I think with the more recent generations they really support it when youtubers get sponsorships now because everyone be respecting the "grind and get paid" culture now instead of "your a sell out" shaming. Love these chatty videos, feels like friends having a good old chat over coffee. Have total sympathy with your mortgage situation. My youngest daughter is a small business owner, a successful business at that, but lives with me purely because she cannot afford to pay for her own house as well as plough profits into the business to expand and continue being successful, and to pay employees wages. The living wall looks INCREDIBLE. We all have a life outside of plants, and you’re allowed to talk about it! And those who support who you are as a person, which you are, are the true ones. People love to run you down for whatever they can- it’s a gross mentality humans have. But, you keep doing youuu!

Love this long video! As I said on the last video, I was one of the people on your community post who said “I’d literally watch you do anything,” and I honestly meant exactly that.
I like plants. That’s what initially drew me to your channel. But what kept me coming back is YOU.
When I first started getting into plants, I checked out and even subbed to other plant channels that (unfortunately) I’m just not that invested in. Their content doesn’t speak to me like yours does. I’m not coming back here for JUST plants or JUST horses or JUST living wall… I’m coming back here, week after week, for YOU KAYLEE. You.
Whatever you want to talk about, whatever you want to do, whatever strikes your fancy at this particular moment, I’m here for it. I’m here for that, whatever it might be.

I'm really relieved someone else understands what it feels like to battle a bit with the mind and physical body and just life circumstances, and just staying positive and just pushing all the time trying to achieve the dream, I'm exhausted.

I'm also trying to find a home and at one point one estate agent advised me to MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY... Safe to say I gave up for now ...

The mortgage thing - yeah its tough here in Australia too. Most people now will never pay off their mortgage in their lifetime, even if they get one. Really not the lucky country any more, and I totally agree, what my parents had to do to get a home in the 1970's is nothing like how tough it is now.
I am 51, I rented for 28 years before finally scraping in a small mortgage on a very rundown place in a remote location - but with land, 7 acres. I've done all the work on it myself, built fencing, structures, took 4 years just to clear out the hard rubbish, repair leaking roof, replace broken water pumps, get rid of the extreme rat, mouse and snake (yeah deadly ones! 20 around and under my house had to go...) plagues, get food growing areas going and so much more, on my own with small kids. So I really do empathise, and I enjoy your channel not just because you seem genuine and share your knowledge generously, but because I identify with your struggles and enterprise doing these huge things yourself and pursuing your dreams with hard work and guts.
I am working on mine here too, self sufficiency and a little backyard nursery :)
You and Gus have also reignited my maranta passion lol! Off to stare lovingly at my own red vein maranta, just an outrageously stunning plant who I might now repot...he's been flowering like crazy and is in a really small pot haha!! Brilliant tip, thank you!! :)

Having just been through the house buying process in March I can completely empathize with how stressful and exhausting of a time it can be. Hang in there and know that the stress won’t be forever.
Fingers crossed that the horse and house thing will be ok soon! 💚 I'm in Germany and even though I'm employed, working as a legal assistant I would probably never get a mortgage because I have no own capital (been living in East Germany up until 8 years ago and basically earned minimum wage).

Thank you! I suffer from scoliosis, my pain comes and goes. Sorry, it's hard to trust anyone. I know you having trouble with the situation with your horse and getting a home. I hope that all goes well with get a home and with the horse situation. And these days a lot of people including myself has mental issues. Things don't help exspecially when you got people that try to screw you over every chance they get. I hope all goes well for you keep us updated. We are with you every step of the way.

I bought a house in Southern California on my own, and it was very stressful but incredibly rewarding. Patience was key as I purchased a foreclosure and took 9 months to resolve all the issues with bank liens. You can do it Kaylee! Stay strong!

I had to stop the video and comment after the mortgage thing, because our broker literally did the exact same thing to us - and we found out *in the middle of our house inspection* (for those who have never purchased a house - the inspection costs about $600 and took two hours). So right in the middle of paying $600 to find out if we had a good house, we found out we had no funding for the house! Fortunately we were able to find another broker FAST and it may have promise but it's been an agonizing weekend. (It happened yesterday.)

Living in the USA, me and my husband just bought a house in October of 2019 (right before the pandemic) and it was soooo hard and there were fees all over the place. And I know where we live in Florida ands almost doubled in what we paid back then. The housing market is wild 🤦 I hope you're successful!

I'm currently trying to save up for a service dog but my physical health is just tanking so I'm about to have to pay $1200 for an MRI, $500 for a geneticist, $60/week for infusions, and probably about $1500 for a wheelchair IF I can get insurance to cover the rest (this is America🙄). It's so freaking hard. So so hard. Sending lots of love❤️ money struggles are so tough!

Side note on the angel fish: we always had salt water & fresh water tanks growing up, and angel fish are pretty aggressive 😳. Our 2 angel fish pretty much bullied the other fish that were in with them, killed the smaller guys, and eventually, one killed the other. Needless to say, that was the last time by dad bought angel fish haha.
Oh God!!! I'm hoping the best for you as I want that hope for myself. Nowdays is insane difficult to get good job , an home for yourself , and be happy for what you have at the start of your life cause all the others tell you that you must be better and better than your preavious version and do all by yourself from the nothing. It's really scary but we have to deal with it We can withstand as our plants do 💪🏻

Buying a house, for me, in California was 80% money and 20% luck... But it will always me the most stressful period of my life. Our realtor ended up being a super pro and really guided us through everything and wasn't predatory in any way.

I've been in the horseworld all my life and more recently supporting my daughter in the competitive jumper discipline. We have experienced so much negative shit(for lack of a better word)specifically with the people in the community. In fact she is currently without a horse because of it which is so sad as she is an extremelytalented rider. I truly hope you can move on after your legal battle and find an appropriate horse for you!

I don't know how it works in the UK, but in the US, we got a mortgage for self employed. It was a pain and stressed but it worked out. We had to have 2 years tax return. Me having a tiny amount of W2 income was helpful. I was making 13.00 an hour and we were only approved for 99k but we got out awesome property for 67k. The economy has gone insane since 2017

Truly some plants can grow through anything. I saw the best meme about that today-a seedling growing up in the crack of a car’s backseat and meanwhile a plant growing in your house dies if it doesn’t like your tap water or the soil you put it in. Ehhh that is the struggle😆

RO water is good for a fish tank, but you might want to add some trace minerals back in since they're good for the fish. I use Seachem Equalibrium in mine.

This wall is missing some moss! Just grab some small pieces and pin them to the wall in some spaces (that may be too shaded for other plants) and forget about it. It will grow super slow but at some point it will cover all the black!
Equestrian here ! Before buying a horse get a PPE always and for next time ! I really hope you can get reimbursed and you can enjoy riding again . I highly recommend not buying and just leasing you get to enjoy a horse and riding with just a small fee once a month instead of board farrier vet feed ext .
