  • I had the pleasure of meeting Li Mei once before when Xuelin and I did a live stream with her in Mountain City Alley earlier this year. She does some amazing sugar painting art, and can make almost any kind of drawing you can imagine. She recently moved back to Longxing ancient town where we went to meet her again, and get a closer look at her sugar painting and I was able to get some more detailed photos and videos of her work.

    I've been trying to learn how to do this at home but I haven't found a good recipe. Do you know what type of sugar she's using?

      It's melted white sugar. Caramelized

      @@iChongqing Thank you. I'll have to try it again. I tried to add maltose along with the white sugar but I didn't get the consistency I wanted.
