Man I remember most of these commercials. Late 90s until 9/11 was comfy. Also funny how the GenX marketing was like "time to be a adult" while millennial marketing is "hey remember your childhood?"
I totally forgot about that Sci-fi channel commercial. Definitely one of those pieces of marketing that didn’t age well, although through no fault of its own.
Thank you for this. I love all your videos. Idk how you find this stuff. I discovered amazing shows and movies because of your video's. I was born in 1993. I wish i could go back and this is the closest i can get. Lol so thank you for making these videos.

I totally agree, but I do have some great memories of the end of 2001 with the amazing games coming out for PS2, GC, and Xbox. Also, really enjoyed 2002-2006 and somewhere in 2007 was when I felt like we reached a new era and wasn't really enjoying things.
It's going to be insane when this time period becomes so estranged from the far off future, that this type of content will likely be one of people's biggest impressions of it. I'm glad things like this are up to bridge the gap for them eventually.
I had that terminator 2 DVD with the metal case. It looked cool and in order to get the actual DVD case out of it, you had to push with all your might and usually tore the plastic on the case. But it looked cool.
That first cinnamon toast crunch commercial had that videogame that came with Chex Cereal. I remember playing it when I was younger. It was alot like doom
As I had this playing in the background while playing video games, I would notice the website links and phone numbers to some of these commercials. I tried to call or go to the website, and they either don't exist or the domain has completely changed. It's funny that this time period was all about **THE FUTURE** but as of now (2022) a lot of the technology and services featured in some of these commercials are extinct or upgraded into a newer better device. It was all about the new millennium, the future, and metallic eyeshadow.
Might be a long shot asking. But do you have these two commercials? I believe they were for some late 90s early 00s music service like SiriusXM. First commercial has a guy talking about his playlist or music he likes. Mentions Moody Blues and it has him flying over a surreal landscape. Set one was a series if commercials. Usually started with a woman smashing a guitar and a bus pulls up.
I remember my family having discussions about the alien ship spotted at the twin towers, Sci-fi was crazy back then. Also john edward crossing over, what a scam artist
Omg “ buy 2 and insure you get some online time) remember when the internet was second ? You had to ask like when you ask to watch t.v. Now mainstream for sure
2:43 This commercial is funny!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But why would he still eat that sandwich after it's been in the dogs mouth and onto the damn ground?!?!?!?!?!?! DISGUSTING BUT FUNNY!!!!!!!
Y2K was an event that occurred in 1999 because people feared computers calendars would not be able to roll over to 2000 and the world would just shut down.
You removed my comment, but it's true just the same. Narrators and advertisers sounded like normal people now you can't find one on tv that doesn't sound like a member of the alphabet cult
Bonfide deuill woꝛſhip , each and euery one of theſe. "11 Verely , verely I ſay vnto thee, We ſpeake that we doe know, and teſtifie that wee haue ſeene ; and yee receiue not our witneſſe. 12 If I haue tolde you earthly things, and ye beleeue not: how ſhall ye beleeue if I tell you ofheauenly things? 13 And no man hath aſcended vp to heauen, but hee that came downe from heauen, euen the Sonne of man which is in heauen. 14 ¶ And as Moſes lifted vp the ſerpent in the wilderneſſe : euen ſo muſt the Sonne of man be lifted vp : 15 That whoſoeuer beleeueth in him, ſhould not periſh, but haue eternall life. 16 ¶ For Godſo loued yͤ woꝛld,that he gaue his only begotten Sonne : that whoſoeuer beleeueth in him , ſhould not periſh,but haue euerlaſting life. 17 Foꝛ God ſent not his Sonne into the woꝛld to condemne the woꝛld : but that the woꝛld thꝛough him might be ſaued. 18 ¶ He that beleeueth on him,is not condemned : but hee that beleeueth not, is condemned already, becauſe hee hath not beleeued in the Name of the onely begotten Sonne of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the woꝛld , and men loued darkneſſe rather then light, becauſe their deedes were euill. 20 Foꝛ euery one that doeth euill, hateth the light, neither commeth to the light, leſt his deeds ſhould be repꝛoued. 21 But hee that doeth trueth , commeth to the light, that his deeds may be made manifeſt, that they are wꝛought in God." - Iohn 3 Holy Bible 1611
The way I yearn to go back to being 10year old me again and not taking this era for granted is like nothing else. These Ads are like a Time Machine.
4 real man I was 13. Could hop on my bike with 10 bucks and have the best Saturday ever.
i get weird vibes from that WTC commercial
They were built to be destroyed
Facts
Impossible!
Always sad to see Kmart commercials a staple of the 90s and early 2000s that doesn't exist no more
@Moon Cricket he said it right
Rest peacefully Dave Thomas. I miss him on commercials.
1:07 ... This is kind of creepy...
RIGHT
At 1:18 it looks close to where it actually got hit
@MirroredVoid I know just saying how odd it is
@MirroredVoid sweet
🛸👽UFO?
The early 2000's were pretty great who would have thought it was all downhill from there 😑
Right.
The woke mob.
@@kylemoore801 no we live in a woke mob hell with big tech overlords
@Phillip Delgado I think it was in 1995 with small events like the Oklahoma City bombing and the 1999 Columbine shootings
@Self Made Auto If you believe that you’re inbred😂 without America the world would be so boring
I literally leave it as background noise just like the old days
Man I remember most of these commercials. Late 90s until 9/11 was comfy. Also funny how the GenX marketing was like "time to be a adult" while millennial marketing is "hey remember your childhood?"
It’s really confusing watching a video of outdated 2000s commercials then a modern CZcams ad turns on.
Forreal tho
DVD menus in the early 2000s certainly was something.

@@ourytacc1 No.
They were about to take over VHS tapes.
Pays for ad-free CZcams, chooses to watch 30 mins of ads.
0:13 I love that he's playing Chex Quest with a N64 controller
Not even a real one. Looks like a 3rd party controller
I remember these tv commercials from the 2000's that's when VHS tapes we're still available at the time
I totally forgot about that Sci-fi channel commercial. Definitely one of those pieces of marketing that didn’t age well, although through no fault of its own.
I was like "Noooooooooooo they didn't" but ot was aliens and I remember the timeframe haha
@@AcherRollz hahahaha I was anticipating so hard wtf was about to happen
Lmaoooo
I remember believing that commercial so hard xD
At 1:11? Oh, STFU. It aged just fine. The Twin Towers fell over 20 years ago. Deal with it already.
Love these old scifi channel ones i like the channel ads more than the commercials feels so early 2000's
Still had a lot of that late 90's feel to me as well, everything really changed fast after 9/11
@@CommodoreFan64 yeah that commercial really got me
This sci-fi was way better before they changed the spelling of the name

1:02 oof that's unfortunate
To think. If 9/11 and social media didn't happen. It be a perfect world now. I miss the 90's, 2000 and pre 9/11 2001

@Self Made Auto Yes, but it's a far cry from what it was in the 90's - mid 00's.
Awesome and nostalgic 😎
One of the very best channels on CZcams.

The power of cheese 😋
3:10 I miss it 😫
11:50 is that the Majora's Mask song?
It's amazing how far video, sound, and editing have come in such a short time.
Yeah, it's all moving backwards now. People getting dumber by the year. Art getting dumbed-down as well.
(former VFX artist / VFX supervisor)
11:50 the music at the start of this ad sounds exactly like the final hours music from Majora's Mask please tell me I'm not insane
@6:11 before they called them woke they were hippies
yep
Or just plain wackjobs!!!
Hippies were counter culture. Woke is culture warriors
I used to watch Dark Angel with my sister when I was 10 thinking I was old watching grown up TV 😂
Shhhhhhhhh. My show's about to begin.
DARK ANGEL! JESSICA ALBA
Oh I remember EarthLink

The MK ultra subliminal programming in these is so intense
Do you have a ABC Saturday morning commercials in 2002 before switching to ABC Kids for half an hour CZcams video please.
Back when SCI-FI ( currently known as SyFy )

Y2K was in 1999. What does it have to do with 2000's commercials? Have a great day!
Y2K literally stands for "Year 2000" genius.
Y2K was an event that occurred in 1999 because people feared computers calendars would not be able to roll over to 2000 and the world would just shut down.

That World Trade center commercial didn't hold up well.
