- Today I tested copper from my stack, using a Sigma machine. Did I find any fakes??

That's wild they're not copper! Copper seems so cheap relatively! I need to get a Sigma, I've held off for way too long D:
I have the Sigma Pro with external bridge for large bars. If I had it to do over, I would get the Sigma Pro-Mini. Its cheaper, and does more. Just not the big bars
I would most likely keep the copper bars in the sealed box aswell. Fake copper? WHO would've thought someone would go that far. You will have more people checking their copper rounds and bars now 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Would love an update once you find out what the mystery metal is!!
Try a magnet on the dodgy copper rounds.
I had to dig out my Sigma Pro because I didnt even realize I could test copper with it!🤣
Rhodium, platinum, palladium, and more.
Might be a bit of zinc in that. Zinc is about 1/3 the price of copper and it's specific gravity is not very different than copper. Copper-zinc alloys are also very common in the metals trade.
wow! I am really amazed! I have the same copper rounds from the same batch so I will run them on my Sigma as well. I am traveling right now and gave my Sigma with me, but all the copper is at home. I will be back in a week or so.
Stunned I am! Hmmm is it May Fools Day?
I’m really interested to see how the rest of the batch perform on your sigma mate
Aluminum, bismuth? Weigh them then take them to the LCS and put them in an XRF machine!
That’s crazy that you found a couple fakes! Where did you get them from? Would be so cool to get an update if you find out! 🤙🏼 great video mate!
Fake copper ..... Damn 😂
I wouldn't put it past a place like Ali Express to sell fake Zombucks since they are collectible and have dates. Much less likely for generic copper rounds
If u can smash a 100g geiger capsule surely you can open up a cardboard box of copper haha bloody hell 🤣 😂
Congrats CoiNoob ⚓️🧲👍
The Geiger will test thru the capsule!
That’s crazy fake copper ⚓️🧲👍
Not tried that whiskey, but Japanese distilleries put out some great stuff ( personally, I tend to stick to Jack Daniel’s, 🥃).
Specific gravity test is a good start🙆♂️. Thanks for sharing and congrats to the winner🥇
Could be copper plated zinc maybe? Both are non-magnetic
I hear you on the Credit card debt.. Definitely is a drag...I think the last thing I bought was 3 silver rounds just before my heart surgery on the 6th.. Like you my friend, trying to get that credit card debt payed off..
Great video mate. We need to fill that giveaway chest! So I take it the questionable Zombucks are copper plated? I say this just because of the colour. Do you know where you bought them from? I don't own any copper rounds so my knowledge is really minimal.
I agree Sy, I’m guessing they will come back as copper plated. Dan is going to test them for me so we will have an update very soon!
Definitley use a magnet mate. Copper isn't magnetic. Also use H's ping tester to compare against the "real ones"
I can’t find the ping tester anywhere! No magnetic though, very strange 🤔
37:06 I now want an update on the so-called fake copper!!😠
Sending them away tomorrow for more tests mate, very interested to see what's inside!
Hello mate great video this as it raises important aspect of all our stacking journeys, crazy it's on a copper piece init mate you'd think it not worth bother faking those but who knows these days haha. Have to give us an update when you find out more 👍 have a good one mate 🤝🍻
Awesome video 365 that whisky look nice hope ur well bro 😊
I think they are copper. Try the ping test. The Sigma machine is notorious for getting it wrong with certain coins, like reverse proof gold Libertads for instance. Recalibrating your machine may make a difference. But, the Zombucks are indeed copper.
Hello Sal, thanks for watching mate. I just uploaded a short of me weighing them, they both actually weigh 1g more than all the others, so very strange!
I wish I could get back to my home base and test the same coins. Ultimately I think the answer is somebody did make copper plated zombucks as shown by the UK dealer who lists them as such and sells them for as much if not more than the copper ones!
I too appreciate Sal's interest here and I think the most interesting question is what the copper plated ones are made of. The XRF test at Cardiff Gold is going to be pretty definitive unless the copper plating is too thick for the xray (then it will be cutting time!).
I have to say, you're absolutely ruining whisky with that ice you put it.
I've tried it straight without ice and with ice alternatives and nothing beats the taste of whisky with ice 🧊
UK 1p and 2p coins from 1992 onwards are made of copper-plated steel, so they cost less than the face value to produce, so possibly that is what you have there as well. We still commonly call penny coins "coppers" for historical reasons. So in a way our coins are also fake copper 😁
Awesome video my friend.. have a great weekend and God Bless You and your family
I'm willing to bet they are still copper and maybe they are surface contaminated or some other reason there's simply no good financial incentives to fake copper bullion.
Let us know when you find out what metal those two are.
Again, another good video.
I'm glad you didn't open the box ,I wouldn't of..
I have the same machine and I know what it can and can't do and I actually discovered that a coin I bought and thought was silver turned out o be 58% gold and 42% silver or 14 carat! Nice surprise!
23:35 mmmm thats odd all the ones before were ok? get the saw out cut it up mate have a look inside it!
I was testing some copper rounds I have and wouldn't you know it, someone snuck in some gold and put a copper plate over it. I thought I had copper when I really have gold. What's this world coming too 😳😏
Dude R U 4 real?
@@xvideodventurer4826 sarcasm
Aluminium coated in copper ? Strange.
Why the heck would you fake copper rounds?
365 - your the best!
The machine reads the thickness of the coins which is brilliant and they were slightly different in thickness but not much at all 2.62mm- 2.67mm were the real ones but the fakes were thicker, 2.74mm + very strange one of them was 2.82mm but maybe the design being prouder is causing that! Love that machine dude I've got the standard one with the 3 wands which is perfect for me. I've got one for sale as well brand new
Gobstacked! Ok so for further testing:
magnet & slide
weight
Specific gravity
The diameter and thickness look good (the same as the good ones) so weight must be different.
You could find someone with an XRF scanner and it will tell you the actual metal content of everything in the top layer of the coin (actual percentages)
You ehould slso try them on the silver and gold settings on the sigma jtst for grins. People gave reported (complained) that Sigmas will sometimes report copper as gold or silver, so i guess the opposite is possible??
I’m sending them away tomorrow to be XRF tested. Dan from Cardiff Gold has kindly agreed to test them for me mate
Probably not fake rounds just perhaps not actually .999 pure try testing again with a lower purity if possible. May be that the quality control is not on point or maybe they are making the rounds from scrap copper wire lol
Oh the lucky buggers won one of the Hidden GPS Rounds..And a poker chip..Well even though I'm Extremely Jealous, I Congratulate the Winner !!
You won't be selling any of your metals 😂 it's all going to the kids surely?
🙏
Plumber: I have to pay VAT on copper tube purchases and I am taxed again, when I weigh it in as scrap. Payments have to be made by either cheques or bank transfer. So, there is an audit trail. Not the same with other metals. What concerns me is that NatWest know that I have 18 oz of Gold. TYVM LC of Blackpool, yet the bank is not asking awkward q's? That concerns me. Late. Had beer. As per.
Scottish distilleries are being invested in by Japanese ppl. Japanese folk luv Scotch. A Scotsman pays more for a bottle, than a Japanese person. Curious??? I'll stick with my home brew.
I wonder if this will get thru?
just fake period. the color tells you that and weight. why you waste a penny on them is my question. you must be new
Yes I'm new just started stacking last week. Hoping they are gold with copper plating, could that be possible?
I best check my zombucks!
💯
I am, and always will, stand behind any deal I am part of mate. Now it is a bit of fun but once it is all worked out I am going to have to keep all the different types of those two zombucks (real copper, copper plated, cut up & drilled, 😅)
It’s all good fun I’m just happy that Iv met some amazing people big love 🧲⚓️😊
WHAT? OMG that's amazing, thankyou 365 that's so cool. Really appreciate ya buddy. Can't wait to get my prize and do a tiktok! Excellent, also wouldn't mind borrowing that machine lol. Cheers buddy
