Word of warning to anyone looking to buy the Harbor Freight Truck bed extender.
Although HF sells this as a single product, they actually have three different partnumbers for it.
    69650, 45830, 56219.
I recently went to HF to buy one and they had only the 56219. This one is "Garbage!" Too short in the T-bar. Does not come with two J-Pins. It won't work well with a Ford F-150!
I went to "another" HF that had the PN 69650 in stock. This one is the "Good" one. The T-Bar is longer with more spacing between the adjustment holes and it comes with two quality J-Pins for connecting it up. They were happy to make the swap and surprised at the differences.
So make sure the one you get is PN 69650... NOT 56219. (Sorry I don't know anything about the third PN 45830...)
This video reviewed the 56219. You can see at 4:15 how it is too short. Take it back and insist on the PN 69650. Much better product.

Yep, I bought the wrong one for my f150 also. I didn’t know about the two different models. So I welded 8 inches to the top of the j bar it goes all the way to the top of the T bar. Works great now.

Wow this is good to know. I made a video on the one I got the other day that is going back because it is so loose fitting and not high enough

I just got the 69650 . . . much better than what you see here. I fixed the little bit of wobble my 69650 had and satisfied it will perform without any issues. All my connections are tight, locked and Crossbar is Level on my F150. Paid $65.

If you need to carry longer cargo, rotate the L bar. Put the short length into the receiver and the T onto of the long section. Now you have a brace that's 18 inches past your bumper that is the height of your cab...

Thanks for the video. I’m doing some renovation and didn’t want to buy a trailer just to haul some 12’ & 16’ boards around. This validates my issue. Good review and info from your views comments.

I like that, but I think I'll paint the extender bright red or with reflective tape

i would put some reflectors on the back of that cross bar

It is in my area. I would check what is legal in your location. Here in San Antonio we are a pretty large city so I wouldn't see it being a problem in most areas.
