- Martha Plimpton's acceptance speech after winning the Emmy Award for "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series" for playing Patti Nyholm on Season 3 of The Good Wife.
The Creative Arts ceremony was on September 15, 2012.
Martha Plimpton is one of the hardest working theater actresses around and a scene stealer in whatever she does. So nice to see her finally getting the commercial recognition she deserves.
I adore Martha Plimpton. I think she has a tremendously humble spirit, and one of the funniest women out there period.

During my vacation the few times i watched tv i saw her on Family Ties i look her up... wow i been living under a rock!
She really did steal her scenes whenever she was on screen in The Good Wife. She was such a broad on the show and probably the only attorney her truly gave Lockheart and Garner a true run for their money.

Martha Plimpton was in The Goonies which makes her f$#king awesome. She also did an amazing movie called Shy People back in the 80's that makes her even awesomerer.

Don't know how or why Julia Ormond was nominated, her fake accent was pathetic on Mad Men. Not a single French speaker would buy her performance.
