Thanks DX, It's much appreciated! It goes straight in the gas tank to help us make more videos.
Love Harlan. Not from KY but in love with Appalachia! Thanks for showing me more of this beautiful state. Live in Bourbon Country.
I'm in California, but my mom's family is from Kentucky, and we would visit Harlan every other summer growing up. Thank you for these videos this really takes me back.
Good memories of my Aunt and Uncle spending summers in Harlan with them. I always loved Harlan and will always love it
As I have said before, I spent the first 11 years of my life in Harlan Co. And I especially enjoy your drives through Harlan. I remember the Coal Monument well. Back then the way to Harlan was mostly by that road past the Jones Motel. No bypass. In this video, you passed by the house in Harlan where I was born, the school where I went to first grade, and the Baptist church where we went, among other things. Thanks.
LOVE this!! It's been about 6 yrs since I was there last. My family had the big white rooming house in Baxter. It was across from the tracks. The white 2 story next to it is still standing & just up from the RC Cola plant. The family home, my aunt and cousins lived in it all of my life, till the '77 flood. They were rescued by boat from the 2nd story windows.
My grandmother owned the Baxter Grocery Store. She, my mom, aunts & uncles lived in the back of the store. There is, or was, a hair salon & gym on the site sevrral years ago. My aunt & family's house flooded in Fresh Meadows at least 3 times.
I can't begin to express what watching this videos means to me. Much of my family is in Rest Haven Cemetery. Howards, Taylors and Bennetts. They are all close together. We moved to Gallatin, TN when I was 3 but I spent at least a month each summer & as soon as I could drive, I was there as many weekends as allowed. My cousin is back working in the sheriff's office. Again, THANK YOU!!! I am 3 hours into your videos!! Sorry for such a long post!
My father grew up in Harlan. He was a Deputy sheriff when he passed in 1992. He grew up in Wallins Creek and he also worked for the loyal police dept. I love visiting the cemetery in Evarts and driving around the town with my wife. His name was David Moore Sr. Thanks for sharing these videos. I feel close to my dad when I watch
My uncle was the Magistrate of Harlan County in the 1960s/70s and lived in Wallins Creek. Also had family in Baxter and Bledsoe up by the Pine Mountain Settlement School. Wallins Creek. Home of the Purple Devils. They drink Chappell's milk.
I'm sure they new each other. Dad graduated from Wallins Creek HS in 57
I remember back in the early 70s we Would stay at that Hotel you showed on our way to Grandma's in Stonega. We would eat at the Bus Station they had a great buffet
Hey Mr and Mrs coyote hope you have a blessed safe day!
i'm from the Bluegrass region, Clark county to be specific, born n raised. never been to Harlan myself, but gosh i just love Appalachia SO much, and Kentucky in particular. its a magical place here...shame how the decline in coal is really picking up, i worry that some of these places are going to fully disappear. but it's got such a unique mix of history and stuff that makes it a really fantastic place to live. i'm in Estill county now, where you can find agates :) this place is a gem. i can't express in words how much i love this place though. i realize more and more as i get older, i need these mountains and forests, it does my soul good! its just special here
I haven't been in Harlan since 1978 i worked during the day after the flooding i did work in Pineville and RJ and cranks all tole 18 month's i stade in the old harlan hotel now that was a trip back in time !!!!!
My aunt and uncle lost their house in Wallins Creek in that flood.
Hey Mr and Mrs coyote hope you have a good weekend! Like all your videos!

It's a great time of year. Thanks Mitch!
Fantastic video Coyotes! I have always loved rainy days. Mrs Coyote did a great job of driving! As always you do an outstanding job of promoting the area. Always makes my day when I see you all post another video!!
I use to go to the skating rink,we might have been there at the same time ,Terry
You upload a lot more videos recently, great 👍💯
Great video! I'd love to see you drive up Gabes Branch at Ages and Jones Creek at Verda.
Thanks! Here is a link to a video we did on Jones Creek and the hamburgers at the Verda grill czcams.com/video/TDLFZ0Zr_5E/video.html
The coal marker is Harlan’s first round about. I
Can you remember when you had to go around it?
Enjoyed the ride along tour
Tractor Supply and Rural King have a lot of cool and useful stuff. A empty K-Mart parking lot with some snow or ice on it is the best place for doing donuts...
Don't encourage her Scott, there's a lot of empty parking lots around here lol thanks for watching!
My hometown born and raised!! You should have shown the old graves that was hid downtown by the old Ford building….since the building was torn down it is more visible!
Thanks for watching! Here is a link the video we done on that cemetery czcams.com/video/TZmaaq_SEwg/video.html
WHLN 1410 AM was the radio station in Harlan.
Come to Alaska when ya'll get an RV! Love the videos.
You should video the secret hidden graveyard that is just beyond where the city pool was, just past the old Ford Building I believe. It is a pretty neat area.
Here's a link to a video we did on the secret cemetery before the old Ford building was tore down czcams.com/video/TZmaaq_SEwg/video.html
You'll never leave Harlan alive..😮
Does anybody remember Mack's Family Center over by Baxter in Harlan County. It was a big grocery store and there was also a Western Auto store. This would be in the 1970s.
Am friendly County Virginia. I have family in St Charles, Dryden, Rose Hill, Hazard and Harlan I haven't been to this area in probably 30 years. I need to make a trip from Johnson City Tennessee to see some people
I've got the book Bloody Harlan. Next time you see Rhonda ask her who is in the book.
I'm homesick.
Maybe Harlan and Harlan County are the most famous town and county in the U.S. for their size due to the movies, music, and tv show about them!!!!
Nice 🎯💯🔥
