One of the best reviews I have seen on any product on CZcams. Well done. I haven't recieved my grill yet, but based on this review I think I'll keep It.
Great and detailed video. I already have the XL 1500 watt and love it because it gets pretty cold in Tennessee in the winter and this works great inside. Thanks for a great video!
Wonderful review. Saved me some money, don't think I need this. Appreciate the thoroughness including the temperature check and even putting the lid together. This channel will save me a lot of time when figuring out which gadgets I can/can not live without!
Typically we use kitchen towels remove lids and bacon actually cook in the oven in restaurants, time is the issue. I love that use used a laser to determine surface temp. All though you are a lefty😀😀😀I’m surrounded by them😊Just ordered it because of your review.
Amazing, thorough, informative review. I sat through all 40 flipping minutes and do not feel a second wasted. I purchased mine through Amazon on sale around Black Friday for $69.99. Considering the version the official website pushes, and how it came in a generic box, I questioned its authenticity. Thankfully, this video puts it to rest. The only difference my unit has to this one is the temperature display on mine is different, showing a circular LED display and perhaps not as precise a temperature setting. My one and only use for cooking so far was some dry rubbed aged prime cut ribeyes I purchased from a local butcher. In my experience, cooking on 450, there was still smoke, but not as much as there would have been without the fan.
What an awesome review! Thank you very much kind sir! Very organized and detailed! Great voice as well 😇 I will now certainly purchase this product! Definitely deserves a SUB! Stay blessed 🤩
Great video! Just bought this today and your video was the first one I saw and it helped me pretty clearly, already made dinner and it worked just great! Thank you! I'm a new subscriber
Good review, thanks. Bringing up the temp at the grill plate is what I have been looking for, the grill plate temp itself. I would really like to have an infrared temp taken on the grill plate itself.
Nice introduction. I won't submerge this appliance under water even if you take the fan out. Some electric contact/wiring inside could still got damaged. I will show this to my wife if I decide to buy this product. Save me bunch of time to explain things.
I absolutely love this grill. I’ve cooked chicken breast on the grill plate. The flavor is amazing. Now I’m so obsessed with cooking my chicken breasts on this grill. It cooks quick and easy cleanup. Can’t wait to see your videos using this appliance 👍
Im glad you put the bacon on the grill bcuz the book prefers to use the griddle plate for bacon and my divice didn't come with the griddle. And yes the smokeless method is great. A timer would be nice.
Thank you so much for your video... I certainly realize that for cooking one steak at a time for a single person household this would not be at all what I am looking for... I wish I could find a nice smaller unit as the air-fryer I have been using only goes up to 400 Degrees and I want something hotter.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Very kind of you to send me this... before I got this, I had just ordered the one I am hoping will be good for me. It is the Cuisinart GR150C....
I just purchased a 1500w from Walmart that has the circle control panel. It didn't come with the griddle plate so I had to purchase one from the manufacturers website. In the manual it doesn't say 1650w like yours does. It sayd 1500. Mine has the removeable hinged lid. I cant wait to try this thing.
I did. Just to make sure. It was quite the detailed review. You pointed out in your instruction manual that it listed the unit as a 1650w rating. All I was saying is the 1500w I purchased from Walmart doesn't have that in the manual.
Great video Mr. Darnell! I like that the smokeless grill also has a griddle plate. I have a Philips Smokeless indoor grill that I hardly ever use. I notice that the vast majority of these cookers are made in China. I suppose no electric appliances are made in the USA. 🤷
Bottom line, *American made* cost too much. While we all _say_ we want American made. We don't want to pay the expense of an American salary plus benefits in some fields. So, companies do what they have to do. I highly recommend Thomas Sowell's book *Basic Economics* . Also, this Playlist, although it's about 10 hours of viewing. But the trade matter is actually more a win for the USA than most understand. All the same, there are major issues as Maria points out in this great interview. czcams.com/video/iPczYamcruo/video.html I wouldn't mind a full decoupling from China. But it still wouldn't be Made in the USA for these things. And that's actually dare I say in truth, a benefit to us. You save and get a useful product. The American labor can do other profitable work. And America's economy is #1 🇺🇲👍🏿
Great review! There this company called 1st Build. They have an indoor pellet smoker that’s coming out, but I think it will be very expensive. Do you think if I added pellets in foil to the Power XL, I can get smoked meats inside without smoking up the place? I haven’t purchased the Power XL yet.
I’m going to buy one as well. I’ll also get the 1500 watt version (for versatility and for the ability to cook more types of foods on to it - meats throughout the day and pancakes in the morning - especially Saturday or Sunday mornings). And the digital temperature gauge is nice too - and it can be adjusted up or down to your preference to make it more suitable for the type of food you’re going to be cooking. And, I also like that the water basin, the grill, the griddle, and the drip plate are dishwasher safe and can be placed in the dishwasher - so clean up is also quick and easy. It does have a fan on there as well - which can be switched on or off. And I am going to prefer that it will be on most of the time. But now, there’s going to be times that I am going to like a little smoke in some of my food (like a steak 🥩, a burger 🍔, salmon 🍣, or in the morning - bacon 🥓), so in those cases, I would leave the fan off. For my meats and some of my seafood, I would like a smokey aroma cooked into my food, and going to be using something like “Liquid Smoke” on them. So, I would leave the fan off for those reasons. Otherwise wise, most of the time, I’ll be using the fan as I don’t want any smoke all over my kitchen that I will need to clean off later on (cabinetry, countertops, and my floor). A timer for would’ve been nice, but that’s okay. I would use the clock on my stove or my smartphone. I also like the fact that the fan and other electronics can be removed (with a screwdriver) if I want to deep clean the grill base. So all-in-all… I’m going to like having something like a Smokeless Grill in my apartment. Having something like this in my apartment is going to allow me to be enjoying a lot of different foods all year long, and actually enjoying grilled food in the summer when I don’t have access to a REGULAR OUTDOOR GRILL in the summer (thanks to “Liquid Smoke”), and can be enjoying grilled food all year long. Aside from my convection oven, this grill is going to getting a lot more use throughout the year - more so than my stove and my oven (which will be used for Thanksgiving and Christmas). And think of all that the convenience type meals I’ll be enjoying all the time. An A+++ 👍🏾👍🏾 -Charles-
This is one confusing product. There's another version with an attached, hinged lid and I think it also has a drawer that pulls out for either the water or the drip pan. These seem like nice features, but It looks like that might be the 1200W version. It has the lighted circle instead of the more precise numerical display. Also, they call one on their website the PowerXL Smokeless Grill and another the Power Smokeless Grill XL. Come on.
one is the xl and one is the xl pro. I would say tried the xl pro. I have the xl and i like it but cleaning is a hassle. The plate is not "non-stick" after a few uses. Also, the grease gets in the fan and it's hard to clean. It's really not "smokeless". It is smokey when you cook fatty meat. Only smokeless when you cook lean meat.
I just purchased a xl pluss that's 1500w w/ the hinged lid from Walmart. It has the circle control panel. Didn't come w/ the griddle plate so I ordered it from the manufacturers website.

If it used to work, than you probably need to take the fan assembly apart and clean it.
