When award-winners go up there and say “I want to thank” and then list 20 people, it’s not as memorable for the people they thanked nor for the audience.
That, or they go into a ten minute monologue about their theory of life and just what it is about their world view that makes them so wonderful. I'm looking at you Matthew McConaughey. Gosling is class.
