You should check out his next world tour. He's done a lot of new stuff since this one. He's on episode 543 I think and he plans on doing the tour at 550. Just a recommendation if you and your fanbase enjoy him. I've been watching him for over half a decade
K first thing, putting a person's photo above the name ethoslab is very misleading be a use he has never shown his face. Secondly, I don't think etho has ever interacted with minecrafters that you mentioned. Etho has mostly done stuff with VintageBeef, PauseUnpause, BDouble0100, and GenerickB. But his most notable companion is Docm77. Those two are pretty much best friends from what I understand.

He's like the first real redstone engineer youtouber, he's like the trunk of the minecraft redstone community. The people who were inspired by etho went on to inspire people like Mumbo Jumbo and ect.

Next up is likely the etho hopper clock, often his name isn’t included to shorten that, but you be surprised how often it isn’t. Third up is his nexus, which I call the generalization of “binary storage system” that varies among people.

It's so sad how very few people know about Etho. He's honestly the last bastion of a long gone era of CZcams. All the people who were making Minecraft Let's Plays in 2010-13 have either stopped making videos, moved on to other games/ other types of content, or have changed their video formats a lot. But not Etho. While he has changed a little, his channel has basically remained the same since 2010, yet still gets a consistent regular viewership of 200,000-400,000 views. All the while remaining anonymous and not needing to show his face. No need for a face cam to capture his goofy reactions to dumb shit (kinda like the guy is doing in this video, ironically), overshare his personal life on social media and shill for dumb sponsorships.
I've been consistently watching his videos since mid-to-late 2012 and I will probably be doing so until he finally decides to quit CZcams. That will be a sad day for sure.
Well said! I would like to add that his videos from that time are just as enjoyable today as they were then. The UHC are particularity fun to watch even though Nebris will always be the champ in my eyes for that.

Etho is a legend and deservedly so. He doesn't beg for likes and subs and remains a humble man. The guy doesn't even take money from people who want to donate. I can still enjoy videos he made years ago, not many content creators can pull that off.
He used to accept donations, but for every person who donated, he put their name on a sign under his original oak tree farm, and later on in a strip mine if I'm not wrong. But as soon as he could make enough money just from youtube he stopped accepting donations.

@@dburgd99 That is 100% right. I've watched every episode of his LP (and most episodes of every series he's ever made). He originally put names on the tree farm in the man cave (which has a slime track that goes around it). The tree farm is touching the blue flower farm on one side and the UFO cow fishing thing on the other. The strip mine was made once the tree farm filled up with names - at 12:29 he is actually facing the entrance to it, it is at the base of the hill in the background with a tree on the top (which glows at night, one of the first things he ever made in the world). The strip mine also contains a flickering light system that is powered by zombies wandering around, to give it an eerie feel.
Honestly, if I were etho, I'd be scared to take donations at this point. He'd probably pull $100k+ a month in youtube and donations. That kind of money can put a lot of stress on you. You start to question your content, if it's good enough, etc. And then you have all of your 'friends' and 'family' that want some of it...

Indeed. The things that come to mind first are BUD switches and the hopper clock - and now there's a dedicated redstone component, the observer, that detects block updates, in the game
Etho is literally one of the best CZcamsrs of all time in my opinion. He has only ever been a positive force in the community and brought so many smiles to so many faces. He deserves 10x the number of subscribers/views if not more

Etho is definitely the GOAT. He has invented alot more than the door and everyone uses his contraptions in redstone builds whether they know it or not. Another famous one is the etho hopper clock. Literally invented a way to tell time.
This is one of those closed communities where you go to almost habitually to get wholesome entertainment and never hear the channel get mentioned anywhere else even though it's huge.

It's so weird, I used to watch his videos daily when I was young, he was just apart of my daily life for years, and I truly never even considered just how insane the stuff he did was. It's so funny watching your reaction to it and it makes me appreciate him even more than I used to.

Com0Co0Uk T yes! I watched him years ago when he was still whispering and he barely edited. Stopped for a few years and then began watching him again about 3 years ago. The quality of his content just keeps getting better and better, the most recent hermitcraft episode is FANTASTIC. Probably his best video to date imo. He’s so genuinely enjoys the game and is so creative, it’s clear he stands out and why he has had a thriving channel for so long compared to the more basic and boring Minecrafters of the the same era, who either completely stopped uploading or totally changed their content because they weren’t passionate about it anymore. Ethos the best :)
If you watch his recent videos, he has gotten even better. Insane for a youtube who has been doing it as long as etho.

Many many years ago, I searched “Minecraft’s Let’s Play” on youtube, and Etho was the first one that came up. His first ever episode of minecraft, and I’ve been watching ever since. I’ve watched him grow and learn and slowly build up his world, so much so that I didn’t realize how cool it was. I mean, it’s obviously awesome, but seeing this guys reaction is priceless and makes me happy that more people are finding Etho. If anyone is wanting to get into Etho but doesn’t know where to start, start with his Mindcrack series. It’s a multiplayer server with pranks, buildings, and even a very funny trial. It has an incredible variety of hilarious people and it made my childhood great.

Apparently Etho inspired the young Mr Beast to start playing Minecraft and create his lets plays. Which ultimately leads to him as now. Really crazy.
Etho is an original minecraft youtuber, one of the very first at showing how to take the in game world to extreme technical lengths! He started off doing tutorials before his supporters asked for a lets play. Etho is also involved in a community called hermitcraft, where they have a survival server with a bunch of people! I think this crowd possibly formed with the first ever Ultra Hardcore (UHC) series, a battle royale in minecraft. A good suggestion in how to find out who other youtubers like is by checking who they recommend!
MindCrack created the UHC genre, specifically Guude Boulderfist and VintageBeef. HermitCraft have placed their own unique spins on it.

It's not an auto-sorter though, it's just a storage system with a selection menu. You still have to manually select what kind of book you have to sort it.
the world has actually improved a ton since this world tour was done. He is working on finishing as many projects as possible before doing another tour.

Etho is probably my favorite CZcamsr. This video was crazy was like two of my favorite worlds colliding. Also the technical Minecraft community. Those guys are absolutely insane. It’s like nasa engineers playing Minecraft. Scicraft server and the prototech server are both insane. Like, if there were pro Minecrafters, it’s these guys.
I forget that not everyone who plays Minecraft has watched Etho. I've been watching him for so long, I just associate his gameplay with Minecraft. I sometimes forget just how amazing the stuff he makes truly is.

It would be hard to understand for somebody that didn’t watch or play minecraft back in the day. But basically Etho was one of the first popular youtubers to make Minecraft videos. Because no body knows what he looks like and he has stayed a very humble man over the years, everyone still loves him. He’s an invincible.
14:00 literally *all of them* that *aren’t* Etho, that I’ve ever heard talk about it, say that *he’s* the one who inspired them to get into CZcams. He’s mythical in the Minecraft community, and just so approachable if you can get into an event he’s in.

I love seeing the etho community emerge from their random corner of the internet to comment on this video. Been watching Etho since 5th grade and I'm still watching him now in college. His content is just so wholesome and nostalgic for me now. His video quality (even after 10 years) is still improving, you should see his Hermitcraft stuff. Etho Rocks. Plain and simple.

@@axelruweler9316 I'm a long term docm fan but personally i guess he should watch the one with slicedlime or mumbo just because that might resonate a little better with the audience. Doc is pretty involved and knows a lot about the projects and techniques so the tours where they have someone that asks more questions is probably nicer.

Etho's a god-tier Minecrafter. He built a machine where you throw diamonds into fire to turn it blue. He placed BUD switch mines behind all the diamond ore in his cave for shits and giggles. He invented the fastest transportation method in the game up until Mojang patched it out. Hell, he built an alpha-era cactus farm in his current world _because he was bored._
