I love this one. I have a feeling that Owl City made this sound much like his older work that were created prior to the Midsummer Station for those who have been pleading him to bring back his older style of music. It does have an Ocean Eyes vibe to it.
Absolutely! In my opinion, Cinematic is his best album since ATBAB. Maybe because he has become independent, not working with a label anymore. Look up for an interview that Adam had on Popdust. There I've realized that the concern about not being seen as a corrupted artist took an important role and impacted the result of Cinematic.
Also because it's about him starting out on his music career. He uses the old music to reflect his younger self.
0:55 is easily the most magical part of the song.

I think it is! Good catch lmao He does a lot of "field recordings" of just random sounds he records and puts into his songs... usually the birds and random machine noises or talking or footsteps or something so I wouldn't put it past him to record himself opening and drinking water lol

No. This is a channel created and ran by a fan who posts Owl City related videos.
This instrumental version was released by Owl City for a remix context a few years ago when the album came out.
