Fossils in the Foster

The Tony Foster exhibition displays sixteen artworks by Tony Foster portraying locations on the Green River, from its headwaters in Wyoming to its confluence with the Colorado River in Utah. This area's beauty comes in part from its striking geology!
Join Larry as he introduces one of the geologic layers so important to Foster's artwork. Larry will discuss the Green River Formation and similar formations found in the Bighorn Basin. He'll also give you a sneak peek at two of the fossils on display. Be sure to visit the special exhibit at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, it's on display until October 22, 2023.
