So that engine is from Titan I (XLR-87-3), which was as far as I know the only one using this combination of fuel/oxidiser. Later switched to aerozine-50 and nitric acid for shortened prelaunch operation with modified versions of this engine. But... the footage you used is clearly from the later versions as it shows hypergolic properties of the combination (that lab experiment with droplets).

To thing men rode an ICBM into orbit in the Gemini capsules is crazy. Mercury and Gemini were the coolest in my opinion!

Besides the Titan I complexes east of Auroura, and north of Deer Trail, there were Atlas E ICBM sites, one being south of Windsor, and Atlas sites at Nunn, and Briggs, CO. Then there are the active Minuteman III launch control facilities, and the launch sites scattered around northern Colorado in, and near the Pawnee National Grasslands, near Keota, Raymer, and east towards Sterling.
A fascinating part of the country.

The cool thing about the Titan is that, (and this may not qualify as cool but it is to me), carried the largest ICBM Nuclear Warhead we had in our inventory that was ever fielded. This was a 9-Megaton, W-53, Nuclear Warhead. This was a monster! It was designed to knockout Command and Control bunkers and/or Soviet Leadership bunkers. It could do it. Thank God we never had to launch one!

The next time you are in the Tucson area, you need to visit the Pima Air and Space Museum where there is a complete Titan Missile SIlo. It was used to film some of StarTrek: First Contact.

After watching videos on this channel for a while, I am wondering how they find so many people in Colorado who are not stoned. I didn't think there could be more than a dozen sober people in the state at any given time. My first time there, I thought it was the thin air.

I am not really into that presenter, he is a bit of a drama queen, change him and get a serious factual style presenter.

Agreed. I picked up on that during the first couple of minutes. I stuck with it to see if it would improve--it didn't. Seven minutes of my life that I'll never get back.
