The hawks Lukas Reichel needs to be playing with skilled players, not on the fourth line. I know he hasn't gotten many points this year, but the hawks shouldn't make the same error as they did with Kirby Dach. The hawks hinder development of their young players, by relegating offensive players in checking roles. They aren't winning anyway, in order to develop Reichel play him in the top 6.
We have, he's just having a hard time finding it. He's really struggled adjusting to the physicality of the pro game.
Hawks are going to give him this entire rebuild to figure it out, but tossing him in the top six right now isn't going to help anything.
Gosh, such a clueless comment…😂 Everyone playing in the NHL are the most skilled players in the world, the 0,0004%
The "system" they are playing is just horrible especially for Reichel. They don't utilize his speed or let him play loose, it's get in the offense zone stop, pass to the late man, he needs to cut in and make a play. I know this is the same for most of the team but when the player making the most moves to the net making plays is a defense man (Jones) that's a problem. I believe they need a new coach, the team is not playing with confidence, they look lost most nights, coverage is not there, ect and that falls on the coaching.
@@UrlacherBears54I hope they do give him the time to figure it out and don't impede his development.
Why would you spoil !!
I dont like the Ovi pick. Did not do your research on the Capitals. He is still leading the team in points and kuznetsov has been far more disappointing
Truth!
i agree about the ovi pick being bad, but the entire caps roster has been dissapointing this year. same problem every year since 2018. Kuzy not performing (sad to see him go but it's good for the team), Oshie and Backstrom not being able to stay healthy, and Pacioretty missing a big chunk of the season after signing. The team is just falling apart. Sad to see. Hopefully these young guys they're calling up can impact the team, Ovi needs the help, he's not a one man power house like he used to be. I really hope he can pick it up and still break that record. 55 goals to go as of typing this.
Dude no way Vasy is the most disappointing player for the bolts, we didn’t expect him to be great after surgery but he’s still kept us in games and stolen a few, just ask the Oilers. Jeannot would’ve been my pick
Honestly I would say Conor Sheary, at least Jeannot throws hits and gets into fights (injured at the moment though)
I'm thinking it IS Vasy. Defense has been really bad this whole season, and I know Sergy was injured and now he's out, and so was Cernak, and he's back, but the Bolts have used something like 13 different defensemen this season so the chemistry might not be there yet. Vasy has been noticeably slower, not as sharp and just not his old self. Maybe The Big cat is getting old and the surgery didn't help. The team is scoring goals and there are 5 guys with +50 points so I'm putting the losses on defense and I know the goalie can't be held solely to blame but 9 goals by The Panthers, a good team. I just don't think Vasy has it this year.
@@Disciple_Of_Lerxst of course he’s gonna be slower playin with 13 different D men and a bunch of rookies at that, you don’t know who you can and can’t trust to make a block, so you cover more to 1 side, expecting them to not block it, then it gets deflected or passed to the open side. It’s a defense as a whole issue, not a goalie issue.
@@godtieralt492 I agree with you as far as the entire defensive side goes, but I'm stickin' with Vasy. Around the time I posted my comment, the bolts lost to Florida (I think) and Vasy got pulled. They played Calgary and got embarrassed. I'm not Vasy, but I think the first 2 goals should have been stopped.
I'm not sayin' Vasy ain't tryin' but he's not performing they way the goalie, who was considered the best goalie in the NHL just last year, should.
I'm not gonna blame some middle tier defenseman like Perbix for the losses. The Bolts have plenty of middle tier D-men to bring up and they did when they needed them and we still won some and lost some and Vasy was there for those losses.
I know it's not the same team as a couple of years ago and Sergy is out and Cernak was out and Cernak hasn't been laying down to block shots like he did the past couple of years and I get it, blocking shots hurts and it comes with a big physical toll. Hedman is doing great getting assists and scoring, hell, he's having an outstanding season with what, 60+ points, maybe he should stay back a little more if Vasy can't handle it.
A few weeks ago Vasy manned up and took the blame when he said he needs to step up and do a better job, so he knows he's not playing his best game.
The whole point was to post who WE, as fans, thought was the weak link and I say, with a lot of help from a sagging defense, it's still Vasy.
Zergas has had a couple of big injuries so far this season. Yeah, he got off to a slow start but he also missed training camp which didn't help. He was showing signs of taking to Verbeek's system and becoming a better two-way player. If he is OK with playing on the wing there is no reason to trade him. The Ducks need wingers, and he could become a fantastic one. Too soon to judge him.
When Krug just put up 5 assists tonight
Still -1… some how lol
@@Connor-iy8sw3 were on the PP...no one gets +/- when the team with a PP scores, but if theres a shorty, they do. This rule is how i can tell the true hockey fans from the bandwagon people.
Samsonov has bounced back pretty well
As a Leafs fan I would consider Bertuzzi to be the biggest disappointment of our season, not Samsonov.
The bar both have set is very low
At least when Bertuzzi has a bad game it doesn't negate a 5 goal game by the rest of the team
by far, Samsonov might have gone through a bad patch but is still a great goalie, Bertuzzi and Domi are just not great players.
Sammy has been 6-2 since his break Bert hasn’t been great all season
And now Bertuzzi's put up a hat trick (shrugs)
Yeah, Canadiens' Josh Anderson has a horrible season, especially at 5.5M$. At least we dodged the Dubois debacle
They are still dealing with a bad contract lol
Their is nothing wrong with Perron this season. He is just doing fine. Kane took over his spot. Perron can get us a goal when we need one.
Goudreau is not the biggest disappointment for Columbus. He is their leading scorer, but they balance their scoring all around. Patrick Lianie is Columbus's biggest disappointment.
I would say either him or Ivan Provorov, both are pretty big lemons this season
That’s not how you spell Gaudreau or Laine
Try learning to spell
Yeah, the RyJo experiment in Colorado hasn't worked out, at all. He's been religated to the 4th line lately. No more PP1 time either.
Lol, Krug just had 5 assists today. Not saying that undercuts the argument, but he has been playing better as of late.
Islanders should be the entire team. Collapsing every lead they have this year. 14 OT losses
Dont worry new narrator i think you did good! People just hate change.
The only thing Perron did wrong was hit the wrong guy.
The PLD trade has proven to be Jets' greatest move and the Kings' worst nightmare. The $8.5 million the Kings spent on PLD has worked out to what, $300,000 per point this season?
The general consensus, at the time of the trade, was the Jets won the deal. That may now be the understatement of the season.
as a Wings fan - I think Copp has been the biggest disappointment.
It’s a toss up, copp gets the puck up the ice. Perron been a bit of a rat for us this year which I don’t like to see from the wings
Hey thanks for not quoting Laine for the CBJ, mental health struggle is nothing to look down upon. The CBJ have made many mistakes over the past years ((Babcock, really ? the fuck were ya thinking Jarmo ?) but their handling of Laine or Texier a year and a half prior to that to help them save their minds from more harm is very respectable.
Great video as usual although I don't really appreciate the Ovechkin stance. I know it is easy to blame father time on slumps but keep in mind that within the last year or so he has had quite a tough time mentally as well. Last year he lost his father who was prolly his biggest supporter ever and it takes time to figure out life without someone like that. His death hit him real hard and it'll take a long time to recover mentally from such tragedy. He was still a relatively young man too in his early 70s so if someone were to pass on still kind of early like that I would be uncertain as well. I think it is a little too soon to be doing these types of videos anyway too. Maybe wait another month or so and revisit it idk
Gonna predict as a Vegas fan our guy is gonna be Brett Howden. Hes been pretty bad this year and I was pretty shocked when the team didnt let him walk after arbitration
Barrett Hayton with the Coyotes this year. Was supposed to be playing on the first line with Keller, but got hurt for a long stretch and is just coming back now.
Second vote goes to the terrible chrome helmets being rocked by Vegas and L.A.
I’d save Orlov has been significantly more disappointing this year than Deangelo for my Canes. Deangelo was a speculative add, while we’re paying Orlov $7.75 mil to be mediocre at best
It's of interest how the Leafs have neverending goaltending issues, with multiple different goalies, and yet everyone just blames the goalies. Maybe (not really maybe) their defense is dogshit and they play like tier 4 beer leaguers in their own zone. Just a thought.
Not saying you're completely wrong but sammy has been MUCH better as of late and earlier in the year the leafs had the best save % in the league when games Sammy played were taken out🤣 he was kinda sorta really fucking brutal unlike any goalie I can remember as a leaf ever lol
If the Leafs give over 40 million to 4 forwards, you’d expect there to be holes elsewhere on the Leafs in a hard cap league. The leafs core 4 experiment was interesting as it had never been done before in the NHL in the hard cap era, but all it has shown everybody is how not to build your roster as it doesn’t afford a team cap space to build a complete roster that can compete against elite teams in the playoffs.
As a red wings fan who hasn’t watched this video yet, I will be VERY surprised if this is not Andrew Copp
As a Habs fan, I completely get going with Josh Anderson but my pick would personally be Brendan Gallagher. He's been healthy aside from the 5-game suspension he served, but I want more than a 4th liner. For a guy paid $6.5mil for the next 3 years, I expect him to be a healthy scratch soon and the "A" off his chest, he hasn't been playing that style of game in front of the net, he's blown up by the end of the 1st period, and has fallen off hard from the 30 goal 50 point scorer he was at one point in his career. Dude has nothing left for the game of Hockey, the game has passed him by, but he's still trying to catch the bus.
Buffalo’s Tage Thompson missed time with a serious hand and leg injury. The King’s PLD under performing is no surprise,he has done this on every team he has played on.
To be truthful about Samsonov. He had made a bit of a cone back.

Can’t say the same for Campbell
as a preds fan, I have never liked Glass or seen any potential in him
How is Jack Campbell not on the Edmonton slot?
"Johnny Gaudreau, best player to ever hit free agency" 😂😂
I know, when I heard that, I spit out my milk.🥴🥴🥴😝🤣🤣
I know, when I heard that, I spit out my milk.🥴🥴🥴😝🤣🤣
I know, when I heard that, I spit out my milk.🥴🥴🥴😝🤣🤣
Don’t agree with Tony being the worst for Carolina. Him being a healthy scratch was because his role wasn’t to necessarily be a starter. We have a ridiculous D group so he’s a back up.
Kotkaniemi on the other hand has been way underproducing for the contract he has. IMO he’s the worst contract on the team
Sorokin will not be a
Problem and should not be on this list even though it makes sense.
I dunno, Mayfield's huge extension and massive fall off in play would be the best pick.
@@adamjrusso good point
No one expected anything from Josh Anderson. As a Habs fan, if I had to pick one, it'd probably be Caufield. Many expected him to score 40+ this season but he's on pace for 26 as I'm writing this.
Zegras has 7 points this season? SEVEN?!
Wwow.
He played hurt his first 13 games with an LBI as a result of missing camp
Since Logan Stanley has done a full 180° in the last dozen games of the season, I think Dubois deserves to be named worst player on the Jets as well as the Kings. He sucks so bad he should be able to hold that title twice.
I think for the Jets we can look at Rasmus kupari as well, hes played 22 games, with 1 assist 🫠 the potential is there! But he definitely needs to be in the ahl longer to develop.
yeah i wouldnt pick Stanley since I'm not sure anyone expected more out of him. It might be unfair but let's face it Perfetti started the year as #2 Centre, our biggest hole, that didn't work out. He had some good games for sure and the future is still bright, but I would think it would be disappointing to the team that he wasnt able to take that role. I think Ehlers was maybe hopeful of taking a step forward too. He's having a decent season, not consistent enough, scoring at his career avg pts/game when he should be in his prime. Slower pace then in years 2 & 3 for example. He seems to be there when we need him though. Really slim pickings for a disappointing player though as the team is playing so great!
With the Blues, I was going to guess Vrana. He should be on the 2nd line with 15-20 G and he is in the AHL - flop.
Huberdeau has been disappointing overall, yet he does show signs of his previous self here and there, just to make it worse, so he may improve, or not
He is not working out, and we have like 6/7 more years left on that deadweight of a contract.
For the Canucks, so far this season biggest disappointment is easily Ilya Mikheyev
Guy can’t hit the net to save his life and the puck just dies on his stick
Correct. If you can score on a line with EP40, something is very wrong.
Detroit's worst contact is Justin Holl. 5 assists (3 of which were in one game) and a +7 in 35 games for $3.4 million. I scratched my head when Yzerman signed him for that much.
Ken Holland saw a player coming off a nearly season-long injury who could get a performance bonus, so naturally he signed him to a league minimum contract plus a performance bonus of 25 games played and 10 goals scored of 1 million dollars. Oh wait that's not what happened. Classic Holland move
Edmonton signed the one player who couldn't score a goal. And another ex leaf disaster.
Goalies are like golfers. They either have it or don't. And once they lose it, it can be an exercise in patience to get it back.
You can't judge PLD until the playoffs are over. If we win at least two rounds and he is instrumental, there is 0 regrets.
Tony Boloney hasn't necessarily been that bad, it's just impossible to say he should be playing ahead of Chatfield or even Burns. We've played him as just a QB some games, where he slots in as a 7th dman. But without injuries to forwards, spending a roster spot on a guy who'll play maybe 5 minutes a game would be silly. He'd make the third line on most teams but when you have Jalen Chatfield and Dmitri Orlov on your third line, Tony just isn't gonna make the cut.
Samsonov started with a definite wobble, but he has recovered. Tyler Bertuzzi has not. And he costs more.
Bertuzzi has recovered.
Can't help but notice how many players on this list have spent time in Calgary. Goes a lot to explain why they underachieve so much.
Kakko hasn't been a disappointment. Sure he's not putting up numbers on the stat sheet, but it's the fact that Mika Zibanejad and Kreider cannot play 5v5 for their life that results in that. If anything, the biggest dissapointment should be Mika. The stat sheet says he has 54 points in 60 games but just digest this nugget: He is the 1st line center and has not scored a 5v5 goal since Christmas. It is currently March.
The avalanche's biggest disappointment is Georgie he has not been consistent at all this season some games he will do good then the next game does shit and backup goalies are even worse
Greig turtled and sold it like a wimp. The hit served him right, and he'll think twice before being a d ! < %
Rielly should hit him harder
Johnny made the worst choice of his career to sign with Columbus
Dubois has had dry spells but he’s been playing a lot better as of late.
EK65 has been pretty good overall, the powerplay isn't really his fault. It's more of a stubborn coaching thing. The easiest player for the penguins in this role is Ryan Graves, who has been absolutely been a paperweight on the ice. Karlsson's pure existence allows Letang to actually play again, and has boasted his (along with MPs) stats due to filling a role. Graves is actively harming the d-core.
Duclair is great, his productivity is much better now.
Thompson has 7 goals in the last 5 games definitely playing better now
As a Wild fan, gus has been bad… I don’t ever judge him as a player since ice hockey goalie is probably one of the hardest positions to play in ANY sport in the world, but I can say inconsistent goaltending is probably why we are missing playoffs this year
I think the flyers most disappointing player has too be Carter hart..I don’t think you could be anymore disappointed in a player than him..when he was arrested he was probably a top five goalie in the nhl .after being arrested the flyers goaltending might have been one of the worst in the nhl
Yeah this didn't age well, Dubois has been one of the best players on the Kings since the coaching change.
The pens need to let Erik do his own thing. He knows more than us on the power play. It’s insane how we care so much about not changing
For the Canucks it’s Ilya Mikheyev sadly 😢
Samsonav is better now. I think Bertuzzi should be on the list
As a sabres fan it only makes sense that we would get teased by god when it comes to finally having an elite wing
Isn’t the most disappointing for the Bruins Milan Lucic??
Edit: Also Oilers is Jack Campbell.. At least Brown is effective on the penalty kill… but Soup is more of a cap hit playing in the minors..
Put the lotto line back together and then EL23 between Mikhy and Hőg. Imagine Pewie Lafferty and PDG as a 4th line!
Wings should have been either Copp or Husso. Copp has the Michigan connection and should be bringing more than penalty minutes. Husso has been swiss cheese and our saving grace has been Alex Lyon or else there would be no chance at the playoffs.
Fully agree that RyJo has been disappointing this season so far, made even more obvious since all star break with our current losing streak, he just don't seem to care and can't keep up with the pace, all avs fans been saying for a while that he needs to go asap if we gonna have a chance in playoffs, I know avs need players but I'd take a bag of pucks at this point
as a habs fan i think anderson and cauflied is an biggest dispointment this year
Samsonov has improved in my eyes tbh 😅
I knew it was gonna be Anderson, but quite frankly for the habs it should be Barron. I know he's young and will get better but his deffensive play is just unacceptable.
Having the Devils and Islanders next to each other makes the Vanecek vs Sorokin disappointments comparision quite... jarring
I'd replace Trevor Zegras with Alex Killorn. That guy is supposed to be the "Veteran/leadership" on the team, but looks like he can barely keep up with the guys on the top 2 lines.
No way you didnt choose bertuzzi for the leafs
I’m kinda shocked that for Chicago it wasn’t Seth Jones, who is still on a major contract and is a -19 with 1 goal despite being seen as an offensive defenseman
This dude called Darryl Sutter "Darryl Suter".
Vitek horrible, but Timo Meier came with so much hype & then signed that big contract ... absolute dud ... he'd be on my list
So many terrible long-term contracts on this list ... these guys are absolute organizational killers.
Logan Coutire of the San Jose Sharks, never should have been in the NHLlet alone the AHL...
Zegras is honestly a joke to me. He is what you get when you let an Instagram trickshot kid play in the NHL. All he is good for is occasionally scoring flashy highlight reel goals. He will most likely never hoist the cup, unless he gets traded to a team already on its way there. Which will probably never happen because cup contending teams have no interest in purchasing players like him. He will always be the guy scoring showboaty goals for teams people dont want to watch otherwise.
lol and today Ovi is at 14 goals in 49 games and can easily hit at least 25. Also when you made this video he was still leading the team in points. He’s been somewhat productive. The clear answer for our most disappointing player is Darcy Kuemper. Essentially lost his net before the all star break and we’re paying him $5 million to back up Lindgren. I also think Kuznetsov is more disappointing than Ovi.
Truth!
Carlson also hasn’t been the same since the skull fracture
You need to adjust your totals on these players because you got most of them at 42 games and yeah some of their totals are low but some of them are right on par so it’s not fair what you’re doing!! April 15, 7:41 PM
As a sharks fan. I can solidly say it's Mike Rathje.
For the majority of goalies the sv% is down this year. Gustavsson is a victim of more goals being scored in general this year and both injury and a worse Wild team as their youngsters are taking over this year. The team that should be kicking themselves in that deal is still Ottawa who seems to always have a young talented goalie they trade away so he can be the starter elsewhere.
This aged well for Sammy!
didn’t age well. kakko’s been on fire lately
Tony Deangelo is our 7th best dman and we knew that when we signed him. Can’t be disappointed if the expectations weren’t high to begin with. He sucks tho
give vasy a break
tampas playing worse than normal, its not just him
Don’t ever count Ovi out! Kuemper is a big disappointment.
Me watching this as ovie is on a 5 game goal streak
😂
Kuzmenko seems to have revitalized Huberbeau so we'll seem where that goes. Right now Ilya Mikheyev is the most disappointing Canuck!
With My Chicago Blackhawks, I'd have said Tayler Raddysh. I think that he's doing horrible this season, as compared to last.
I don’t agree with Reichel. Kid needs better experience for sure but not exactly the worst on the team. Seth Jones easily should be the worst. Bro is a poison to the team, and is consistently the problem for Chicago. They need to pay him out and let him go
Bertuzzi is my pick over Sammy for the leafs
To be fair zegras has been injured so really can’t blame him
Ilya Mikheyev would be my Canucks for this list. Hot start but has been invisible for MONTHS. even when playing with Pettersson. 0 Finish
My biggest question is... Perron over Copp? That's... That's an interesting selection...
I'd go with Husso, personally. Copp has done alright. He's not meant to be a superstar, he's just overpaid.
You take that back about Sammy! He just misses his family.
Brown over Campbell? I guess thats because no one had high hopes for Campbell..
Brown can't even score a goal at least Swiss Cheese Jack Campbell can sometimes make a save. Goals win you the game
It's Campbell for me. He's gone from #1 goalie to playing for Bakersfield. At least Brown is in the NHL, and he can kill pens.
I didn’t expect joonas korpisalo to be on this list…. Like put Artem zub he is worse
Penguins isn't Erik.. it's Graves..
I don’t think people were very high on Graves coming into the season. I think the most disappointing has been Rakell. He’s only got 5 goals this season.
Basically anyone but Sid & Jake and maybe Letang are acceptable answers IMO. Will be sad if Jake is traded but seems the writing is on the wall unless something changes quick
Duclair did well at the end of the
Great job. As a Sabre fan, I can tell you you could pick ten of those losers.
Karlsson is not the most disappointing player I love geno but geno can’t keep up how he’s playing
