Customize Design for Product Attributes in WooCommerce | Change Dropdown Select in Products

How to customize design for product attribute drop downs on single product page in woocommerce? How to turn select fields in single product page into something more appealing and good looking like custom buttons that can be selected and deselected? In this woocommerce tutorial we are looking into that. I have few products that have custom attributes. These are variable products in woocommerce. WooCommerce has builtin capability to add custom attributes, turn these into product variations and set different price for different variations. But to apply different styles to these attributes on single product page in woocommerce, we need a different approach. It's not builtin in woocommerce.
Right now these are simple dropdowns. We can select product color, product size, product packaging from dropdown select fields. We can change their appearance and look and feel. Go to plugins and search for 'Variation Swatches for WooCommerce'. Install and activate this plugin.
Go to plugin settings, select circles or boxes for the style and choose width, height and font size. And that is it. If you refresh the product pages, you will see select fields have changed into boxes that can be selected for each product attribute.
