I will have to try it. We let them grow in a fence row. Here in the Philippines.
I tipped mine about 1" below the top. But now have about 7 or 8 laying on the trellis now. 8 plants in the 25 gallon, and 7 more that are in 5 gallon pots.
A good rule of thumb is to limit the off shoots from that tipping to 5
Right now all i have is 3 branches. Its like thats all that wants to grow at a time. But thats fine to me. Getting a few branches that are starting to bend over the trellis.
How do you handle them and not get stuck ? Iâm thinking I need leather gloves
It's not that bad. The thorns are spaced far enough apart and are usually not that large. This cactus isn't like traditional cactus
