Sylvain Berneron is one of the most creative and resilient people I've met during the last few years. His passion, expertise as well as experience came in handy, while he created his first watch - the Berneron Mirage. Most of the components are made out of pure gold, his first movement is developed in-house and he spared no expense while making it. Which Berneron Mirage would you choose? The Prussian Blue or Sienna model?

Would you choose the Sienna or Prussian Blue?
I'd take the Sienna, beautiful yellow gold watch and a gorgeous movement too.
Sienna for me! Both are gorgeous, however.
prussian blue
prussian blue all day
Prussian blue.
If I ever win the lottery, this will be my first purchase! This timepiece is a work of art
I first saw this watch on Instagram in a post by Bader Belselah and was impressed. Thank you for this interview. Very insightful and informative. It's fascinating to see and hear what goes on in the creator's head...
Thank you so much Marko for putting the light on our work 🙏🫶🙏
Thank you for the visit!
Beautiful watch man 👏 ❤
What a watch man!
Subscribed to youtube channel, excited for first post
I love the thought that has gone into the details and ultimately the story. Not to mention the consideration for the consumer.
One of the most interesting watches I've seen in a few years. Congratulations Sylvain and good luck, it looks very promising! Where could I get 55k for allocation? 🤔
Master pieces, the movement and finish is outstanding 👏🏼 👌
Wow, what an absolute masterpiece. Out of the world this one...
😍 Can't wait to see this watch live in September and meet up with Sylvain! It's the only modern watch that truly speaks to me.🙌🔥
Lets go!
fantastic video!
I am fascinated by this watch since the first time I saw it. instantly checked the specs and details all around it and was constantly positively surprised by the amount of love and thought Mr Berneron has invested into his vision and product.
maybe one day I get to wear it.
cheers from Vienna
Glad you like it, hope you see it in person.
Incredible pieces, we're so glad we got to see them in person and take some cool shots!
Stunning movement. The dial reminds me of the Cartier Crash. Whether or not this is a good thing, it's up to the collectors.
This is it, this is the one❤
Lets go bro!
Absolutely gorgeous watch. Would love to see it in platinum. 😊
One of my dream watch! Stunning design
Congratulations, beautiful watch!
Amazing dial and movement, 🎉 well
Done
This is a work of art, hats off to your guest Mr Berneron, for having to 🥜s to take on such a project.
Haha well said
Amazing work.
These are amazing
Beautiful. Love all on it.
100% agree!
Absolutely stunning. Beautiful!

Why does no one talk about Carl F Bucherer? I think they own or are associated with Rolex. But no one talks about them or rates them. Can you enlighten us with a little history and ranking of Carl F. Bucherer watches compared to other tiers? Thanx.
I've talked about them twice already, here are the videos:

Fantastic work, good luck with it 🙌
Love the spring bar comment.
so beautiful watches 🤩
Hey Google, what is a grail watch ... 'Berneron'
These are priceless. Tomorrow's masterpieces and Heirloom, today.
100%
Gold is a pretty soft metal. Does a movement made of gold impact its longevity and reliability?
Au750 18k gold is not softer than brass, both being at around 170 vickers for the alloys used in the watchmaking industry.
At the reasonable thickness we made our caliber 233, the longevity is identical.
Thank you for your response and clarifying. You have presented a very beautiful piece. Congratulations!
@@theJadethank you for your kind words 🙏
Much lov from Africa
😮whoa cool watch. Can I just buy a spring bar?
haha same
Marko, did you change anything with the sound quality recently? It doesn‘t sound as nice anymore as in the videos from a month ago
Hey, in theory no. But I'll check, thank you!
A beautiful watch indeed. Out of my budget, but I can imagine that the mentioned collected (who have deep pockets) wanted to buy it right away.
I am not a material scientist, but I feel almost anxious knowing that the spring bars are made of gold. Will they bend or snap easier than bars of steel? All spring bars must be replaced eventually; I have experienced spring bars failure on one of my watches. Fortunately the watch fell just a few centimeters down on the kitchen sink.
If the spring bars are made of 9kt gold should be okay.
The springbars are made out of 18ct gold. But unlike other 18ct gold springbars from different brands, these are not hollow tubes but milled from a solid rod of gold, so the rigidity is very high and you can wear the watch without having to worry about loosing it because of the spring bars.
From my experience in the industry and as a collector, all spring bars « failures » I came across were from spring bars that have not been pushed in correctly in the first place (at the factory or later changing the strap) and don’t break but snap-off instead.
Our 18K gold spring bars heads are 1mm wide (body is 1.5mm), it would require a shear stress of 25kg/mm2 to break one head. Knowing that the stress will be distributed over the two heads of the spring bar.
In conclusion, IF the spring bar is well mounted (easy to verify with our see through holes on the case and buckle) I guaranty that you will either tear the strap or heart your wrist before shearing the gold bar itself.
When I drink a lot my watch starts looking like that.
Wait, the watch is round.
Have you been drinking again !? 😉
Not so expensive
And the hours are over the minute hands 👏🏻
Mind blown!
wonderful watch, I wonder if a power reseve could be added
A moment for the font... 🤤
Once again, another lovely watch I cannot afford.
Love at first sight. Unfortunately not my price range.
SO CooL 🧐
Sienna for me
Same.
Both are stunning but the Sienna in yellow gold on a approx 36mm watch is just perfect!
Marko great work and what a watch.
I wonder did he get the design for the large barrel from the back of the 1852 Humbert Gold slug reverse?
Glad you like it, really not sure about that one. As he's a designer he sees a lot of things, what you mentioned would make sense.
These are beautiful! I would like to see one with a moonphase
Would be a nice complication to add, I agree.
So beauty i Hope to get one thanks for thé interview
17:15 3 spring bars because you have an extra one?
2 spring bars to hold on to the case and 1 for the pin buckle.
A total of 3 spring bars per watch.
@@berneron oh ok
Потрясающая отделка механизма
Wow
100k Australian is so cool.
True high horology
In it's purest form.
wow
See you at the winners circle in Geneva
very nice but I feel like Im looking at a fashion watch of Dali painting
If you want fashion watches check Softwatch.
How much😅
Toppppppp
Salvador Dali has entered the chat!
Salvador Dali started drooling.
As an observer for a while now, it seems waaaaaay more impressive for a microbrand to have a fantastic watch for a few hundred or a thousand dollars, than it is for someone to make a dozen for $50,000 each....
Apples and oranges here but if that's more impressive for you it's fine. A micro brand and a watch like the Berneron are in opposite universes though. I understand your point though.
Incredible craftsmanship but it it looks like absolute shit imo not my cup of tea
Dali copy crap.
Dali wishes he made a watch like this.
Not terribly original and ugly design. Trying very hard to be different for the sake of being different.
$60k. . . way to take me out of the equation
Well, it's good to aspire. I'm in the same boat...
So beauty i Hope to get one thanks for thé interview
