Celebrated our 35th Anniversary in September. Luck might start you off, but hard work, respect, compassion (including a certain amount of forgiveness), kindness and laughter are what get you through the tough times. Really like Annette - she strikes me as very genuine and honest.
She had to have worked hard in that relationship. Good for her!

And yes saying they're proud of themselves is truth. I have been with my partner for 20 years and I think the best advice for anyone is BE NICE! That's it!
@bonnie simpson I remember that too except I also recall knowing he was the lucky one. She had it all and he was just a playboy FINALLY ready to grow out of Peter Pan phase. Warren was a good looking, late bloomer playboy type. She didn't succumb to his game and he fell for her.

‘The American President’ was an extreme breath of fresh air as there was no hard violence or sex or hard language (other than once by the campaign mgr twrd the end of the movie). This movie PROVES that the lazy, disgusting nonsense is NOT necessary to create a wonderful movie, but rather it distracts from the quality of a film.

When she was pregnant she was standing behind me in the bathroom at the Sag awards. I insisted she go ahead of me. The other people in line have me a dirty look. I wasn't letting her go ahead because of who she was. I would have let any pregnant woman anywhere go ahead of me. I mean when you're pregnant you gotta go when you gotta go. It was the right thing to do.

My parents were married for 67 years -- until my dad's death.
Seeing how Michelle Pfeiffer and Bening's career seem to be sharing quite a lotta IPs...I really wanna see them both in the same movie together..acting together.
They're the same age, Bening was cast as Catwoman before Pfeiffer eventually got it (Annette too later starred in a Tim Burton movie, Mars Attacks!).
They both are in the MCU..and now both are in Kenneth Branagh's Poirot movies.
I believe that (about kissing). I believe there's nothing more bonding in a marriage than kissing.
Other than forced marriage, I don't think ANYONE gets married to someone who's kiss is repellent to them,, or even simply does nothing for them.
