you missed his point it'll be end of season so this year it'd be city vs spurs would be rescheduled so the 3 teams fighting for top (2 now liverpool threw it away) wouldn't be playing same day same time to make the drama better is his point it creates atmosphere of having to listen around the ground for whats happening else where

@@woody19995 your literally missing the point its not that are on the same time we all get that its that the games wont line up like this season is already a mess city have 2 games in hand itll stop the drama and tension and the being sat in a ground watching your team live with the other teams fighting for top/religation being seen on your phone to see if your teams gonna win/stay up
@@crkd-ss9nn but city have 2 games in hand because of the extra games they've been playing. Without replays it'll be less of that and it'll all be closer together

@@woody19995 city havent gone to a replay this year though. you clearly don't understand though if the fa cup is a weekend then you'll have a longer season its an extra weekend used up in the season where unless your in that competition your getting rest why would anyone top side want that itll become the league cup and basically pointless to commit your top players to youll also have to then play the pl games at some point so its mid week with lower attendances and a harder fatigue list of playing so city this year wouldve have to have played every 3 days this month to fit all of it with champions league premier league and fa cup all being played at the separate times its
if their gonna scrap replays the need to allow the 2 teams playing each other to decide on the venue then so if yeovil pull man utd again its played at old trafford and they split the revenue from it 50/50 so lower league clubs can have their income resources added to. I personally feel no premier league club should take any money from the fa cup and it should be given to lower league sides anyway
Devil’s advocate: Couldn’t you say that it makes it better for the smaller teams in terms of advancing in the FA cup, which in turn will bring more revenue. If they only have to win a one off game in each round compared to having to play another full 90 minutes of there is a draw? 🤷🏻♂️
To be fair, they either need to remove FA Cup replays, or they need to remove 4 games from the Premier League season.

They should scrap replay from third round onwards but they should also get rid of extra time as well and go straight to penalty so small team still get a chance for a giant killing, or make sure all the big team have home game so smaller team get all the revenue from playing the big teams
The last replay against a big prem side was Shrewsbury vs Liverpool in 2020 so being able to televise more games will be better, this is just a bunch of people using twitter arguments

Completely the opposite, if Wrexham are playing Man City we're going to be shattered after 90 minutes. We don't have anywhere deep enough of a squad to bring on anybody useful where City can then bring on Grealish, Alvarez, doku for example. The longer a game goes on the more it favours the larger teams
I think they should scrap the replays but introduce a rule if a premier league team is level with a lower division team then the lower division goes through,
The replays in my opinion actually favours the big clubs because the likes of Coventry could get a result on a one off game but give them a second chance a big club will more than likely take it

Replays are the horrible. If a lower league team had a good day and Knocks out a prem team then it should stay that way. None of this replay shit

I think the lower ranked side should get to play at home so that the smaller side will atleast get some financial benefit.
if you make europe you shoould not play in domestic cups. there are not enough open dates. either get rid of international football or domestic cups

Incorrect. Not only is the money not trickled down right to the smaller teams, but there are plenty of sides with 3,000 fans trying to scrap with big sides that have had parachute payments, etc. Also, the vetting system for owners in the EFL is shocking, so there are so many clubs scraping by to try and recover from gross mismanagement.

I always hated replays as a kid and I honestly don’t know why anyone would want to keep them outside of just saying “it’s tradition”. Tradition in many cases can be complete and utter crap. What does the FA Cup market itself as? A knockout competition. The reason you should tune in to each game is because you’re going to find out who stays and who gets knocked out…except when it’s a draw in which case you’ll have to wait a few weeks for another game…it’s stupid! And also the idea that it benefits bigger teams I think is just a straight up lie, the reason Giant Killings have happened in the FA Cup is 99% of the time because larger clubs get matched with a smaller club, so the larger team plays a weakened side, underestimates the smaller team, then either loses or can’t find a way to score. If you keep replays then all that happens afterward is the larger side then come back to the new game with a stronger side and batter the smaller club, whereas if you scrap replays then suddenly the larger side who underestimated them are forced to deal with the consequences of fielding a weaker team. Everything is far more exciting, far more impactful and far more in line with what a Knockout Tournament is supposed to be.

Replays are stupid. Either have two legs or extra time/penalties.
Who cares, get rid of them. The revenue issue is also moved because as much as everybody likes to fantasise about it, the bigger Richard teams usually win, so if the game isn’t being played at the lower teams stadium, then it’s not going to be played there anyway because replays don’t happen all that often. It’s not like this is the one and only way to get some revenue to lower league teams instead of the big boys hogging it all. Get rid of them. Make yourselves the only competition that uses a golden goal anymore. That would be actually interesting.
