Smallish trim at doors and passages seems to be a long way from the royal palaces. Most of the pieces of furniture and objects d'art were reportedly gathered from them. I enjoyed the tour @ 15 years ago but wished to see the upper floors where i assumed the family could relax at one time.

I've been to this fabulous house in 1999. Une tresor!!! But in deference to the suffering of the Jewish family who died as a result of antisemitic violence and behavior perhaps Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desire might be inappropriate???
