My Nan lived in HOOK ROAD Has changed beyond recognition from when I used to go there in the late 40's to the mid 60's
including the TOWER cinema..Both Markets... Father Christmas at Jones & Higgins The fun fair on the RYE ..The smell from the Epicure pickle factory in Queens Road...Bomb sites...Days of long ago

When I first started courting my wife she lived in Brixton and I lived in Lewisham and I would often walk the 4 and a half miles from my parents house to her flat along Holly Grove, across Belllenden Road and through Warwick Gardens.

I used to go to a club/rave venue called lazerdrome that used to be on peckham rye its flats now.
Was a dodgy place during them times 1994/95.
Its changed such alot now much better
