    Method No 4 will likely yield 8-10 inches each of the seed yam and that's a superb produce, talking about method 5 , I will recommend that all the half sacks be opened at the bottom. Good luck to us... 2024 will be a whole lot different, Thank you Mentor 😊

    • @Naturesheritagenetwork

    Why is your emphasis only on how to plant more of seed yams sir??

    • @Naturesheritagenetwork
      @Naturesheritagenetwork  Před 4 měsíci

      I have done a lot on ware yams. Also seed yams take a larger part of production cost. Yam farmers would confirm this. So to cut cost, grow your seed yams. Finally, seed yam farming is very lucrative, it's always a win win situation. Its majorly to make money. If you have leftovers, u plant them yourself.💪

    Please is it good to mix the soil and poultry manure before planting? Or is it better to apply the manure after planting? Which is better? And what ratio of soil to poutry manure?

    • @Naturesheritagenetwork
      @Naturesheritagenetwork  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Ratio 1: 4 is fair enough. Too much organic manure can make the developing tubers to rot with time. For me, I prefer mixing the manure with charcoal dust to form BIOCHAR and the put that at the bottom of the sack before filling with my soil. That serves as a reservoir. I can also apply a little quantity on top after germination. Also I can make manure tea by soaking manure in water for about 3 to 5 days , then use the water in a diluted form to water my sacks. There are many ways. Find what is convenient for you.
