    Philippines needs urgently a very strong mining law that dictates the tax volume for foreign companies such as Canadian and Chines who will come for exploration operations chasing these resources.
    You need to tax them heavily and make them liable for all environmental restoration and damages caused. This is very important and should be the prime task for DTI Alfredo E. Pascual and other stakeholders.

  • @NPRNTVChannel
    @NPRNTVChannel Před 9 měsíci +7

    Every Filipino should watch with keen interest how mining companies operates. No. 1 Environmental Protection. No. 2 Sabotage in operation. 3. Politicians manipulation. And thanks to the emergence of modern surveillance technology it will be a 100 times more difficult to break the mining laws of the country. Mabuhay and God bless the Philippines. 72 kinds of minerals can be found in the Philippines and some others of it is not yet discover. Thats why the country needs a strong and brainy leader with the guidance of God that all this minerals must be put into a strict law, before puting into mining that only Filipinos can benifit of this blessings.

While it is commendable to be acknowledged for the richness of our mineral resources, it is crucial to extend empathy and concern to the areas impacted by mining activities. While I support the government's efforts to improve the well-being of Filipinos, it is essential to recognize the potential for environmental tragedy if we fail to prioritize the protection of our precious Mother Nature."

Gold reserves in 196 central banks all over the world.The World Bank according to documents I have seen, read: The World Bank Group Infinite Bank Account - USA/ Comittee of 300 and IMF account. Sabah belongs to the Philippines, not Malaysia.

    Unfortunately, exploiting most of these mineral resources means extensive damage to the environment. What beautiful natural features we have could one day be replaced by open pit mines, vast flora, , denudation, disasters to our waterways and the extinction of rare and endangered species. Somehow we have to find a way to significantly reduce the potential damage that wanton mining activities will bring.
