Thanks for showing. Love the slide up and down and I learnt your bassline. Pretty nice. For 5 or 4 string, I think 4-string is good enough quality and price wise for serving purpose. However if you want to go pro, then go with 5-string.
i believe the concept is to "not fight with other instruments." of course, if the complicated line fits or doesn't "fight" with other instruments, then it would be nice too :)

Great lesson, it's pretty rare to see a female bassist. I would like to add that I think it is ok to play a more complicated bassline, but it should have to fit nicely with the song and not interrupting others. I hope to see more bass lessons from sop! BTW: What is the bass you're using?
