't... yet 😗🤣 nice video 👍
can you still do it 2021
im getting there this helped a lot thanks man
Still got it in 2021! Solid that's great to hear, keep it up!
I have a distinct whistle now thanks to this video and the other video but it's not loud! How can I make my whistle ear piercing??!
That's a great start, you just need to get the perfect balance between the right amount of airflow through the right sized gap. So keep practising and adjusting, you'll get that ear piercing whistle in no time!
Help. I cant seem to get it right. I get to the point of tongue to rattle alittle. Cant seem to get that low whistle flutter.
So I have a black triangle or a small gap between my top incisors (big teeth) I feel like my tongue and mouth position Matches yours in video however it just sounds like air is going through. No whistle whatsoever
No matter I learnt or not but I laughed a lot on myself while practicing with him😂😂
ahah good stuff man!
what if my 2 front teeth are apart from each other? Will I still be able to do this?
I love 💓💓💓😍😍😍top
It knida just comes naturally to me. I just asked my dad how to do it when I was 5 and he showed me, I mimicked and hot it straight away. Lucky I guess. I actually can't finger whistle at all.
I’ve been watching yt vids too about whistling all my life since im a lil boy i cant do it but i still cant do it my tongue seems like woundt relax so it doesn't move when i blow
I can’t get it to work without my top lip cover top teeth. Is that bad technique Dr Cox from scrubs seems to do it that way too
Great tutorial. Still cant do it 😂😂
I cant help it by laughin when you're trying, cuz i know its the same with me.. 🤣
It's a nightmare at first, repeat after repeat, only getting more light headed as you go on
Great vid! Im starting to make kettle sound now haha. my bird find it so annoying too, so i guess i made some progress 🤣
ahah that's the telling sign, if your bird finds it annoying you're getting there. Cheers for the support mate!
cool
Can you whistle very loud eventually w this technique?
I’m doing a different technique where my tongue is on the top instead of the bottom, I am getting a soft whistle but failing to blow harder to actually get a loud whistle. This is closest I’ve got and I have tried the finger whistle
That's interesting, sounds like it's similar to the finger whistle?
I'm now progressing to getting lightheaded and giddy.
Maybe this can be taught as an alternative to The Drugs 🤣
How do you make your tongue shake or vibrate
Try to narrow the gap between your tongue and the top of your mouth, by blowing air through that smaller gap you should start to feel your tongue vibrate. But once you've managed that, you should focus on the air flow between your top teeth and tongue. Keep making small adjustments until you get it, it can take time. I hope this helps :)
@@jobacusmovies I’m starting to get a high-pitched sound but my young isn’t vibrating any advice ?
@@matthew9425 that's good news man, because you're past the vibrating part. Getting your tongue to vibrate is a helpful step to get to the shrill sound, so don't worry about making your tongue vibrate anymore. Just keep adjusting until it gets louder and more consistent!
@@jobacusmovies I’m just about there, I still can’t adjust the pitch and I can’t get it any louder.
I’m struggling with the flick of the tongue does it come naturally or do I have to make it flick great vid btw
You are realy good teacher!👍
If i have a small space between my two front teeth, and cover thim with my upper lip,
can i do the sound without the need to whistle sidways?? (the technique for those without front teeth etc)
Yes I think you probably can, a small gap shouldn't be an issue!
@@jobacusmovies Oh thats nice to hear. Thnx! :)))
Can’t do the rattle thing. I can whistle a bit loudly but it’s like a deep whistle not a high pitch one.. I need that rattle but I can’t get my tongue to do that at all
That's a good start that you already have a deep whistle, now it should just be a case of adjusting your tongue relative to your teeth and forcing the air through the right gap. This takes time but you'll nail it eventually!
@@jobacusmovies I got it more the other day.. can almost do the high pitched one amd felt my tongue rattle slightly. That’s definitely when you get a louder whistle. I’m stuck between two techniques tho atm 😂 thanks for the help tho buddy! 👍🏻
Hey guy, I am sure your video is absolutely well explained and helpful - thanks for that but I'm getting desperate right now as all I can do is make a kettle 😅, maybe women can't do it like men. Due to the anatomical predisposition😄
I found out why I can't whistle.
When my adult teeth were growing in, two of my front canines decided not to grow. I basically have 2 gaps in front of my teeth.
The closest I get to a whistle is the shrill sound, but when I pull my upper lip upward, the whistle progress goes silent. 😞
I think I'm in a similar boat. Larger than average buck teeth that protrude farther than the neighboring teeth, small gap between them but not much, and the only whistle sound I can get here is when I bring my upper lip down into the equation and bring my jaw backwards, both alterations against the vid's instructions. Also think I'm bringing my lower lip further back over my bottom teeth. It's a distorted airy whistle sound that doesn't sound right, and I can't make it loud, so I'm pretty sure it's a dead end headed in the wrong direction. I can't get any whistle sound whatsoever with all combinations/positions that meet the vid's requirements :(
I need to learn this so I can summon a horse like in rdr2
Great tutorial mate!
3 mintues after posting this i just did my first one! Crazy! Thanks man real good breakdown
That's awesome mate, fair play! Thanks a lot buddy
I taught myself how to whistle like this and I can whistle decently loud like this. But it's not loud enough. My dad you can hear for like blocks away
