Oldest member: Miyeon, Main Vocalist. Apparently as far as Koreans are concerned (the 'Korean Beauty Standard'), Miyeon is said to have THE PERFECT feminine nose. She is Korean by blood and by birth and is a real beauty so they consider her to be 'the Korean Visual' of the group. BUT, when they debuted, they had SIX members. Three members are foreigners. The maknae also happens to be considered as a Visual because she fits the Korean Beauty Standard even though she is from Taiwan.
Second-oldest member: Minnie, also a Main Vocalist. She should also be considered as a Visual of the group in my own opinion but Koreans are racist against Thai people, apparently (just ask Lisa of BLACKPINK). Minnie is from a Royal Family; one of her Uncles was actually the last King of Thailand. Don't believe me? That's fine, it is searchable and verifiable, look it up for yourself.
Third-oldest member: Soojin, Main Dancer. Obviously you were getting in to that in the next video. Anyway, she's AMAZING and very much beloved and very very missed by fans.
Fourth-oldest member (or Third-youngest): Soyeon. Yup, she had THREE people in the group who she calls Unnie, now down to just two. But no doubt at all, Soyeon is the group's all-rounder, the friggin' GENIUS of the Fourth Generation of K-Pop! She does it all. She had a solo project before she even debuted in (G)I-DLE and she was assisted by Soojin in one of the MVs. She was also in a temp group where she was the youngest member (I think Seulgi of Red Velvet was in that group too, but I could be wrong, been too long since I watched that). With everything that Soyeon is on stage, and even behind the scenes the driving force of the group, she is a shy introvert, believe it or not! Later on in the group's career, about the time of the scandal around Soojin happened, Soyeon also had another solo project and there is a full album for that. It's great! She got to work with YoungJi and BiBi on an awesome rap song that Soyeon wrote, 'Is This Bad B**** Number?', which appears on that album. Though, the main song on that album is called 'Beam Beam', which is a really fun bop! She didn't feel right throughout that project because she knew what was going on around Soojin. One of her interviews (with Jessi!) has footage that most have not seen. Soyeon cried because she knew what was going on but of course was not allowed to talk about it. She knew Soojin was getting rail-roaded but Soyeon could not do a thing about it. It's like watching a close friend get hit by a train in slow motion when you are paralyzed.
Fifth Member/ Second-youngest: Yuqi (the Korean version is pronounced /oogie/, with the oo sounding like 'book' and not like 'rude'). She is Chinese so pronouncing her name is different over there, sounds more like /you-chee/. She's a deep-voiced Rapper alongside Soyeon and she also dances really well. Her solo project was CRAZY, she actually plays Guitar and she had her Rock era! These days, the group is trying to figure out who their Main Dancer is, since Soojin is out. Yuqi is trying out for it. Honestly, they are all good to great dancers, and the group does a lot to keep the memory of Soojin alive. If they decide not to promote anybody to the position of Main Dancer in order to honor Soojin, I would not be offended by that at all. I think it would be a very touching tribute.
Maknae: Shuhua. She is Taiwanese. Early on, she had massive trouble speaking Korean properly so she actually WANTED LESS LINES in songs, so she would not disgrace the group. Obviously she has worked very hard to improve her language skills. She LOVES Soojin, who helped Shuhua a lot when she first arrived. There are shipperrs all over the planet that are totally heartbroken about Soojin's situation, everybody feels really bad for Shuhua especially.
It's not that koreans are racist towards Minnie, it's Just that koreans have some crazy ass beauty standarts
@@toamszkozak8822 No, not toward Minnie personally (they likely know better than to start an international incident by picking on a foreigner of a royal family), but toward Thai people in general.
And yes, Koreans have their stupid-ass IMPOSSIBLY NARROW view of 'what beauty looks like', which 99% of their own people don't even fall into. It's SO DUMB. It's an engineered thing started by wealthy men, decades ago, who are now OLD rich farts who control the media and brainwash the masses to agree with their own stupid fetishes. But that's another different topic altogether.
'Racism' implies it is against entire nations of people who are NOT Korean. Lisa's case was pretty bad, that's why that hashtag (Respect Lisa) went around the whole world after going viral in the first place. Koreans are VERY racist. I am not even saying ALL Koreans, but there are enough of these hateful bigots online to make all of Korea look really bad.
I am from the U. S. and from my own personal perspective, the Korean people that I have seen are beautiful, BUT I have not seen many pictures of 'average' Koreans. I only see idols and soloists, backup dancers and actors, etc. The faces of company staffers who help the Idols are always blurred out, etc. I don't ever see those who handle garbage, janitorial staff, taxi or limo drivers, people who work everyday jobs selling food as vendors or work the kiosks, etc.
From what I have seen, these people who end up on camera are always good looking from my perspective. Calling only a small percentage of those on camera 'Visuals' is stupid because they all look good.
Maybe it's just because I am used to a country that is anything but monochrome. Anyway, I don't understand how Koreans could ever have called Lisa 'ugly' at all. I don't understand how anybody called Hwasa 'ugly' either. She's what we over here call an 'Exotic Beauty'. On the other hand, Mariah Carey was called 'ugly' when she was a kid over here. Look how she grew up! Any 'standard' of beauty is broken from the get-go. We are all Human, there are endless variations of Human beauty.

You may be surprised to hear this because there are many Girl Groups in K-Pop and to add to it many groups from the Big Company groups which fans like even before their debut.
But here 5 (only 5) facts about Gidle even though they are from a company not as big as the Big 4 company which many people lean towards to:
1. Most music show awarded Girl Group among the current generation.
2. The group that gets 2 PAK with 2 song in 2022 which was last done in 2016.
3. The only 4th Generation girl group who write, compose and Produce their own music.
4. The group that has topped Melon chart in 2022 which was last done by a girl group in like forever.
5. The only 4th Generation girl group who can get a billion streams on Spotify.
Bonus: Soyeon is the only female idol from a girl group who has won Songwriter Award in K-Pop history.

If you missed their last tour hopefully they'll come back soon and you can walk away from them in person. Soyeon is a legend. Soojin as well. Although it annoyed me when another reactor said it like that (before they knew any better), somehow it just does not annoy me with Kiana...I don't know why not...maybe it just has to do with her schtick, being mad at the entire experience... lol
When the group talks about themselves in Korea, while speaking Korean, they don't bother with the G because everybody can see they are girls in a girl group.
In other places around the world, they have introduced themselves in English and used the G, but that is to clear up other things. The Bible warns about 'worshiping false idols' so the group puts the G in just to make sure everybody else knows that they know, they are human girls and do not believe themselves to be gods or idols to be worshiped.
Anyway, it is not /giddle/ like a griddle.
