I’ve had my helix floor for about 6 years & have had this problem about 2 years ago.A computer repair shop managed to solder the terminals inside the joystick but the same problem has just occurred so it must be a design floor.Having said that I am still impressed with what a good guitar processor it is and so easy to navigate.

Glad you paved the way. This is probably on many units out there from the early shipments. I'm next. Should be fun.

I use the Helix Editor almost all the time for building patches, making changes, etc, so rarely use the toggle on the unit, however my tap tempo (well used for 7 years) is getting weird so I think I’m gonna have to go inside her to see what’s up with that. Thanks for the video ,good job!

Take out the black screw at 3:21 and you can lift out the entire joystick, so you don't need to solder down inside the ring - much easier. :-)

Mine has this problem. I've literally only used it evrytime there was an update. Then it goes back under the bed. I cant see how it can be damaged. Update, I had a mail from a supplier. The Potentiomer is £16 or so but the pcb that it mounts to is 200. I doubt I will throw 200 at it since it seems to have lasted a matter of hours so far. So tempted to go in

I have currently 2 footswitches failing and 2 that are starting to fail.
Can you do a video on fixing the failing footswitches if you don't mind? I think it's just a matter of cleaning up the insides with something like a contact cleaner or something but I have 0 experience with anything like this.
I'm already scared to open up mine knowing well that there might be some real gross stuff like bugs in my own Helix lt though. lol
I have cats so there's ganna be a mountain of cat hair in ther fore sure.
    Btw thank you.

Not sure if you’ll respond to this but have you had issues with the XLR latching mechanism? I have had TWO helix’s do the exact same thing with the latching mechanism being shoved into the socket. I’m not sure if I’m explain myself well. Anyways great video

I've had broken toggle switches on Line 6 devices. There's something wrong with the the parts they use.
