I'm on my way home with my son (age 9). It's a 40 min drive. We are coming home from a thrifting trip. That's mine and my son's hobby. He loves thrifting just as much as we do. We stopped to eat and I put on your video to eat to. He said. "Oh my goodness gracious. Who is that? She has the most soothing voice! I loooove her accent." He has been so intrigued with your video and you are now his favorite thrift tuber. Hello from my son Matthew 😂❤
Oh gosh! This made my day! Hey Matthew my new Thrifting buddy! I hope y’all had a good thrifting trip 😁
@ThrilledThrifter it was beyond excellent! So many great things! He also found tons of stuff! 😁
Hi Julie! Dogs do suffer the aches and pains of old age, so on behalf of your dog, I say thank you.
Thank you 😊!
I think it's precious that you're going to give your doggie a nice little warm bed to sleep in there's nothing wrong with that 💜💜💜
Thank you 😊!
Oh Julie I think it is wonderful for you to put the heating pad in your little doggy bed. The warmth will really help her little joints and muscles feel better. Oh nice jacket!!!
Thank you 😊!
My nephews little chihuahua stays cold, but she will chew up stuff, but definitely will keep the heating pad in mind
My podiatrist sells crocs in his office.. I’ve been wearing mine for yrs,now.. I have bone spurs, and rarely have flare ups anymore.
I absolutely love your vidoes. My favorite part is how you use and decorate your finds.
My first time watching. I love repurposing things, it helps to know how to sew but I am not an artist by means. The blue and white down pillows are my favorite so far.
Julie that's a wonderful Mother's Day gift for your daughters!! It's nice for Mom's to get away and get something to eat and do shopping. Plus Julie you got to spend time with your daughters.
I would oil the drying rack. I would hang it in kitchen, hang kitchen towels, doilies, dried flowers, antique ladles, would look awesome, antique utensils, rolling pins. That's what I would use it for. In a bathroom, towels, shower back scrubber, hand mirror drape on corner a soft silky robe, dried flowers.
Great idea! Thank you 😊!
I think the drying rack would be wonderful displaying the items mentioned by viewer above. ☝️ Great find!!
Great idea try tightening the screws it might stay up for you!!
Can’t imagine that you worry about what others say. Your fur baby will be thrilled with a heating pad !
Julie,
Great video and great finds. I believe the bench is going to be so beautiful we you finished with it. You’ll have to show us the finished product. What a great Mother’s Day gift to give to your girls. So thoughtful and sweet. May the Lord bless you and your family. Have a bless Memorial Day.
My dog has a heated blanket that we put under her comforter at night. It's on low and automatic shut off. She has short hair, and she likes to sleep in a cold, drafty area of the house and shivers.
Julie not only did you do amazing haul; which I loved every piece! You gave your daughters a great Mothers Day gift of time spent together and time away. That was the sweetest gesture. You’re such a sweet person and I’m enjoying your channel as relatively new sub! God bless you and your sweet family!!!! 🙏❤️
You can wash down and feather pillows in the washing machine. I worked for a down company for years and do it all the time. You do need to dry on low with some dryer balls or tennis balls to keep the feathers and down from clumping together. And yes, it will take a long time to dry on low. If worried about doing it at home, go to the laundromat and wash them in a machine without an agitator.
Oh this is good information! Thank you 😊
We always had a drying rack like that for hand washing.I think it's just missing a small peice from the top witch latches it in place and keeps it upright. Love you all so much❤
Hello Julie. The new black Crocks for your husband in his size are so nice. I laugh when you said "He has crock in blue and you can see him 2 miles away and I hope he gets rid of them 🤣🤣. Nice Jean Jacket. I am glad your daughters were able to find lots of clothes at the Goodwill bins. Nice bleacher chair in my favorite color Red. Our Mazda is in Red, the Air fryer and new pot is in red. too. Blessings. 💖💕💖
I have a drying rack like yours that was my mother’s. Mine has an arm with a notch cut out to lock it and keep it standing. Great video.
Thank you 😊!
What a lovely mothers day gift! How fun for you all. Happy summer to all.
Thank you! 😊
Yes, I was just thinking the same thing, such a sweet gift for all to enjoy. It's great when you have similar interests and can have fun together.
On your drying rack put a stop block on top so it can't fold up great fine!! Glad you had a good trip with the girls!
What is a stop block ? I’m interested 😁
It is missing its top wooden handle hook to stop it from spreading apart - I just gave mine away to a Thrift Store a month ago…
That's a great idea for your dog. She feels acks and pains being older just like we do. I love hearing that others feel for there pets. Love your hall today, especially the pillow s.
LOVE my stadium seats! Good find!
I love the old drying rack. 😊
My cat is 15 and sleeps on a heating pad every day. Good for you for getting one for your fur baby. Glad you and your girls had a good day. Thanks to the Daddies.
Thank you! 😊
The heating pad was my favorite for your doggie 🫶🏼 so sweet to think of all your family even our four legged family members..I find some of the best things thrifting for home my family members and my doggies 🥰
Everyone should make their animals comfy! We use them in each of our outside critters beds! We want them warm! Love your channel and family!
I love your thrifting videos. Your home is so cozy ❤
It’s the vision whenever you see something and you can do something with. It’s like a vision that you have you have the vision on that little future vanity stool 👍🏽👍🏽
You are so lucky to have the bin outlets. We don’t have any . You got great things ! What a wonderful momma/daughters getaway! And such understanding husbands!!
The doggie pad will be much appreciated. Love the sage crochet blanket . Everything is adorable. . Love your longer videos!!
Tip: I wash my down feather jackets s and put them in dryer w tennis balls which fluff the feathers as they dry.
You may be also able to wash your feather pillows this way .
Can’t wait to see the little stool redone.. yes, that is an old wood drying rack. Nice finds!
Have a great holiday weekend !
Off now to watch Kelsey’s video !!
❤xx
Thank you 😊!
You can wash down and feather pillows in the washing machine and also in then dry them together with a few tennis balls.
Also, real down doesn't fly around as much or at all as feathers do. Down is also a lot softer. But more expensive.
Julie, that is definitely a folding drying , I was raised with people in my family or friends growing up using those awesome racks. I used to just tighten scews or cut the rivets out and add some with a thin washer in between, i love them.if you can tighten it you could hang it some how off the wall and even use it for quilts or if you have a pool polyurethane it and then you can have the kids had the towels after use until dry then , fold it until the next time. I absolutely love the heavy throw you got.
With your dog its a great idea but maybe slip it in a towel or into the dog bed. My daughter accidentally, woke up burned from hers
You are sooo sweet to gift this trip! What a unique idea!!
That pillow is Gorgeous! The deep Olive 🫒 green color one. Just Gorgeous. Our pets are like family, I think its Wonderful how you want her to be comfortable in her old age. 😊 Your Girl was!! Lol so Honest, Genuine. 😊
Great idea for your girls for mothers day! The laundry rack is great for hangingin old dollies to display also! Great for decor! Wonderful gift and special memories!❤
Yes Julie, my little dog got old and cold,
and their little bones and muscles do ache, I’m sure your dog is thanking you ❤️🐾
Bless you for the heating pad for your baby. She will love it awwww. Great haul ❤❤❤
I think the term you’re looking for is you want a more mature ombiance look in your home. I get it.
Yes, Thank you 😊!
I enjoy going to the bins. My friend and I call it the Dive. Thank you for taking us. That was sweet of you to take the girls.
My friend works at a hospital in housekeeping, they use alcohol fir bed bugs, she said they won’t cross an alcohol border! Love your finds you are so good at using them tastefully
Thank you 😊!
Thats true.. but you have to use the 91%.
Homeowners can use diatomaceous earth.. if they walk across it they actually die.
Hi Julie..what a sweet mom. I am sure your girls enjoyed their trip so much. I love that they take their love of thrifting after you. You will enjoy that chair. Bleachers are so hard to sit on for long. I love that the afghan looking throw is so big and sure looks handmade. The pillows are so pretty. I like the pumpkin..different and not loud colored like traditional. I know a utuber that swears by Jessica Simpson denim jackets. I have four, but never wore three of them, because they are so stiff. My sis and I were at Belks in my hometown and I got a sixty four dollar denim jacket with stretch and it rang up sixteen dollars. I wear it with my maxi dresses, my skirts, my jeans…that sixteen dollars has gone a long way. I wish we had bins. I think it would be fun. I love that you are friends with Danielle. She has that neat Victorian style and she just fits the bill with her looks too. No shame in putting a heating pad for your older dog. They get arthritis like us. I had a customer who had three cats that loved them. My heating pad must be getting old because low feels more like hot. Oh by the way, have you changed make up. I just think your skin is glowing. I love the eye look to. I wondered if you use mineral make up. My neighbor does and her skin looks so pretty too. Thanks Julie. It is nice your son in laws appreciate their wives . Take care ❤❤❤❤
Julie at the age of your darling puppy you should be giving her anything she wants . Nothing wrong with her having a warm bed. Bless her
I just finished watching Kelsey’s channel. Yall found great items. So sweet of you to do that for your daughters and yes so nice of your son in laws to be so understanding
Me too just watched Kelsey’s before .
Such a fun trip that would be .
I think the words that you were looking for when it comes to Christmas decorations is " Toned down." A more natural, homey comfortable feeling instead of a commercial Christmas with all the bright colorful character themed decorations
I was thinking that too….traditional decor!
Yes, that’s a drying rack. I actually used one in the 1970’s. In early marriage it was very useful.
I think the term is less commercialized and more warm and fuzzy, cozy comfy, hot chocolate sipping, loving Jesus kinda Christmas!
❤❤❤😊❤❤
I totally agree!
Oh Julie I love the crocheted green throw. It is gorgeous. So the pillows? Yes please…lovely. The word you may be looking for is ‘Discerning.’ So I believe you may be trying to say, you now have a more Discerning Decor Expression towards Christmas.
My goodness, you have such an innovative approach to EVERYTHING 🎉 Love from Australia.❤
Absolutely Precious! I love it...WAY TO GO JULIE...ENJOY your weekend. STTB
Love the green velvet pillow Julie. It will be beautiful during the holidays. A nod to the holidays through color and texture.
I too had a heating pad for our little dachshund. He loved it.
Awesome goodwill finds. The pillows were definitely a great find and they look really nice in your home…..🍃💗🍃
You are such a sweet mom what a great gift for your girls really enjoyed seeing all your finds and I think the heating blanket will be perfect for your little dog❤❤🐕
Thank you!
That was fun!! Great finds😀
Thank you 😊!
Yes that is a drying rack my Grandma had one ☺️
Thank you 😊!
Love your ideas, and thinking outside of the box ❤ and your home is always nice and cozy🥀
Love this video.
You are such a kind, lovely woman to think of your furbaby.
May god bless your family, dog and especially you.
I love following you on utube.
Cindy from conn.
Julie, if you want to use it as a towel rack for grandkids in summer, replace the center screws with bolts and wing nuts, which you can loosen to fold it up, or tighten to keep it standing. Love your other items, I too am always looking for feather cushions. Your stool would look good with some ticking (stripes).
Hi Julie and famaly,
thank you for sharing your trips with us XXX
I m realy shoock sometimes what people trow away
Sounds like grate mother daugthers time
with pillows just wash the cuvers!
I desinfct in the sun or in the (separate) freezer too
I love the pops of blue everywhere Julie!
The pillows are very French coutry chique
I love more subtle decor too not so wright in your face Hollyday decor too
Older dogs get colder easely. I so understand it
She s on retierment ;) just relaxing
I give my older dogs, hydrotherapy and massages. Their joints are not as flexible anymore
No bins here, love the rack
Thank you for sharing X
Love all your videos, so informative and inspiring. Love you use the stuff and not a reseller. Yes, a older dog does get stiff joints, that little heating pad will give him some confort. Im sure he'll love it. Great idea. Love the little pumpkin 🎃. I just love how you stile your items. Take care ❤ Deana
Those are chimes, trees for all seasons, not just Christmas, fall and Winter! I love them. I would love them so much!
Oh ok! Thank you 😊!
Julie. I wash my Queen size feather duvet in my big washing machine . I’m comes out looking really bedraggled. BUT I hang it out in the sun and wind and it is perfect ! So pleased !
You have some good ideas for the drying rack!! A bunch of dried flowers hanging by lace or twine…cloth napkins with embroidery…a table runner weaved in & out. Or you could do a kitchen them & hang old spoons or spatulas from it…add an hold hand crank beater or a sifter…just some thoughts!!🥰
Hi Julie, what a wonderful mother's day trip. My son (28) and l did something similar we go garage saleing together for mother's day. I just love the idea of the heating pad in your dog's bed. I only wish l had thought to do that for our dog before she passed. Also, l love the folding clothes rack in your kitchen on the side of your cabinet. I would hang vintage kitchen towels or like you said herbs. 😊
The trouble with down feather pillows is the pin point on the feather pokes through the cover not comfortable to lay on.
So true!
Good morning Julie,
I enjoy watching every episode that you share with us. I LOVE to thrift & find great items for great prices, just like you. ❤👍 I love the patina on the wooden clothes rack! Gorgeous! If I were you, I would see if you can tighten the screws to see if that helps to stiffen the joints & hold its shape. If that doesn't work, maybe try a little wood glue? Or maybe get your hubs to replace the bolts with larger ones, that may help. If you end up closing it to hang on the wall, I saw the piece as a shelf. So I would put a piece of wood on the bottom section and find some cute items to place on it. (Not sure which room you would add I to)
And I loved the old long flowerpot bench that you showed and the stool frame! We think alike my friend! 😂 If only I lived in Texas! 😂🤣🤣 If you're ever in NC, let me know, we'd have a BLAST! 💯🎯👍
GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY 🥰🙏 & Happy Memorial weekend!
Hi Julie, love your videos❤ I think folded tablecloths would be lovely hanging on the rack.
You got some fantastic items out of the bins. I loved all of it, and I have never been afraid to bring something home while thrifting. Love the bins. Our books are by the pound, and if it's a big or heavy item, they give you a price of $5 or $10.
You might also go online and look up what you can give your dog naturally to help with the joints.
Great idea Julie, that will help her feel good. We have two little dogs. One is a chu, girl, and dashund boy.
My cat Baby lays on my heating pad…with me! So glad you all had a good time and great finds❤
Thank you 😊!
That drying rack.... cut into 2 pieces and you'd have 2 'peg' racks!😍
the christmas trees are a type of wind chime. They're not supposed to stand up. Also a bin hint - pick up some cheap outdoor gardening gloves and use those when you dig.
So neat to go on a thrifting trip with the 3 of you. Thrifting gets in your blood. The items you got were so good. I sleep on feather pillows, since I have around. Love em. Love your bench you got. They saved you the trouble of pulling off the old fabric. You found some good stuff. Wish we had Goodwill bins here.
Thank you 😊!
I have two miniature dachshunds and they love my heated throw blanket. The youngest (Sherman, he's 5) used it daily in the winter (our winters are can be quite cold in Toronto). I'm going to keep an eye out for a heating pad for their beds.
Hi Julie. Loved all your finds. Nice how you got the heating pad for your little fur baby. Xxxx
Julie dogs are just like humans. They get sore, 19:35 ❤❤❤❤ Arthritis. They get toothaches. They get headaches. They won't love and they have a heart. They also have a soul and God made them before man. So you're not silly. I would do the same thing and I do have a little Dotson. But she's only 4 and she is a handful. But God bless you for doing what you're doing Amen.
Thank you!
I agree with you about clothes at the bins. I don't have the patience
What a lovely idea to keep your precious dog warm . That’s such a lovely way to spend Mother’s Day with your girls and thrifting ! Have a wonderful weekend Julie ❤
No problem with caring for aging pet. I think it's loving. There are good deals at the bins, just have to dig. With fabrics, I put them in dryer on high, then in washer with sanitizer plus soap powder.
Wood, foam and then batting for the vanity bench. It will be great !
Hello Julie 🌻 great finds in bins. I have the same drying rack from my grandma probably from 1970's if you change screws on it it's going to be as good as new. I'm using mine in living room to put throw blankets on.
I love the channel and your family. I follow you and your daughters. I wash all my down pillows on gentle in hot water and dry in sun, never had a problem ❤
Thank you 😊! Oh that’s good. I’ve always been scared I wouldn’t get them all dry.
I had one of those drying racks. There was a crossboard that kept it from folding. You could get a dowel & screw hooks in the ends & they would hook on & keep in upright. I used it for all clothesvwhen I didnt have a dryer. You got some good stuff.
I used drying racks like that all the time in the 80s. I bet you could replace the screw to make it operational again. I hung clothes on mine for years. My mom bought me a cheap metal one that rusted. I wish I could find a good wood one again.
I put mine standing folded up and I hang vintage embroidered little napkins and such.
I’m glad yall got to go! ❤
The drying rack is vintage not antique. I’m 72 and have used several in my life and it is suppose to hang clothes on it to dry. I did undergarments on one and sweaters on the other. Some things aren’t good for the dryer.
Figure out a clamp and put all your blankets you keep buying on it😀
Thank you 😊!
I do heating pads for my cats but only in my presence. They love it. I pile blankets on top in case they decide to knead it. Never had an issue either
Good morning Julie. I loved your video today and your new finds are pretty cool. I especially like the wooden clothes rack. I think it's missing a latch type hook that will keep it up. I had one a long time ago and there was a latch hook on the top to keep it from sliding down. Thanks for the new video.
I get all my pillows w/down at a local thrift shop- I’ve changed over to all down too👍 your pillows are European size- really big👍 what a deal on that red stadium chair😯😯
I’m with you, about Christmas.. I’m going with more adult decor.. giving most of my whimsical and childlike pieces to my kids, for the grands..
Julie, I love your videos. There are no bins where I live but from watching other thrifters I've learned. If a bag is sealed it mesns no one checked it and it might have great items.
Hi Julie! Do be careful with the used books. They can also carry bugs. Speaking from experience. Have fun thrifting!! Delores Hulse
I can't believe it. I have a dachshund also and he is 16 and eight month old. I love my baby.
That vintage drying rack reminds me of the one my Maw Maw used to have. She would set it over her floor furnace in the winter (she lived in an old shotgun house in New Orleans) and dry her slips and intimates, lol! Such good memories. 😊 But it would be great for drying swim suits. And I can vouch for that Walgreens heating pad. I had one that I put out in winter for an outside cat who adopted me. I set it up on a chair with bedding and a canvas cover, and it kept him toasty even in almost freezing temps! Take care! ❤
Awe how sweet.!
Loved everything
Great finds!!!
You all had some fun at the thrift bins! Great finds! ❤️
Thank you! You are amazing!!!!!
Great haul!
Hi Julie! Ooh, a Girls trip to the Bins! I have 2 daughters who also have young kids;
so I know “Mamas only” outings are pretty rare! 🤗 We all live about 30 minutes from each other and about that to the Bins😘 Such fun! You sure can’t beat the price for good kids clothes, toys, games, art supplies, or books. Our Bins lays books flat and charges by inches high, 69c I think. ( up from 16c originally!!) Also good prices for home decor items. Our electronics are $1.69 Heavier or furniture items priced separate and very reasonably.
I like finding pillows too ( and if I don’t like the pillow itself, you can just take the cover)😊
I enjoyed seeing what you picked up, and will scoot on over to see if your daughters have new videos up to see what they scored!🌼💜
I agree about the clothes, hard work to dig, and I probably don’t need it!🫢 Hope your puppy loves the warm blanket💕it will surely feel good on those achy joints!
Have a great weekend. Hope the weather is good where you live.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you so much!😊
You can find some nice things. When at the Bin wear gloves. Great finds
Great finds!! 🎉
new subbie here, Love seeing your picks. That bench without the seat part is precious. I am addicted to the bins. I have found so much good stuff there. A king size Laura Ashley quilt, a watercolor signed by the artist that goes on Ebay for over $100, and lots of little junque for home decor are just a few of my prized finds.
Love the challenges at the bins.
The folding wooden rack at one time had a wooden hook that was attached to one end and then would fold down when not in use..then when you needed to use it you would pull up the other end and hook it to the other side holding it up to be able to use it…you could make one easily enough with a small piece of wood with small hooks(decorative ones at hobby Lobby)at each end or just screw one end in (enough to make it flexible ) and a hook at the other end…
YOU COULD HANG IT ON THE WALL SIDEWAYS- PERM MOUNTED THEN EXPAND IT OUT FROM THE WALL- THEN HANG THINGS ON IT TO DRY. WHEN NOT DRYING SOMETHING THEN FOLD IT BACK TO THE WALL-DUAL PURPOSE--DECORATIVE OR FOR USE. HAVE A GREAT MEMORIAL DAY. DC
