I find it flattering that most people expect from my country something ethnic. It shows that they really appreciate our culture and language. In my point of view, sending ethnic songs is totally better but there is always the place to experiment with music styles and languages , given that it is something original. I can see why many think that an english ballad could be sent by Uk ,Ireland ,Scandinavian or Baltic countries for example and it doesn't identify as Greek and i totally agree. On the other side , i like the idea that my country likes a lot to experiment and break stereotypes,send different styles and brave performances. I hope that in the future, as long as there is not a national competition for the selection , ERT will find a balance of ethnic and foreign-style songs.

Unfortunately, in Greece the public has been banned from voting for some years. The well-known Ert government committee decides every year. There is an unimaginably democratic regime in Greece even in Eurovision. This regime is called dictatorship (we decide and we order)! Anyway, the Greeks would never vote for this disgust!
