How to Adjust the Backset on a Door Latch

Most door latches on the market today are adjustable, so that you can change the backset between 2-3/8" and 2-3/4". This brief video will show how to adjust the backset on a door latch. This method is applicable to all Designers Impressions door knobs and levers, as well as most Callan door knobs and levers. It may also apply to other brands, depending on the configuration of the door latch.

Most the door handles I’ve looked at say only 1 3/4 in thick door? We built a custom door and it’s 2 3/4 in think.. (I know but it’s insulated cold weather in the north) can seem to find a handle that says it can work? If this is true.. I’m a happy camper 😂

Doesnt help i have an Atlas Home Security and its a different style that no one has a tutorial for
