Only my first 2 years in Canada were difficult. Karamihan ng Pinoy brand new car kaagad. Thats a dead investment. Invest in shelter first. Survival jobs muna at mag-ipon. The key to get a good job is to shine in interviews. Dito you are judged kung magaling ka magsalita and how good you express yourself. If you need to upgrade, go to school and work nights, get certified then you'll get paid 3 times or even up to 5 times more than survival jobs coasting to retirement. And don't forget to pray, seek first the Kingdom of God and all things will be added to you. Then you'll feel you are in Canadian dream.

Ngayon tapos na anak ko at independent na sya uuwi na ako ng pinas in 3 years, there's no place like home baga! Mamuhay ng simple at magkaroon ng peace of mind at stress free. Yan ang goal ko in the next 3 years.

Tama po, there's no place like home.

Success is a product of hard work, determination and a bit of luck in Canada or any country. Some degree holders from pinas ended up as caregivers and cleaners while others who did not pursue college or university courses became successful in a short period of time. Each one has a different story to tell good or bad, just don't give up too soon.

Same systems dito sa Oz. Depende rin kasi sa tao, lets say kung may kaya ka naman sa Pilipinas like you have your own business or you have a high paying job you may regret migrating to either CA / US/Aus/UK..IN saying that depende na rin sa perspective and expectations mo. In my case, my wife and I workend in HK for 4 years but decided to migrate to OZ in1996 coz that time China is taking over HK and not sure what will happen. Someone told us that Oz is good place if you are starting a family...make the long story short after almost 27 years okay naman its all worth it..now I am retired at 57...how did i do it? i invested in real estate from the early days to minimise my tax which is just a bonus but importantly real estate appreciates in value so that is the vehicle that allowed me to retire early..and everyone can do it too just know how to budget and lakas lang ng loob..in the early days, i dont buy brand new cars, smart phone, simple lifestyle lang..

,Philippines is the Best. Canada before is okay to immigrate , today, I don't think it's the best. I've been here 37 years. I assisted a lot of New immigrants and I knew their frustrations, highly educated in the Philippines. Cost of living today is very expensive. I guess everywhere na siguro. It's true it's your lifestyle on how you create yourself in search of contentment. In Canada it's very comfortable to go around . It's nice here in Canada. Pero sa ngayon medyo pahirap na Rin Ang Canada, For the younger generation who takes risks in their life's journey in Canada and separate with your Love ones. please don't do that. For us Seniors retiring in the Philippines is an option but not long term. There's always pros and Cons according to your goal. Some are Happy some are not. It's more fun in the Philippines SA totoo
lang. There's nothing beautiful in Life but to go back to your roots , your homeland Philippines. Nowadays , thousands of Canadians are going back to the Philippines, young, old and retirees. Other Nationalities are also going to live in the Philippines The future is heading towards Philippines. It is trending now. Most foreigners are having a good life in Pinas. Stay in Pinas SA ngayong panahon
Aangat Ang PILIPINAS no doubt about it.
    MABUHAY!

Left Canada a year ago and now living in the States. Single and getting strapped on taxes for extra shifts. So as a single person there is no sweet spot for us. I would say Canada is good for families as in real kids not furbabies. We have unique priorities.
If you are RN, the US still offers promising growth for us nurses in the industry. I have worked as RN in both countries so I do have a valid comparison what it is like. As RN in Canada, I was overworked and our wages depended on agreements inked between the provincial gov and the unions because basically we are almost entirely public/gov employees.
Babalik pa ba ako? Definitely but not in the near future. Proud Canadian here. Canada is home 🇨🇦🏡Our bureaucracies are stronger. Public services are good, communities safer. I needed a long break from Winter and taxes. Thankful pa din coz if not for Canada I would not be in the States. Labor mobility for high demand professionals within NAFTA is one of the privileges enjoyed by Canadian citizens anytime and anywhere in the States.

One major thing you didn't mention. Families with young kids require daycare. Only 45% of daycares are Gov't funded. Private daycare costs $1,400 to $1,800 a month per child. Most families can't afford this so one spouse ends up working during the day while the other spouse works graveyard shift. This is why Canada can get really depressing as married couples with young children don't get spend quality family time in the evenings as one parent is always at work.

I am sure yung mga gustong magCanada knows they have to work there to be able to survive and have a comfortable life, walang libre kahit saan ka pumunta. Most people know life in the Philippines is much harder even you work your ass off kaya nga sila gustong mag Canada e. Mas madami kasi opportunity basta masipag.

This is reality in Canada. First World Country ‘to. Gan’to ang buhay, we are actually living better than most of the people in other parts of the world. As long as may work ka, maganda ang credit and you can afford to pay your bills maaprobahan ka for financing/grants. They are paid by our taxes which is equally distributed to everyone to make education accessible to all.

Canada or pinas is pareho naman din in terms of owning a property or vehicles. Kung may kaya ka to pay cash then hindi mo uutangin. Pro the same din lang kung sa level ng middle class income earner. Uutangin at uutangin mo ang pambili mo ng sasakyan or property either nsa pinas ka or other country. Ang kagandahan dito sa canada is if you will be able to plan properly, mas madali ka makakuha ng loan unlike sa pinas. Just compare the population of both kung ilang percent are still living in rented homes. We have been an ofw for 15 years before we settled down here in6 canada. But during my 10 years of working in philippines noon. Only when i was able to work as an ofw then kami nakapagpatayo ng bahay and khit na andito kami na sa canada. Still we were able to pay all our mortgages. It is not fair to compare na dito sa canada mababaon ka sa utang. 1st hindi ka naman mabibigyan ng housing loan if you cannot afford the monthly mortgage.

Australia is the same system. During 2021 pandemic, employees who lost their jobs, the government gave $750.00AUD each a week for whole year. Having a car is necessity but registration renewal every year is a killer, plus comprehensive insurance is also a killer. Service maintenance is a costly headache, fuel is another cost. Water rate, electricity bill, council rate and home mortgage with fluctuate interest rate… Good sides: employment income tax reduced from 33 percent to 25 percent. Unemployment benefit $450.00AUD a week. Some people got lazy never wanted to look for jobs. Medical system is free. Ie: surgical and hospital confinement. Consult your general practitioner. Single pensioners, have a net of Au$800/every 2 wks, paid everything..

No. Why would it? Working 2-3 jobs does not guarantee you make more than someone with 1 job. Regardless everyone has the same healthcare, you can also pay monthly for a plan through your work thag would fully cover things that normal medical wouldn't. Like ambulance rides, private hospital rooms etc.

Suggestion to new migrants, find a low cost housing and cheap used car, find a job (temporary) that enough to feed your family, go to school and take short term course. There's a lot to choose. Sacrifice yourself until you graduate. Find another job to upgrade yourself. This will be your stepping stone. Ask the new good friend or relatives for an advice or go to Human Resources.

Huwag baunin yung grab mentality, bring and built a good Filipino Community support lahat tayo nagsimula as new immigrant. Kung bago yang katrabaho mo at new immigrant put your shoe noong kararating ka rin. Be humble give then the support and encourage na from the start mahirap. Huwag isolate Kung May bagong dating Sa trabaho. Help them, be kind and don’t be judgemental. If you have sn information na makakatulong at di nila alam sabihan mo Kung makakatulong.
