People hated Dream a lot but you guys need to respect the fact that he might’ve saved a life.
Ultimately it was dreams fanbase acting out against "that annoying kid" they don't like in the SMP's.

Only changing his tone once the other creators in that community start taking it upon themselves to bring it to light?
Dream had air of ignorance for the acts of his fanbase and didn't want to do or say anything that could turn his toxic community against him, and lead to his influence and income being put at risk. Granted dream didn't intentionally cause this to happen, but he continually upkept an environment that festered the worst kinds of people, while turning a blind eye to their acts for too long, all for money and fame.
This sort of thing happens constantly, a small creator/influencer (usually those who aren't used to popularity) suddenly find themselves at the pinnacle of fame. You can get away with a lot when you've got an obsessive cult worshipping your every breath. The person in question will usually not want to give this up until something drastic occurs.

This shows that Dream isn’t really that bad of a guy. He helped Tommy in a state of danger, and even stayed with him the entire way through! It’s unfortunate that Dream gets a lot of hate, even though he actually cares for his friends.
Another note, Dream doesn’t deserve his fanbase. All they see is a character that they idolize, and when Dream doesn’t put on this character, they riot. It’s become cult-like and needs to stop.

The reason he quit was he got doxxed and they ordered like £1000+ of stuff everyday to his house and then he got letters delivered one of them being a signed letter from "tom" saying he was being abused by his parents the police told them to stop opening the letters since they could be laced with poison. A year or two ago a real freak from Poppytwt found out where he lived and posted it on Twitter. He detailed how he was going to kidnap Tommy with the purpose of sexually assaulting him and filming it. Now I think this might’ve been his 18th birthday or 17th birthday. Something big was happening in Tommy’s life and this man really wanted to ruin that. The comments were disgusting. Encouraging him to do it,saying they were going to go too. And that they could all join him together.
People from Tommy’s community found these tweets and attempted to alert Tommy’s adult friends to the situation. Mainly Wilbur to get him to call Tommy.
I think this is what Dream is talking about but it could be something entirely unrelated to that situation.
But yes someone had Tommy’s address and said they were going to r word him and kidnap him and gave details of how’d they do it and people encouraged him and were asking to join it for better results.
Tommy’s fans found this and hurriedly tried to get the attention of Tommy of his friends to alert him to the situation.
I’d like to think Dream isn’t a bad person and he is simply just a human who makes mistakes like us, but also genuinely cares about his friends and doesn’t want anything bad to happen to them :)

I'm honestly so happy I started watching tommyinnit. I remember the first day, it was August 11th of 2021. Like the dsmp makes me so happy, and so nice to know that you didn't quit! Even after everything that happened you still pushed through. But if you ever make a tour to America I'ma for sure try to go. Because that's something I DONT want to miss!! And it's also nice to know that Dream basically help save ur life. Because you could've gotten attacked. It's good he told you what to do. Otherwise who knows what would've happened.

I think throughout the years you were a CZcamsr, when lockdown came and I was all alone and had no friends like at all..when I watched youre videos my face would light up and I’d be laughing and smiling and it felt amazing. I genuinely love the fact that Tommy isn't scared to be real with us, I mean the fact that this video even came out is a brave act in itself. "I'm in the big leagues now" Tommy states. Which makes me think He really is, I remember sitting there 2 1/2 years ago, Dream smp barely begun and about 4 hours into a binge trying to catch up on all the video's I've missed. That time was genuinely a time where I was myself, happy and free. I mean I knew that it would all come to an end and I still believe that, but I'm going to cherish what I have while I have it. Now look at Tommy, he's literally "In the big leagues"! I have gone through so much with this fandom, through hate, meeting other enjoyers, mourning a death (I still watch your vids Technoblade, love ya) and watching them save multiple lives, including mine, multiple times. That's a story for another time.
Tom has had people come to his home, invade his own safety all because their so called "fans" I genuinely hate most of the people in this community due to the fact that they make us all seem like bad people. I shouldn't have to be afraid of telling people how I like to kill time or what I enjoy, it's upsetting. It's the type of people that hate on not only Dream but others around him just because of the fact that their insecure in some way, do something out of the societies normal view or just for fun, to want to pick someone down to their level. Dream has saved lives. You wouldn't say this kind of stuff to anyone else who has saved lives, would you? So why Dream, or Tommy, or anyone else for that matter! Even yet, through all of this hate they are still out here, making people happy, to spite their own. They persevere through hell just to make their mark in life, to make people happy and to make a living. Dream has called Tommy before and told him to lock up his home because people are coming to disrupt his safety. Dream stayed on that same call for hours comforting Tommy, who mind you is under 18 at the time, and his frightened parents. Now that is some true horror shit. I mean, imagine being 16-17 and dealing with that, I bet 20 year olds can't even imagine it. This reason is proof that Dream might just be the only reason Tommy hasn't given up by now. Who wouldn't have after being sent hate, death threats, and more throughout it all, everything, since the beginning.
His first live show was a talent show that was filled with his friends and him having fun. That was his debut to now, He has an improv channel with 4 of his friends, he wants to be a comedian now, and he's booked 15 different theaters to share his story. It kind of hurts me in some way, seeing the fact that were about the same age, I mean it's scary that that we've grown up in the same era of time, or even that I have spent a couple of years, growing up with him by my side. I get most of what you're saying but I encourage you to do some research on the Dream situation. I respect him for helping Tom but he's done some stuff that makes me not watch him anymore and not even apologized for it. So, while I agree with you, mostly, I do encourage you to look up what happened with Dream.

I’m gonna be completely honest. I left the Dream SMP fandom and community months ago. I couldn’t handle the mental pressure it put on me with the constant toxicity of the community and haters. But coming back to this, and seeing how far Tommyinnit has come. It makes me happy. Can’t wait to see where this goes!

I think part of the charm of the show was how hectic it felt, instead of feeling forced or overly organized, it was just a bunch of friends having fun! You could tell that everyone there was enjoying themselves. So proud of you for how far you've been able to go!

I only have this one girl that likes the dsmp, she was the one to tell me about them but I didn't care back in 2020. that's because I was blind. I was so stupid. now to think about it I could have known them from a long time ago and I could have watched their streams, I could have known them for TWO YEARS, younger me would have loved you guys, but instead I was only there for Tommy's last dsmp visit. I found Tom 4 years ago and instantly became invested, although I was like 9-10 years old this guy was my dream. I was obsessed with Tommy and watched so many of his CZcams vids 😭 it was crazy, it was all I wanted to do. To see how far he got from back then, to today. It's mind blowing. I love you tommy, in a lot of cases you saved me. And I'm so proud of you
