Man, this is why I like natural sourced, alive, pearl farms. The only oysters that die are the ones that are ready to. They're treated very gently and carful when extracting the pearl, and then they're put back in safe nets in the ocean so that they aren't attacked or eaten. It's sustainable and so much better than just killing the oyster. Plus you get a hell of a lot more pearls
Agree
What if the oyster he used was already dead?
@@kahiruo or old
Or what if they planned on eating the oysters after the video?
@@RoronoaZoro-cc3nd if it was old he should still have let it lived not killed it
No problem with the ring making process but you should have extracted the pearl without killing the oyster.
Can it be done?
Yeah
I thought that the pearls kill the oysters
@@sugas_canoe_flippers Me too.
Gonna cry ?
Man you could've just taken the pearl out without killing the oyster
As I've read from other comments, it seems that the oyster was already long gone before the man force-opened their shell.
@@stevefromminecraft7828 I don’t think so. The shell would have loosened a little
@@StayH0ly no it was probably already dead u guys just find something to be upset about
@@StayH0ly i have watxhes a lot of breaking down fish and oyster and whatevr videos and whenever the shellfish or otsters are still alive when he breaks them down, when he touches the oyster or when the knife hits it the oyster will move and retract a little bit. But this one is completely still, looks super dry and rubbery. I think it rlly is dead
@@kapon1845 I agree it's way to dried out to still be alive anyway also I think it could be fake on account of the insides being a uniform color, may be made of some sort of silicone or putty. I've never seen a clam or oyster look that way dead or alive.
"The great bulk of the pearls on the market, and likewise those of the highest quality, are from the Margaritiferae, which are widely distributed about tropical waters. Although these mollusks are spoken of as pearl-oysters, they are not related in any way to the edible oysters (Ostrea) of America and Europe. The flesh is fat and glutinous, and so rank in flavor as to be almost unfit for food, although eaten at times by the poorer fishermen in lieu of better fare."
They are not edible people so before you start talking about food chain or something pls research it
Poor oyster
Yeah, that oyster is dead now😢
You think they make a fake Pearl?
I Hope It did but that ring needed to be real
Oysters dont feel pain so they don't feel a thing when they are killed
Also the oyster in the video was most likely long dead due to it's coloring, so..
Cielos!!! Que fácil lo hace parecer!!!
El señor es un crack!!!
Yes because we all have oysters, blowtorches, and ring molds at our house 💖
That oyster is already dead. I think that oyster is from china. They sell this kind of stuff with different sizes. They ship it fully intact.

Could you not kill the oyster while you're at it. In this day & age we need to look after our resources. That oyster must have been so old to be that size.
Correct
What if they're planning on eating it though

In short they are in edible
@@waviimse4567 oh, well I wouldn't want to judge the person who's making a living out of extracting pearls, but can't it be that it could just be farmed/cultured oysters?
Ok but it seems the oyster was already dead so why even bother
Very beautiful ring I love it
Wow what a nice, beautiful and pretty ring
I'm now 23 years old and just knew that pearls actually come from sea creatures. All this while I thought they were mined from the soil like other precious gems
I used to think that mermaid are the sources🙂

Wow, what a preetty ring ! What did it cost
Beautiful ♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍
Muy bonito trabajo, pero a la ostra la maltratan las perlas y luego la matan para sacarlas.😧😧😞
Taking out the pearls costs the clam his life, they knew it 🙄😡
Gonna cry ?
Is that all you have to say
No. But he used a dead oyster which is bad. Never kill an oyster for pearls. Harvest them carefully when they are alive.
Beautiful. I want one.
Nice
Plz mujhe bhi koi aise ring dila do 🥰🥰
Holy crap, you're talented! It's gorgeous! I especially love the "waviness" of the ring!
Gorgeous! I love watching how you do it from start to finish.

But he killed the oyster so its brutal
¿Cómo se llama la canción de fondo? // what is the name of the background song?

Tip : next time just go and buy a cheap ring with a pearl on top its the same.

I want this ring very beautiful
There is a better way of making a ring out ok a metal spoon. It was actually a popular way to make jewelry a long time ago. People would take a silver utensil and cut off the ends to their liking and bend and shape it into a ring and sometimes shave it down.
Oh in other videos (of other youtubers) showed that we are not suppose to tear the oyster cus it felt hurt too… the person also delicately replace the pearl with “natural” fake pearl so that the oyster wouldn’t feel missing…
No, the pearls are a defense mechanism. They *need* them.
Oysters don't have a nervous system,.therefore they don't feel pain, it doesn't hurt them.
@@cadenfinch4813 Pearls are a result from their defense mechanism, they use it to trap the parasite that enter them, if we take them out, we also take out the parasite, they can always make a new one if another parasite entered there body.
@@dan_ta_lion I was more explaining why we put the fake pearl back. The established pearls are still useful, I believe, though I could be misinformed

Poor oyster. It wasn't even it's time.
Why not just pry it open enough to yank the pearls out, then dump them back in their environment?
Exactly, there is also another method to take pearl without even killing them
I agree
Thanks, didn't know you can do that. Was looking to see if could at least be eaten
It was already dead. You can tell by the fleshes coloring.
That thing is dead already cry about it
You make it look so easy! Years of practice under your belt. Liked the design of ring. Cool.🥰🙏

It's not more easier and helpful you buy one??
Sabían que una perla tarda 7 años en poderse formar?
The pearks could have been removed without killing the oyster. Did you know? Could have been re-seeded and left to live to make more pearls. Such sensless waist for vanity?
Whatever, oysters are a common thing and you can ship one from china for a few bucks anyways.

The fact that he couldn't extract the pearl without killing it's creator shows how unskilled, short cut noob he is, the ring design was pretty badic too, nothing special there.
Read the desc, it was most likely dead already
