My husband gave me a cookie jar just like that for Christmas in 1971. We were engaged at the time and married in January of 1972. Still have the cookie jar after 51 years of marriage.

I wish there were one of these stores near me 😔. It would be so fun to renovate some of those lovely old wood furniture pieces. That '3 piece tea set' is actually a batter set-very popular in the 30's-40's when it was all the rage to sit at table with your fancy waffle iron, a lovely batter set and bake waffles for your family and friends.

I am delighted with your cookie jar find 🍓 always one of my favs as well. We had good friends on our street that had the same one. It was a strawberry themed kitchen right out of the 70’s with Waverly wallpaper & balloon shades to match. Always remembered that cookie jar. ❤

I'm so happy you got the Strawberry cookie jar! I always feel that super special finds like that, which evoke so many dear memories, are like God gave me a personal present! When I was a young mother, I found the entire set of the My Book House volumes all 5 of us children grew up right before my birthday. I've always felt that was a birthday present from my Heavenly Father because He knew how greatly those stories and beautiful illustrations shaped our imaginations in a lasting way.

How fantastic to find that special piece to bring you such great memories and happiness! I wish I lived closer, that bookcase that was outside in the very beginning of your video behind the bench is exactly the height and length I'm looking for! It just needed a little TLC, but it would have been perfect! I hope I can find one soon. Thank you for your prayers, I had my kidney stone removed and the stent is out now too! Whew! I love everything you've shown. Our restore doesn't have such nice things or those unbeatable prices you have there. My sister who was born in 1952 had that large bride doll. The wood furniture on this trip was very exciting...and the Fire King trivet.
Imagine having to use that ancient curling iron heated by the fire to curl your hair. I'd fry my hair, burn my cheek, neck, etc. Whew!

Really enjoyed your walk thru☺️ this restore is way better than ours! FYI... The blue striped breakfast set is what is called a waffle set with a batter pitcher and a syrup pitcher. Waffles were prepared right at the table back in the day,lol. Saw some really nice furniture there. Wow ☺️ TFS 🧓👍

2nd comment: I literally watched several parts of this 2 or 3 times due to seeing several pieces of furniture I couldn't keep my eyes off of. This wasn't what I was drooling over, but the small curio cabinet at 6:48 would be cute for a spice cabinet, or to keep essential oils in. Wish that store was near me.

I recently found an extremely large Delft platter meant for wall decor. I paid $7.95!! I knew it was worth a lot more. It’s currently hanging in my mother’s living room until we can figure out where to take it to be appraised. From what I found online, it’s worth anywhere from $200-$1500! I was so excited!

What reminds me of my grandmother is the sugar bowls, and she had a clear glass fruit juicer, I really don't remember the name but its to remove the juice from the fruit, kelly what's it called? Oh the thumbelina doll I received as a christmas gift. 8 pieces of clear glass cups for dessert. Pitcher of clear edge glass with 4 glasses. My vintage crystal lamps, one is used as a night light lamp, it has a glass shade with edge designs. All these items from grandma to pass on to my daughter.

When I go looking at older furniture, which last forever, I look for the dovetail connection in drawers. My son bought a couch from city furniture and it was falling apart in two years. So sad the furniture today is so cheaply made

Where in the Sam Hill do you live or where is this Habitat for Humanity store? Oh my goodness!!! I’d be crying too because I’ve never seen so many beautiful pieces of furniture in one of those stores before. I am in the Portland, Oregon area and none of them have that kind of quality stuff in it they’re all pretty tacky/junky. You’re very very lucky if you can visit & shop a place like that.
