(the only one you should double click is the "fabric installer" (the others only open when in the minecraft "mods folder" with java installed),
,but it could just be that your windows defender is set to paranoid mode (this means it is set to tell you that everything is a threat if it ends in .jar) I have never had that exact error myself but sometimes it can be 3rd party antivirus; to give context, a lot of antivirus programmes like AVG or mcaffee are subscribtion services that sometimes even come preinstalled on windows devices that deliberately lag your computer and only un-lag it if you pay them.

As far as I know, only with operator privileges, there possibly are ways to get this but it would likely violate microsofts terms and conditions of use. :)

when i use the fabric installer it says select a app for the .jar file do u know what i need for it to show the fabric installer
you need to open it with java, right click and select open with and then select java, if java doesn't show up then you need to either install the latest version or possibly it is already installed and you just choose select another app and the go to "this pc" in file manager and then c:\ in the file manager and select a folder that should be something like programs x86 and the look for a folder called java, then look for a file called java.exe and double click it or click it and select open and it should run. I hope this helps in some way, my expertise is somewhat limited :').

@@That_CZcams_guy If you are trying to open the client itself, then it will not and should not be opening, if you are opening the fabric installer and it is saying unable to install, then it usually means that you have to make a new vanilla (no mods in the mods folder) installation on the Minecraft launcher in the same version as the version of the client you are using; (presumably 1.20.4 ) and run it once. this just means make a 1.20.4 installation under the installations tab by clicking "new installation" and then under versions selecting 1.20.4. Then run the game as normal without mods so that the 1.20.4 version has already been installed on your device. This is so that the game has all the right files from the original game itself to work properly. Then try installing the client, and make sure that the fabric installer is set to 1.20.4 if you are using that version before you hit the install button. If you are using a later more recent version of the client then make sure to check the name of the file for a number like 1.20.6 or 1.20.4 or 1.21 and make sure that the fabric installer is set to that version when you press the installer button. often times you can accidentally download say for example the 1.20.4 version of the client and api and then accidentally run the fabric installer in say 1.20.6 or 1.21 and it can cause problems. also make sure that you get both the fabric installer and api from the same page; they should be right next to each other. if you use an older or newer "api" than the version of the client itself then it can cause this to happen also. As far as I know yes, at the moment (the time of me replying to this comment) it is still working, but the site only keeps the latest two version of the client for minecraft, so now that 1.21 has come out, it may only last for a short while, currently 1.20.4 and 1.20.6 are the available versions on the meteor site, but when they update again 1.20.4 might disappear however there will likelt be later versions still available that require exactly the same steps as a re shown in the tutorial. I hope this reply can be of some assistance :').

Unfortunately the Meteor Client developers do not keep historical versions that are easily accessible, After Minecraft Updated to 1.21 the trial chambers update the button seems to be gone for 1.20.4. Sorry but this tutorial is now unfortunately outdated. The Wurst Client is much more adept at keeping easy to access historical versions of their client. The meteor website has a link to how to get historical versions of the client, but I was unable to find the 1.20.4 version as none of them seem to be labeled. Sorry I can't be of much help. :').
You have to download the following two files Client:
The client itself: meteorclient.com/
Fabric Installer: fabricmc.net/use/installer/
then run the fabric installer with the version set to 1.20.4
then press "windows key" + "r" and type "%appdata%" (without the quotation marks "") and hit enter
Then you have to open the ".minecraft" folder and look for a folder named "mods" (if it doesn't exist then this is normal if it is your first time using mods; just create a new folder and call it "mods" (without using the speech marks of course)) and then drag the meteor client into that "mods" folder and run the game as normal. :) If it doesn't say something like "fabric 1.20.4" in the installations box next to the "play" button in the launcher, then go to installations and click "New installation" and under "version" click the drop down arrow, and then in the search bar type "fabric" and look for the one ending in 1.20.4, then name the installation and hit the create button in the bottom right hand corner, and go back to "play" then hit the little downward pointing arrow that looks like a "v" and select fabric 1.20.4 and hit play. :)
alternatively now you can actually just download the meteor client and click the open mods folder button instead of doing it the long way to get to the mods folder.
