No, the tone controls are not digitally controlled, thus they are not stored. One could see this as a downside, but it makes changing your settings according to the room easier, if they were stored you’d have to go through multiple sounds, change and save if you had to for example reduce the bass for sounding better in a specific room for instance.
@@NicoSchliemann Thanks for the reply! So when I change from one channel to another I will have to reset my tone controls manual each time to get the tones I want. That's not good for live playing I would think.
Well yes and no, you would need to change, when you change channels, but honestly, it’s worked like that for ages with so many 2 channel amps with shared EQ…
Hi Nico, Whats your opinion about the amp1? Is it amp like? Good sounds? Also decent clean? I own a Kemper but also Hook amp. Wonder if it can compete with those
Ive used the amp1 extensively against a mesa mk v and many others. It blows the overpriced and over rated kemper to pieces and will match any amp if you know how to listen and tweak it.
Samuel Guymer - I play a Marshall Origin 20 head into an Orange 112 (Celestion Vintage 30). The Cabinet / Speaker choice was absolutely critical in taming the harshness from the amp. I wonder if those commenting on the AMP1 perceived “harshness” might benefit from trying different speakers? I’m quite tempted by one of these for a gig backup in case no.1 pops a tube. Talking of which, where do you source a new nanotube? It will degrade in time.
@@MS-Patriot2 I have played the first version BluGuitar amp and the perfect speaker to me was the Celestion Creamback. It tames the high end and just sounds killer. BluGuitar really is loud and sounds like a tube amp not a digital amp with all their harsh fizzy artifacts.
Bob Boitt good to hear you’ve got it tamed. So much depends on the speaker and this is often overlooked. Thanks for sharing your experience on the quest for genuine tone happiness.
you've got some Gear I bought the amp 1 Mercury didn't last a month sold metallic fizzy sound felt like I've been stolen from brought on the strength of comments like these makes me think that lot of these comments are part of a PR group the rest of the comments are deluded fools in denial
One question..... Since all the channels share the same eq.... How can the amp1 be used in a live situation? For example if I set my clean channel sound with bass 5, treble 5 and mids 2 this eq settings will be applied also to the distorted channels. Will these settings sound good? Or you will be forced to change them in order to get a good drive sound and then destroy your clean.
I use it live.... no problem, you have to find a eq that works fine with every channel, not difficult..., of course is better to eq every channel, but you can´t have it all. There are a lot of amps with just 2 channels that share the eq and they are 50 times bigger.
@@BOUZOUKISIGNIS I have my own review from amp1 mercury edition if you want to have a look,.., not as good as this one :) Playing with a celestion Sidewinder speaker 12" czcams.com/video/TLmG6F2F_hI/video.html
Klingt alles mega.
@@NicoSchliemann ah right du hast recht.
What? People will literally find anything to complain about LOL great demo and by the way people keep mentioning about how the gain sounds fizzy I think that's what it's going for duh lololol vintage vibes orange etc
I have the 1st version and it honestly blew me away with the tones and sheer volume. Its not a toy its a serious amp!
Finally, a proper demo of this amp's gain ranges! Everytime Blug demos this the gain is on 10 throughout. Thanks for doing it right!
+iceman7511 thanks a lot, but let’s be honest, Thomas is an old school guy, he has his gain palette on his volume knob :)
Das bislang beste Vorstellungsvideo des Amp1 Mercury > TOP👍👍
So why are you not using one
Sounds amazing
+Jords thanks a lot
wow. The best Demo on youtube
+dannyrockguitaroz thank you
Excellent demo and playing:)

great demo!
Great great demo! When you store the channels, will it let you also store the bass, meds, treble also for each channel?

the gain seems very fizzy when set above 5 on classic and modern channels.
Ich habe gesehen, dass du Two Notes-Produkte nutzt. Ist das mit einem der Torpedo-Geräte aufgenommen?
JanDeluxe78 jap, das two notes torpedo live
Bravo!🎸🤘🏻
Awesome demo. How does it compare with the first version? Is really that different?
unfortunately i don't know version 1 that good (played it just a few times a longer time ago, so no real A B comparison here)
habe meine fehler gesehen .sounds great thanks
Also how do you have the controls on the side set?
if I only knew...
Hey sounds great. How are you running this here in this video? Direct?
