Lyrics:
Good evening aren’t we lucky to be here right now
And I can’t remember when the sun went down
We’ll all be surprised if there’s a bar in town
That welcomes us tonight, that welcomes us tonight
But there’s money in our pockets and the Llandoger’s in sight
Heave and ho! A roving we will go
Down the roads of cobbles to the everlasting flow
Of Ale and cider, whisky boys, it’s flowing like the wine
We’ll all be well tonight, we’ll all be well tonight
While there’s money in our pockets and the Llandogers in sight
Stand and sing! The walls begin to ring
With the sound of centuries gone past and history in the beams
Where Defoe and Stevenson both put the world to rights and
We’ll all be well tonight, we’ll all be well tonight,
While there’s money in our pockets and the Llandogers in sight
Your time, it is precious
And there’s plenty to be done
But I hear that Jack can be a dull, dull boy
So drink with us tonight, drink with us tonight
‘Coz there's money in our pockets and the Llandogers in sight
Well the spirits have got us in every way I know
I see angels in the rafters taking in the show
The smartest fool the dumbest sage are singing in the back
And we’ll all be well tonight, put your troubles in the past
We’ll all be well tonight, ah we’ve found heaven at last
We’ll all be well tonight
We’ll all be well tonight
We’ll all be well tonight
We’ll all be well tonight x2
‘Coz theres money in our pockets and the Llandogers in sight - Hudba
We were at the llandoger the day they came to record the background atmosphere, group cheers, chants and sing-along bits for a couple of the songs. So this is always going to have fond memories for me lol. We'll all be well tonight! 😂
@maddywhite3633 Absolutely 🏴☠️ 🍻
So question, how many glasses of beer were spilled recording this? Gotta love the fun atmosphere but the floor/tables were probably absolutely soaked with all the jumping up and down and glass slamming. A fun crazy atmosphere makes a great backdrop but probably not so much a clean one.
@bobbys332 I was in the states when they recorded the video so I wasn't there for that. I was there a couple months before when they did the recording for the album.
@@mtaybar5317 Ah I misunderstood.
@@mtaybar5317 So they came to record a background for a different thing or song? You said you were there when they were recording and then said you weren't there in a second comment, so I'm confused now
My two year old daughter runs around the room dancing whenever she hears this, her absolutely favourite song! As soon as it finishes she looks at me and says "more!"
10/10 Not enough Andy staring into my soul as if he'd peered into my future lives and had found me wanting
😂😂😂
Andy’s stare is indeed legendary
this feels like the drunk cousin of the hard times come again no more music video and i mean that in the absolute best way possible. so fun and joyous, an absolute treat!!
I was thinking the same thing 😂👍
I wish that I could "like" this every time I tune in because it's one of my favorites and I'm SO glad that they opened this during their last tour!
I swear anything these guys sing is either oddly nostalgic or incredibly giddy and just a vibe
The sheer joy in this video is palpable, and very much welcome. Thanks for pulling me out of the doldrums.
Sure sounds like they are having a hooley in the kitchen. Pass 'em a jar!
2:44 The Llandoggo's in sight
I was waiting for this time in the video to see what you meant, jolly good.
I already love this song so much, in this oddly sentimental way? It feels like a memory, feels familiar, like I’ve been listening to it all along. So it’s it’s already adequately nestled in amongst my absolute favorites
The past few months have been pretty rough. Lot of family issues and medical concerns. However thankfully things are on uptick on both ends and I'm hopeful for the future.
Because of this I'm an emotional wreck of a human. When I watched this got to 1:57 I was balling my eyes out in a good wat. I haven't had a good cry in ages. I greatly appreciate everyone's work on this.
My wife and I are seeing you all in Ashville NC. I really hope I can meet you all or see you at one of the local breweries. Wicked Weed and their sister brewery Funaktorium one my two favorites.
Take care, and thank you all again.
Robbie is such a natural on camera. I could use many words to describe it, but to put it simply, he just has IT. Instant star quality. Man should be on billboards. Highlights: 0:50, 1:34
I agree! I mean, they’re all pretty charismatic really.
This was a blast to be part of; thanks so much to the band for putting the call out to the fanbase and paying for the bar tab! Such a great tribute to a pub which hosts the epic shanty session twice a month, one of the best things you can do in Bristol with the most welcoming crew
Oh that was just so far beyond adequate! So delighted for everyone who was able to be part of it. A very special launch for the album, feels perfectly fitting. Huzzah!
Happy Voyage release day!! Loving the new album, and this video just oozes with all the fun the johns had making it! We’ll all be well tonight!
I'm glad Robbie got to lean into punk! This one is a certified banger
Another most adequate offering, chaps! I'm loving the new album.
Best night ever. Officially documented!
That was so good!!!!!!! So great to see some familiar faces of people I've never actually met :D I LOVE that you invited your fans to do this. The song makes me super happy, and the video even more so! Gonna have to watch it in fullscreen now so I can catch more of the fun details. You lads are the absolute best!
Some good music for good times in a good place. Who needs more?
Love it so much, it looks like you all had a lot of fun filming it!
The whole album has been so wonderful to listen to, I've had it on repeat most of the day. Incredible work! Can't wait to see you on tour!!
It was so much fun to film!
Oh, most certainly. It was great to meet so many of the other loons who love this band, and to bounce around joyfully together in the background
@@frselsig it really was!
He didn't even break a glass this time ;)
Oh, glasses were broken... One by me. (And it belonged to Rich, the drummer, and was largely full...)
But you know that he would have paid for it, he said so in the Yogscast!
I heard this song on Finnish radio Yule Yuksi, Shazamed it, found it on CZcams, and was pleasantly surprised. Thank you.)
So much fun, guys! I like the angel costume callback to the “Shantyman at Christmas” video!
This is one of those bangers that just make you energized and ready to fight the day so you can party at night.
This is instantly my favourite thing you guys have done! I love the energy in the performamce. Amazing job!
Ah lads it's so full of joy! Thank you for sharing. The new album is exciting and you all seem happy and enjoying yourselves, well done 🎉
Ooh, I'm so excited for this! I've loved the song since Jingle Jam, love it on the album, and been really excited and curious about the video ever since the call for extras.
A new video always brightons my day. A new album and a new video sends me to the moon. congrats on the awesome video and the amazing album guys. Cant wait to see you on the tour.
Love this! Love the Llandoger and their sea shanty nights and love that they now have a theme song from our favourite band
My husband & I watched the Twitch stream for Voyage last night & I absolutely fell in love with this song. It’s such a four-on-the-floor romp & that Andy worked in a quote from ‘Soldier’s Joy’ makes me smile. My dad loved that tune & I think he would’ve loved this one too. Fantastic job, lads ❤.
What a delight ! It feels like I've known this song my whole life 😊 The editing is extremely adequate !
Looks like you had plenty of fun filming this and how nice it is to see Andy smiling so much !
I'll definitely try to go to the Llandoger's sea shanty nights if I can one day.
Congrats on the album guys, it is absolutely wonderful ! I'm hoping to see you again at a show in Paris one day 🤞
I remember wearing the white uniform in bars from Halifax to Honolulu, Subic Bay, Vung Tau, Bancock and a shed on Hon Roi Island. Long time ago and far, far away.
Was wonderful to be part of this music vid! 💕
Makes me homesick for Bristol!
I just got the chance to listen to Voyage today and in my opinion it's the best album you've ever released, and that's saying something!
Well done, boys. Shades of Dreadnoughts, Murphys, and Molly in this one and I'm here for all of it 😁🤘
They're on Molly?
@@amelialikesfrogs5778 I think they meant it reminds them of the irish band flogging molly
I was imagining what the music video for this song would be like when i was listening to the album, and this is basically what i thought of! Such a great song and album!
I wish i could've experienced this at the bar, but the tour is just 'round the corner. Can't wait :)
This looked like everyone had so much fun. Love it! And thanks for giving me a glimpse of my old stamping ground - many happy memories of the LLandoger 👍
God I love the Llandoger
I love it ! So great, funny and joyful ! I can't wait to receive the album 😁
Really love theJingle Jam version, such a great song!
Saw this live on the jingle jam, this is just perfect
Love the joyous vibe!
I loved this song!
Yes! I've been waiting for this album since you announced it on the stream. It is going straight to reel to reel tape!
Rockstar sailors! 🤘⚓⛵🥰
Your videos just get better and better! Looks as though everyone had a great time making it, oh and the songs not bad either 😂
Most adequate ❤
An amazing song remember hearing this first on the Jingle Jam and this is such a great music video. Love you guys 👍
Great video and song. Looked so much fun to film!
Love the song & such a happy video. If I wasn't disabled I'd be dancing round the room.😂 The whole thing just makes me smile 😊
I am proud to be here on this historic day ❤❤ adequate album boys
Some day I'd love to see The Longest Johns at the Michigan Irish Music Festival :) It's a great show and I feel like they'd fit right in and I can just imagine the crowds singing along to this one!
Nice little quote of "Soldier's Joy" there. I'm constantly amazed at all of the places that turns up.
I been waiting for this! We'll all be well tonight! ❤
Awesome!
Found you in the Ren mix... two songs in and I LOV E IT .new subscriber here ❤❤❤
omfg watching this from my office on a Friday afternoon has sank the end of my work week, off to my local Llandoger
Have you ever thought about covering The Captain's Wife's Lament by Paul and Storm? It could follow this song, as a telling of the aftermath.
Ok, brilliant music and video of course, but now you've introduced me to a new crush on a violin player! Alex Garden 😍 I seem to have a thing with blonde haired people!
Brilliant song! Can't wait for more from you guys
This is the cutest video, and Robbie must have been a punk rocker in a previous life.
Okay we are not going to let The Longest Johns sit quietly as they drop the banger of the year are we?
Three guesses what'll be the opening number on the upcoming tour.
Come, come in France, in Gironde😊❤
Amazing song my guys. Just lovely.
This made me so happy!
Ah, brilliant song as always! This one's going up with Hard Times as a cozy classic, I think!
This was great! A cover of "Big Hewer" and "White Squall" would be also great!
Good music, so cheerful!! it reminds the Skinny Lister!
Omg haha brilliant
How have you managed to make my autistic/socially anxious nightmare look so appealing?!
an absolute slap like always
I love this
I spy with my little eye an octave mandolin, the bestest of all the instruments
Brilliant song and Video. Thanks everyone
Smashing it as always me laddies.
The very beginning reminds me a lot of "Lady of the map" (one of my favourite songs), was that on purpose ? Anyway this one's incredibly catchy so I guess it will be joining my evergrowing "favourite songs" list.
Another one for the play list!
gotta say andy really steeped up this album (not that he wasnt already ) but I really appricate the effort
Amazing
I began following this band years ago because they were doing what no one else was: real folk music. Now they're just the same as everyone else. Did the world really need more rock n' roll? Return to how you started!! I can't possibly be the only long-time fan you've disappointed!
Video #4 of asking for Cold Winds, chemical worker song and other YT exclusives to make it to spotify one day :)
They hit the stretch goal for the youtube album on their kickstarter so they probably will.
The facial acting from Robbie between 1:11 and 1:17 just cracks me up 🤣 Adequate, me boys!
In which JD gets pressganged and Evan is finally found!
I just went oooh a new video.
I didn't realize i was ahead of the sraet od premier lmao
18 minutes ago~? Crazy
Im 6h in
These lads could really do 'Coaltown Road' by the Barra MacNeils well!
UP the LLANDOGER 1:21
Why am I just discovering these guys?
wish I could be a part of stuff like this, but alas, I'm a salty Yank 😕
what abum is byker hill on, I can only find it on yt
So far it is! It’s one of many CZcams only “studio sessions” they’ve done in the past year or so. But as part of the Kickstarter campaign for the new album, we unlocked a “stretch goal” of them making the CZcams studio sessions into an actual album (I think only digital, could be wrong) so keep your eyes open for that! (Not sure how long that’ll take, though-I think they have to remix it, etc.)
These ladies dressed as sailors may not be blessed with large pointed ears but their still very pretty ladies.
