Amtrak Train 5 California Zephyr at Colfax, CA

Amtrak train 5 stops at Colfax with 2 private cars on the front for a special excursion to next weeks Portola RR Days. Note the double spot for the sleepers and coaches. As they are running the No 1 track they had to unload on the street as opposed to the platform.

Nice video. Interesting that the private cars were at the front of the train and not the rear. Normally private cars are always on the rear of the Zephyr. I have shot video of the Zephyr and tons of other trains passing through Colfax over the years and vids are on my youtube account.
