TINY STUDIO MAKEOVER. FROM WORK SPACE INTO A BEDROOM FOR FIVE!!! - AND A LIFE UPDATE.

- Well guys! I'm back after a long hiatus but this one is a video with a difference.
Life has thrown some curveballs and challenges my way of late ( as I am sure it has many of you) and I have decided to retire the old apron for the time being to focus on other, much neglected aspects of my life. One thing I didn't expect to discover during my break, was my love for room makeovers and renovation!
As a result of a series of unfortunate events ( sounds like a great title for a movie!), my daughter and her family found themselves in a position where they needed emergency, temporary accommodation...AND FAST!
Well, it just so happened that I had a room sitting unused and available (my studio that is) . Yes, it's a very small room, but this Mumma was determined to make it work.
After a lot of brainstorming and planning, I set to work on converting my now defunct cake studio/filming space, into a bedroom that would be able to accommodate 5 people without it feeling too cramped.
Over the course of 2 and a half weeks I organised, cleaned, emptied, repaired, painted, carpeted, dressed and furnished the studio to create a new, fresh and functional space for my daughter and her little family.
I am happy to report that, three weeks in, they are happy, settled and comfortable in their new room and are well and truly on the path to finding their own space.
I hope you guys enjoy this bedroom/studio renovation/makeover and stay with me on this crazy CZcams journey into the future.

Not that you'll be doing this again anytime soon, but that sticky backing comes off pretty easy if you use 99.9% isopropyl alcohol. The place I moved into 8yrs ago had large patches of that, but it had completely dried and yellowed. Some of the larger spots, I had to soak a cloth in ISO and hold it in place a minute or 2, but it peeled right up.
