Tanner Scott would be an excellent addition to the New York Yankees' bullpen, bringing his All-Star-caliber performance and left-handed pitching strength to bolster their relief efforts. However, the Yankees should prioritize using their top prospects to acquire Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Garrett Crochet. Crochet’s high strikeout potential and ability to provide depth in the rotation make him a vital target for the Yankees' postseason ambitions. In addition to these moves, the Yankees should consider adding Angels' Ben Joyce as another possible relief pitcher. Joyce's high-velocity fastball and effectiveness in late-inning situations could further enhance the bullpen's reliability. While adding another quality reliever and a third baseman would be beneficial for the Yankees' overall roster depth, their primary focus should be on securing a reliable closer and a top-tier starting pitcher. These key acquisitions would address the most pressing needs of their pitching staff, potentially making a greater impact on their championship pursuit.
The team knowing an athlete's abilities, limitations, and injuries best is generally the team that he has played with for a few years, so when they give-up on that athlete that team is better positioned to know what and why the did so than a team desperate to add a bat or arm.
Trade Torres, Verdugo. I have seen enough of Verdugo to know he is not answer for left field, way too light a hitter. DFA DJ or trade him. When any team signs players to lengthly contracts to spread the pain of the salary over many years, also to avoid paying luxury taxes and afford salary and roster flexibility, that team knows the back end of that contact will be very unfriendly and bad, with the athlete in decline, so they must be prepared to eat that money and jettison the athlete in those back end years of the contract. If the team is unwilling to DFA the athlete and eat that money, they Hamstring the team roster and guarantee futility and failure.
Last year Yankees didn't even have a legit LF all season. Verdugo is an upgrade and good defensively . Not his fault Yankees need to bat him cleanup. He is not the problem.
Don’t discount the Rangers’ manager Bruce “4 World Series Rings” Buchy.
The Yankees just need to beat the Orioles this afternoon to finally win a series!
So many teams hovering at .500 this year

“People are confused as to whether they should buy or sell” what? Nobody is confused, Michael is the only person confused.

@@giovannijiminez7858 He is batitng around .240, with very little pop, not the skill-set or offensive production expected of a corner outfielder.
MATONis another cheap low tier pitcher. HOPE IT WORKS OUT.
I think the ĹA Dodgers will step up its game on 2nd haft of the season...
