    The extra click is from the Canadian whales "A". Listen carefully and you can hear them humming Gordon Lightfoot.

    The English langue only has 26 letters in its alphabet. Whales have a presumed 30. As we know a lot can be said even with that limitation. Furthermore the clicks could (be/are) like morse code. What a wonderful Enigma all living creatures are.

      We have 26 letters in our alphabet, but far more "phemes" (sounds) that are a combination of those letters put together.
      (Linguistics are cool if you're interested>) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_phonology
      But english sux because spelling isn't phonetic 🙄. So I guess instead, when they talk about "the whale alphabet," it'd work better as an example if they compared it to like Japanese or maybe Spanish or something, (where it's one sound per letter/symbol). :/
      But tbh, I'm just excited for when we get to talk to whales!!!!!! 🤩🤩 I literally can't wait!!

      @@MythicGirl2210 Some Norwegian dialects have rather a lot of phonems. IIRC standard Norwegian (bokmål) already far exceeds the number of phonemes English has ;)
      And btw, if you add tone to this, well, Norwegian (and Swedish) only has two tones (deep and neutral, although some dialects in both languages have more) as opposed to other Germanic languages that don't have tones, whereas Mandarin has four and Cantonese and Vietnamese have six. I've heard some Vietnamese dialects from the north-west have up to 14 tones. That makes a wee difference ;)

    Maybe the extra click is negation. Like "food here not".

  • @eestaashottentotti2242

    The extra click must be "Um", "So", "Ah" or they just curse a lot.

    I watched this thinking they could tell us what the whales were saying. Or that the researchers had deciphered basic concepts like hunger or play or momma… and that maybe machine learning could be used to learn what other animals are saying…
    But all the researchers really said was that we now know the clicks are complex and not just repetitive.

    I am disappointed that nothing at all was said about the ethics of this. Just because we can doesn’t mean we should. What will be the impact on a whale pod? Who decides what will be communicated? Will we have safeguard to avoid harm? The data should NOT be released to the general public. That is a truly alarming thought.

    • @laurateaho-white9654
      @laurateaho-white9654 Před 2 měsíci +5

      @gayan722 There are multiple peer reviews papers that go over the ethics of this type of research. Whales are still vulnerable to human activities such as whaling, deep-sea fishing, drilling and mining. The sooner we can communicate with whales, the sooner we can give them legal personhood status. With climate change and a growing human population, things are getting urgent. If we can collaborate with whales, their chances of survival will increase, and the risk of exploitation from humans will decrease. A good example of this is humans working along other species of apes, we have figured out how to communicate with them using sign language and computers. They are now even being granted non-human personhood.

    Are you studying immature whale vocalizations? Do they instinctively use the protocol, or do they have to be taught? Is there an equivalent of "baby talk"? If there is a training pattern; what do they teach and in what order?

    I know! try a parrot Or mynah bird and see how they're brain is operating. You are going for the big fish instead of a smaller animal.Because you're right lobe like those big things. Pizzaz. Wisdom isnt all pizzaz. The emotion in it oh a whale.That is your right lobe, double and talk.Most right-handed, people only have sex in their Dublin.But when you get to a wise person, they speak with double-edged swords and can say 4 things at once in a meaning of a word.You've got to look at those things you when you're right-handed.You just miss that because you're subject to your right lowmbe behaving.In particular , ways that are zeitgeist in society.
    First, there is the new brain scans that show all use the brain the same way.So it's there waiting to be developed. That's
    Why? We have trouble understanding. What people said in the past because they could be saying something, but it would have meant 3 or 4 different things to them and we don't know what they meant unless you're wise. You can figure out from the construct of the sentence like in the Bible, they literally take these dragons to be appearing. Think back in the day in the 1800s, when the school marm had only the Bible to teach with, they literally thought those things were going to appear and they're not it's a parable. The whole thing is a parable, such as the dragon with like 10 heads tending hands of men. 7 is a satan thing. 1's a male 2's, a female 3's, a baby and 3 is power, and that satan is just people. There are no winged people flying around the animals are innocent. Myth is all a fabrication, however, cast with a ghost just feels that ability for a human to see things and children. Do it all the time. It's a healthy mind sees things it's called perugia or something, and they just look at a clown and see a Teddy bear, it's a healthy mind that does that. It's when you don't control it and use it to dream of girls and things like that. God put Adam to sleep. Adam fell asleep and dreamt of a girl and made eve. So a girl is a man's dream come true. Now tell me any boy between the age of 14 and 20 doesn't dream about girls. God knew you were going to dream about girls, because that's what you're supposed to do. They carry the baby they're made from the rib that doesn't mean they're like cattle to be traded and sold and bought. That means that they are given the breath of life. The rib is a breathing. Voluntary movement not a kneecap or finger, but the breath of life, she's given and she should be honored and respected for caring life.Honor the father and mother really means honor LO human else should die in the Bible.There's a female creator and a male creator just as every flower has a female in the male part.And it's been three point 75 billion years for you to hear that. Unless you've heard it before and some woman say oh I know-it-all the time.Those who haven't been indoctrinated into the church.Where you've only got one male God.There are male and females.Only the Christian religion dropped the mail because the Greeks lost capitalization the proper capitalization and they took out the word LO human.How should I input the word?God in it and king James, when he wrote the Bible.It was a woman hater.The bible needs to be corrected like

    uu MIT are thinking like alphabet which is right handed . The will nmbe both handed not talking in tmrote context. They dream. They're third eye in tge right lobe will see things as we must to sew things to suevive.i betcha. The third eye in tge right lobe is connected to emotion true emotion. Look at sim9ler animals to see if they are balance brained. If you take a right handed child and let it use the left hand it will reduce bioolariam. Yiu eight handed people ha. Don't miss the nmboat being stuck in righthandedness

  • @charlesokeefe8788
    @charlesokeefe8788 Před měsícem

    People use double and tandrey and Tandra no in Tandra.E!NTR e, d, e, yes, thank you in a sexual connotation.Because they're using the right lobe to produce sexual entered, cuz they think "its specisl" and it is. When you speak to a wise person, they might say 4 things at once or say something that has a double edgesword. That is hot and cold. That's why we say we lose it in translation. You have to be wise to figure out what they're saying right-handed. Peoples right lobes are just like a double intendre or bombastic and say bad words over and over again like f. U. CK. Believe me do not say the animals are just doing nothing making some noises. Get that out of your head and realize they are making something that means something you just are trying to figure out another animal's perceptions and I say that all animals, including humans and animals use the same basic algorithm and coding algorithm to speak. Yes, and coding, I'm sorry this audio spell checker is a squelch.
