    Are adjustable beds worth it? Depending on who you are, the answer may be different. As a chiropractor, I do not believe adjustable beds and mattresses are good for you. What do you think?
    An adjustable bed has a multi-hinged lying surface which can be set to a number of different positions. Some common adjustments are the upper body and raising the lower body independently of each other.

    Welp, that’s 47 seconds of my life I won’t get back. You mean like the beds used in HOSPITALS for decades? Sir, really? Are you offering a MEDICAL opinion against an adjustable bed base? Your position doesn’t make much sense when you say it out loud, now does it?

    OK, well I need an adjustable bed to lift my leg slightly because my tailbone was shattered during childbirth. That's right. I have no tailbone after 26 years. It's now starting to bother me even on my Tempur-pedic.. lying flat gives me excruciating pain in my nonexistent tailbone .I have to sleep with a pillow under my legs, which is so annoying because I have to stay in one spot so I stay on the pillow

    What about zero gravity option on the bed ?

    • @Alignwc
      @Alignwc  Před 5 měsíci

      That is a great question. The flat option is better and if flat hurts we need to figure out why.

      @@Alignwc I already told you my why which is a shattered nonexistent tailbone. Let's see you fix that.

    I had problems with sleep and GORD and went to my specialist for advice/help (orthopaedic surgeon) I ended up getting a Sealy Sleep maker Adjustable bed and since using it for over 2 years now it has improved my health. I don't have GORD problems, I sleep far better and don't need physio or chiro. Furthermore, I'd say it is saving me money on remedial treatments and paying back where my old flat bed didn't treat me well. If you take 1 person's advice, you are foolish. You should talk to your own GP or specialist physiotherapist about your sleeping condition first before buying an adjustable bed and avoid thinking people who say they are experts online, tell you what is good or bad for you. They live in a bubble. You have to get solid advice from real people face to face. Acting on this CZcams is not in your best interest, really, as this person is not your specialist or treating practioner.

      The only reason I want an adjustable bed frame is for my edema in legs. I would not raise my back only legs. I hate using the wedge pillow to raise my legs.

    Having an adjustable bed doesn't mean that you can't sleep on a flat position. You can read a book or watch tv on the elevated position and sleep on the flat position. Thats the whole point of this anyways.

    How do you control gerd, zenker's diverticulum, hiatal hernia? Sleeping on an 8" elevated flat bed is almost impossible.

      Go to your GP, get a referral to a Gastroenterologist and seek their advice on GORD. I live with it. You can't really be cured. You learn to live with it and manage it. Medication varies based on what your Gastro Dr, discovers. Hernia Diverticulitis are separate and require assessment by a Specialist Hernia Surgeon. The GORD is not part of the latter, but can definitely complicate your health and balance of energy, digestion, sleep etc... your bed is not a problem till your specialist tells you to change how you sleep and suggests a flex bed as a tool to control your GORD. Everything else is just as important.
