WOW, your Coming to American is gorgeous. The frame complements it so well. Fantastic, you must be thrilled to hang it and look it. I've recently started using a beeswax thread wax. It really helps the white and light coloured threads behave, they sit so much nicer.

I LOVE your videos! Your “designer spotlight” was a wonderful idea to build around. I enjoyed the Blackbird spotlight a lot as many of the charts highlighted were new to me. I did stitch regularly when Blackbird Designs became popular but the style didn’t go with the decor in my home at the time so I simply enjoyed watching others stitch the pieces. I wish now I had purchased them from the beginning…oh well! Please continue to add the non stitching information on podcasts and film entertainment, I truly appreciate it! Hi Tara I’m a collector and kitter. I do start things but struggle with the finishing! I love me some good fabrics too! All your Brenda Gervais charts are so fun. I had no idea she has so many! I also feel like I don’t finish enough to share for a flosstube and a lot of it is haul! lol I have been absent the last few month but you make it look so easy I need to try and get back to sharing. Oh yes please share!!! I had the same problem. I was so worried, what did I actually have to add. But then after a lot of encouragement I realized we all have something to share. I know it is hard, it so is for me. I actually get super embarrassed ha. We all find so much we love ❤️ in this craft so share any way you are comfortable with.
It’s fun seeing your finishes! I am a monogamous stitcher, who will take small breaks to stitch something small. Your small BBD finish with the American flag could be finished as a needlebook. It’s the right size for one.

Reminds me of Minick & Simpson quilts that use some brighter blues! Kind of a New England vibe! I am curious as to why you like Vicky Clayton silks compared to the other types. Enjoy Market!
Thanks so much for watching. That is so good to hear on the patriotic piece. Sometimes you need second opinions if that makes sense. So Vicky is really her price point and the ease for me to get them. My LNS does not carry silks and Vicky has them kitted and ready to go if that makes sense. It is just nice price, good quality and great customer service. Hope that helps
Interested in Midnight Watch. I’m actually in the process of making the Blackbird Design quilt with the same elements. HUGE appliqué pieces. Probably the last time I’m doing something on this scale.

@@phylisparsons6976 oh man. I am sorry to hear that. I have never lost it so I am not sure I have any tips but maybe set a schedule. I will work on x project for only 30 mins a day. Set a time everyday that works and hero to that schedule until it becomes a habit it again. Ease yourself back in. I hope that helps.

Wonderful! Great suggestions. I will do my best to remember but I do stitch in hand but poke and stab. I used to use a q snap but the weight bothered my hands. I am a Pat Carson girl. When I run out I will cry. I like 1 thread and prefer 36 and 40 count.

Thx for that. That 4th of July piece with the house and flag that you showed and were questioning a blue you used in there is gorgeous! That blue is perfect to me. Eyes of the beholder I guess. Your Blackbird finishes are beautiful. I am gradually getting back to stitching (after a 30+ year hiatus). Samplers are my passion and I selected Midnight Watch a year ago as my big comeback stitch. Haven’t started it yet but more motivated now after seeing yours. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tara I’m a collector and kitter. I do start things but struggle with the finishing! I love me some good fabrics too! All your Brenda Gervais charts are so fun. I had no idea she has so many! I also feel like I don’t finish enough to share for a flosstube and a lot of it is haul! lol I have been absent the last few month but you make it look so easy I need to try and get back to sharing. Thanks for the encouragement!
Oh yes please share!!! I had the same problem. I was so worried, what did I actually have to add. But then after a lot of encouragement I realized we all have something to share. I know it is hard, it so is for me. I actually get super embarrassed ha. We all find so much we love ❤️ in this craft so share any way you are comfortable with.
It’s fun seeing your finishes! I am a monogamous stitcher, who will take small breaks to stitch something small. Your small BBD finish with the American flag could be finished as a needlebook. It’s the right size for one.

And yes, Signed and Numbered is alive and well - I have ordered numerous frames from them - love 'em. They are in a holding pattern and if I had that many WIPs, the pressure would make me crazy! Funny how we all love the collecting & stitching but handle the process in our own way. Reminds me of Minick & Simpson quilts that use some brighter blues! Kind of a New England vibe! I am curious as to why you like Vicky Clayton silks compared to the other types. Enjoy Market!

So Vicky is really her price point and the ease for me to get them. My LNS does not carry silks and Vicky has them kitted and ready to go if that makes sense. It is just nice price, good quality and great customer service. Hope that helps

@@phylisparsons6976 oh man. I am sorry to hear that. I have never lost it so I am not sure I have any tips but maybe set a schedule. I will work on x project for only 30 mins a day. Set a time everyday that works and hero to that schedule until it becomes a habit it again. Ease yourself back in. I hope that helps.

Hi Tara! I enjoyed seeing all your Blackbird finishes, I’ve only stitched And to All a Good Night, and I love it so much I leave it hanging up year round. I was wondering if you could share on one of your flosstubes what type of needles you like and if you stitch in hand or use a hoop/Qsnap, if a hoop what type. Also if there are any other cross stitch notions you love. Thanks so much for your time!
Wonderful! Great suggestions. I will do my best to remember but I do stitch in hand but poke and stab. I used to use a q snap but the weight bothered my hands. I am a Pat Carson girl. When I run out I will cry. I like 1 thread and prefer 36 and 40 count.

Great video. May not come on often, but when you do it is excellent!😊 The Etsy framing shop you mentioned is still in business. I sent it to a couple of friends who are looking for round framing. Thx for that. That 4th of July piece with the house and flag that you showed and were questioning a blue you used in there is gorgeous! That blue is perfect to me. Eyes of the beholder I guess.
