    another great one! when I got mine it didn't even have a cap for the overflow. LOl ended up being cheaper to order a whole over flow container complete than to get a cap! no clue why. I haven't done this flush yet but now I know how. Thanks again.

    Just came to find out how to drain the coolant. Ended up learning a few more things. I recently acquired a 95 GL1500 . I'm going over the entire bike bit by bit and correcting everything the previous owner did wrong or not at all. Today is a new engine coolant temp sensor so the fuse will work. Thank you for the useful info!

      You’re welcome, congratulations on the new to you Goldwing, depending on the owner a lot of stuff often gets overlooked on these bikes, probably because they are just so reliable. People just choose to ride the snot out of them 😁

      @@herbiesgarage681 Someone had this one apart. I found a loose rear axle nut and pinch bolt. Progressive Suspension rear shocks missing the bottom bushings and sleeves. And, the fork springs....LOL I could give you a list, but I won't... LOL

    Looking forward to your tail of the dragon trip. Nice to see someone that takes care of their stuff so well. Even your Chinese bikes are so well taken care off. Sometimes when you see people buy less expensive bikes they don’t care about the maintenance but you like me want things to last and I appreciate that.

    i have only ever ordered 1 thing that was show chrome, it was from another seller though so I got it cheap and it was the valve stems . 90 deg , they were the best looking I had seen as far as design, i didn't like how some folks crimped that stem up. he show chrome ones I got are not just bent over hap hazzardly, they are are more like brake lines I make for VW's/ LOL nice curve. but yeah, what the heck, folded up diaphragm. Thanks for the heads up!

      @@RockAnAhardSpot sounds awesome! I’ve had several bugs, my favorite was a 67. First year for 12volt. Had a dual port with a Weber carb. Ah those were the days. I completely restored a bug, took me a year and almost cost me my marriage, I was in the garage so much. I wished I had that car back.

      Hello again friend, Yes, I do buy original Honda parts where I feel I need to. I would like to find a original Honda gas cap if you have any idea where I can get one from, please let me know. From what I can tell that's an obsolete part. I cleaned mine but I would really like to replace it if possible.

    Why didn't you pressurize the system to check for leaks.

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681 Před 5 měsíci

      I could have I guess but I didn't have any leaks after I finished with it and rode over 2000 miles without any problems. But it would probably be a good idea to do
