- The 1968 Act expanded on previous acts and prohibited discrimination concerning the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race, religion, national origin, sex, (and as amended) handicap and family status. Title VIII of the Act is also known as the Fair Housing Act (of 1968).
The King assassination riots, also known as the Holy Week Uprising, were a wave of civil disturbance which swept across the United States following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4, 1968. Some of the biggest riots took place in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Chicago, and Kansas City.
Multiple factors created the protests in 1968. Many were in response to perceived injustice by governments-in the USA, against the Johnson administration-and were in opposition to the draft, and the United States' involvement in the Vietnam War.

It's my opinion that it's a complete waste of time and energy to have racial discussions with non-FBA's, although the discussions do need to be had. But in today's snowflake world, people are quick to get "triggered" and "gaslit" and any other new BS terms you can think of. 🤦🏾♂️
The world needs more black Panthers ✊
We must make it a point to stay on topic and stop getting emotional.
Are you sure this is from 1968? This sounds like today...so what does that tell you...actually the boldness has been lost. It has been pacified by tokens of freedom.
