It's how God designed it. But we are so broken culture identified that we don't know the order from a foundation of love but struggle.

I think a lot of people see bothered by the order of spouse and children because most people are in unhealthy marriages but posting happy pictures. They know in their neared there is no way I am placing my toxic wife or toxic husband before my kids. When you we in a marriage with a partner that allows you to flourish then that order only seems natural.
Also, maybe that's why the marriage is toxic or just not working because they don't know or understand God's order for marriage!

This, I’m 22 and would cringe or get upset when people would say that their Spouse comes before their children, but as I’ve matured, it only seems right!!! I actually think it’s beautiful. How will your household work, if the leaders aren’t taking care of each other.

I remember when April Mason was a guest on the show and stated that your children need you for about 10 years and then all they need from you is money and a ride until they are adults 😂😂😂. It really helped me think that eventually my son will have his own life and his own marriage and I deserve to devote my free time and energy into myself and dating again
This is actually true. My oldest is 14 now and all he needs is money and a ride. The first 10 years were very crucial and I found myself being more involved than I am. We still talk, he still learns but he’s way more independent than the first 10 years.
1000% agree, and I have actually expressed this to my children that they will go off and live their lives. Sure we would hang out and see one another. but where does that live me? Single
@SteadyStepss oooo Chile thats a hard pill to swallow and painful to not feel needed as before. Dropped my son to college I was waiting for him to say Mom I want to come home..instead he mom you don't need to call me every day or try to come visit.
@@trinimom7686hugs mama! He will definitely grow out of that phase. I think for him it’s the adrenaline he feels about being on his own and that sense of freedom which isn’t really freedom in itself tbh. My son asked me if I will be okay if himself and his friends rented a place and lived there. I said yup go right on cause I know you will run right back home in no time. I say that to say that he will be the one calling in no time and just wanting to be in Mummys safe space. Sending you hugs mama! You are always going to be needed, it just changes at different stages of their lives. ♥️♥️♥️

If I could do it all over again, I would consider becoming a Christian therapist (LMFT). What a blessing it would be to be able to facilitate healing on behalf of the Lord.

My mom called me crying and apologizing for things from my childhood that I didn’t even know were burdens and insisted I watched this episode as a single mother of 2 in this dating world. I haven’t watched it yet but based off these comments and her just crying profusely (she hardly ever cries) I know it’s going to be a blessing.

The confirmation God knew I needed. ❤ For a few years now God has been nudging me to take a leap and move to Dallas from NY all alone. I said just what ‘the lady’ said…”Lord I don’t know anybody there”…He directed me to read about Abraham. I said “Lord I’m scared. Who’s going to cover me? Where’s my purpose partner? I haven’t met him yet. You know I’m divorced…you know I don’t have all my ducks in a row…where am I gonna live? What about work? How will I feel safe? What about my family? What will they say? My children? Are they really grown enough?” I have so many questions and what ifs…when ‘the lady’ said: “The Lord said to me you know Me and I know everybody”…listen!!! I darn near ran across the room! Lord forgive me for my doubt and fears and lack of trust 😢. This was a wonderful, blessing filled episode of awesomesauceness! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
