Imalent MR90 50,000 Lumens Flashlight Kit Review! (Best of Both Worlds!)

- Here is the all new Imalent MR90 flashlight kit. Sporting the Cree XHP70.2 and Luminus SBT-90.2 LEDs for the best of both worlds of flood and throw. This can be used as a thrower or flood light on by themselves. The dual cooling fans help keep the light cool and give better runtimes. The build quality is very nice. Rugged as well. The included wall charger will quickly get you back up and adventuring in no time. The battery pack is powerful 16,000mAh consisting of four 21700 cells. The UI is simple to operate. Holster belt loop is too small to even fit thru a normal size belt through it to side carry this beast. This is not too big but is a little heavy which is to be expected. The flood beam this produces is wide and will show a large area all at once. This light has impressive runtimes for its size and light output.

Always so envious of your lights sir! Great review! Always appreciate the content.
Thanks for watching!
This is the type of light I have been looking for. Something that lights up a large area and not just a spot. I ordered one based on your review, and used your discount code.
Great and I hope you like it. Thanks for watching!
👍. The design and placement of the led’s turned out a excellent beam performance.
Indeed. Thanks for watching!
👍
Your still my favorite reviewer of flashlights very informative with a no nonsense approach in testing all types of flashlights. I hadn’t even heard of the brand but Thanks to you and the manufacturer choosing you to review and test this amazing light many more besides myself will also. Did I miss the recharge time? Thank You Sir, Cheers
BTW Let me guess this is about a $400.00 light LOL even to expensive for my SAR job by the the time I add 2 backup lights. Well maybe it’s a bit lower in price.
Actually it is around $329 before my discount. Thanks for the support and watching!
Awesome light, might be the ultimate God light!
Wish it had three buttons like the Niwalker M29.
Nice it having four 21700 cells.
Great review as usual CB👍
Thanks for watching!
big like my friend .good to see again .long time no see.great review and flashlight.

When I saw that the mr 90 Released two days ago I knew that you would make a video about it and It happened
Indeed. I had it for a while but had to wait until I got permission to release it. Thanks for watching!
That is freaking impressive 👍

Amazing flashlight 😱😱

Some great ASMR during the unboxing part of this video.

Another great video like always! What a amazing flashlight! I got to buy this flashlight! I think Imalent make the best flashlight!

@@CharlesBridgTec -Don’t this flashlight u can take the battery out? Is a build in battery u cannot take it out?
I clearly show the battery pack and light taken apart in my review.
@@CharlesBridgTec -I just order one for $300+ tax is that a good deal?

WOW!! A few of them is all you need for a baseball match 😅 (minus the vacuum cleaner aka cooling-fan of coz). Awesome to watch, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Ok.. thanks so much! It would be awesome if you made a video with the Imalent cooling chasis with the Q8 pro and any other flashlight it fits... Do a turbo runtime on each flashlight with it and without it so everyone can see how much it helps keep each flashlight cool.. just an idea, but I'm sure it would get a nice amount of people watching
Thanks for the suggestion and watching!
Thanks u made my day! Lol.. I ordered it... Did you play with the cooling chasis on the Q8 Plus? JW how much it helped it stay cool?
I have not tested the Q8 plus. Thanks for watching!
Very amazing sir...i already have Imalent ms12 mini next i will order Imalent mr90 😁😁😁.maybe in the future Imalent will make xhp70.3+lep👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Hi Ivan, thanks for choosing Imalent and we will take the suggestion seriously. ❤️
Thanks for the review! This looks like the perfect marriage between the Imalent RT90 and the MS08. I was hoping it would throw as well as the ThruNite TN42, but it looks like that reflector just isn't big enough for the SBT90.2 and it seems heavily underdriven....
Thanks for watching!
I just got finished watching your review on the SR16, i’ll keep it short and sweet. After watching production I just purchased the SR 16 my wife’s gonna kill me. It’s OK though. I’ll be happy. Having my flashlights I’ll take the beating lol. 😅
Thanks for watching!
Charles, I love watching your channel into the wilderness. Have a great day.🔦
@@jlappin6277 TY!
So, it will start the fans at mid1, 10.000 lm. I wonder why MS12 mini has to start them at 5000 lm... in the other hand, it is very interesting that it can sustain mid 2 at 18000 lm for, at least, 10 min (15200lm in really according to 1lumen site. ) It would be useful to measure the sustain and intensity of flood for all the modes... for instance, flow at mid 2 brings 14300 lm, for how many time? 20 m?
Thanks for your amazing review.
Thanks for watching!
You could definitely guard a prison or the border with this little beast. Great review.
Thanks for watching!
Looks like a bad boy with the SBT 90.2 LED wowie yippee ki-yay
Thanks for watching!
How would we compare this to the lr40r? I’m ready to pull the trigger on an amazing spotlight/floodlight combo!
The spot on this is stronger but flood performances are both impressive. Thanks for watching!
Just got this, definitely a beast! But I'd still have to say that the sofirn EC06 with battery upgrades is the better value. Don't get me wrong the MR90 is brighter and cooler bc of the beam light, but the sofirn is still insanely bright for a fraction of the price. When measuring the flood turbos on both lights you can tell the MR90 is brighter, but it's not a huge difference, not sure it's worth the extra almost $200 dollars.. I snagged the sofirn for around $70 bucks.. the MR90 cost around $290 and that was with a black Friday sale and an extra 10% off.. crazy difference.. all and all the MR90 is still awesome! Just breaks your bank alot more than sofirn lights
Thanks for watching!
Hi charles. How long do batteries last without use? I have imalent ms18 that has been on the shelf for 3 years now. I don't know if the batteries last in good condition for ten years or if they expire in a few years. I'm worried about the batteries being damaged
3 to 5 years is average cycle life. You will need to charge them at least every six months regardless. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec yes. Thank you
Looking for a bright emergency light for a fourteen days of CDT trail by mountain bike. Yip. Your review of the MR90, has me sold. No, I'm not concerned about the weight.
Great! Thanks for watching!
Are the batteries on this light and the MS12 replaceable if they fail to hold a charge?
You can purchase the MS12 battery pack from Imalent which you can use my discount to save as well. Thanks for watching!
It looks very nice and compacted and unique head light. If gets too hot don’t u think MS12 be better? I’m debating which one to go with.
Can u give me advice between this one and MS12?
MS12 does handle heat better but I like the option that you can choose which you want to throw, flood or both. High and medium on the MR90 are a lot of light. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec thank u so much💯
YW!
The cooling fans seem a tad loud, but I guess it's necessary for that much light.
Thanks for watching!
hello, when will a new imalent come out that will replace ms18 in your opinion?
I cannot say. Thanks for watching!
Charles I just picked up the Acebeam X 75 ,with the 70.3 Hi 6500 K 6700 lumens. Do you think I would get more throw out of the MR90. I have to say I like this design of being able to choose which way you want to use the light.
More throw from the MR90 but less lumen output x75. Thanks for watching!
Charles, I’m picking up tonight the Imalent SR 16 just because of the throw. I just love that beam. Don’t get me wrong. I think the X 75 is a better torch but they have their differences so why not both . Thanks again for such a great showing.
YW! You can't go wrong with either.
Hey Charles, how many followers did you have when Imalent first sent you their products for review?
I am not sure. For I used to have a blog page before CZcams in 2012. I had about 30k readers a week back then. Thanks for watching!
Can't this light run turbo on both sets of LEDs? I noticed on the 50,000 lumen setting the palm trees on the right only lit up like when you ran the thrower led at 2500 lumen.. 4500 lumen on spot really lit those palm trees up, but they never lit up that good when the flood was on
Flood will never throw far but wide which is normal. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTecdoesn't it run both modes at the same time?
@@markborrmannjr Yes it can.
mr90 or sr16? ive one rs50 but need one more stronger and not too big like ms18. What you recommend? thanks for the videos information!
Depends on the beam type you desire. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec if is for you you will choose sr16 or mr90 today? just curious
I already have both. Beam types are different so you will need to tell me what beam type you want.
Hi charles. It's on mr90's catalog; 18,000 lumens stays for 20 minutes. Is that really 20 minutes without stepping down? Or is it just a marketing ploy?
Maybe in cool or cold environments. I can't recall off hand if it did that long at 18k but it did at 10k lumens. Thanks for watching!
magnifique
Thanks for watching!
Hi Charles,
On the site it says it lasts for an hour in flood mode at 44500 lumens...is that true?
thank you
It will cycle down due to heat before that. That is total time used if used over and over but not continuously. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec oh ok, in fact it seemed too much, it seemed too good to be true 🤭, thanks for the detailed answer my friend, greetings from Italy 🤝👋

I'm looking for a "best of both worlds" flashlight in a smaller form factor, certainly nothing with fans.

Olight marauder 2. It's max is 14k. But so easy to switch flood and spot and adjust brightness. Still thinking about selling to buy this, but the fans....
why didnt they include a black aluminum base plate, the back of the flashlight just looks crappy with that weird silver metal back....
Dunno, but I do know one thing is, thanks for watching!
Shame about fan noise again, i have the Imalent DX80 at 32000 lumens and its a great light, it seems anything with more lumens and noisy fans are needed.
Thanks for watching!
Cost and LM ?
Everything is in the description area including link and code to see price. LM? Thanks for watching!
panu malaman kung magkano yan wala nman kasi presyo na makikita...????
Huh? Thanks for watching!
Dnt know how i feel bout this light..
Nothing to do with the Brand
IImalent is one of the best top brands
and leading the highest Lumens output
I know this is 2 in1 flashlight
But i just dnt like how the Led's look
Inside the reflector...it looks weird..
It's like somebodys False Teeth..lol
But Performance wise though it does ok
But can't get used to the Led placement
The Imalent MS12 65,000 Lumens
Does a way better job i think
And for literally $70 more
You get 15,000 Extra Lumens
I know its more of a floody beam
but it reaches Way out there..
*When you look at Dollars for Lumens*
you get a hell of alot more with the MS12👍
I agree with the price point but the MS12 gets heavy after a while verse this one is easier to carry. Thanks for watching!
👌🏿👌🏾👌🏽👌🏼👌🏻👌😍❤️🙏

Price please
Price in link below video in description area including discount code. Thanks for watching!
50K lumens = 31.25 x 100 Watt lights at 1,600 lumens each.
"What will you do with such a light?"
"ANYTHING I WANT."
Thanks for watching!
I hope other light makes take notice of this light. Other iterations of dual channel lights are laughable until you see the price tag on them. Considering this light comes with batteries it gets close to the price point of other such lights but leaves them in the dust in performance. I won't name names but I don't think I have to. For close to the same price you can get a toy or you can get a darkness killing machine.

Man, what is that background noise in all your videos? Seems like you probably do good reviews but audio is important bro.
Life goes on in the background. Thanks for watching!
I honestly believe the WOWTAC A1S is a much more convenient and useful light than this monster at a much cheaper price!!! Appears to be much more rugged than this flashlight. That was until you went to the last 3 settings
Runtime on this at the same light output would kill the A1. Thanks for watching!
You would have to be a fanatic collector to pay that much for any flashlight.
Not really. Hunters, gamers, hikers etc. all have bought this light. Thanks for watching!
The body of the flashlight is the same as other flashlights, they were too lazy to make a new one. Because of this, the arrangement of the diodes is idiotic.. it was much better to increase the size of the head, arrange the diodes in a circle and make the distance between them more
Ok. Thanks for watching!
