Their performance of "Perennial" at this concert was epic and had much better sound quality. I personally enjoy their live performances over their studio video. Their performance of "Who is going to One" (Live, Napalm Records) while heavy was a masterclass on how to do a rock concert.
Perennial has been recommended over and over again so we 100% will do it!

The neck tattoo is the face of mesoamerican dragon-god Quetzalcoatl, and being across her voicebox (also, throat chakra=center of communication) is so fitting. The "not so difficult" part, there are bootlegs of shows (they mostly play intimate clubs since they are still an up and coming band) where the audience nails it, and Tatiana gets such an adorablely big grin on her face that she has a hard time singing for a bit. :) Definitely watch Perennial live at Wacken to see another epic performance at the same show. Lots more epic onstage videos though. They have built their career playing every show they could and are so epic on stage.

@@BreakdownMediaYT Indeed. When she was 15 she heard Otep and knew this was what she was meant to do. She started singing with every band that would let her pick up a mic, with Jinjer being band #8. :) She’s been a performing singer more than half her life now.

@@BreakdownMediaYT I was turned off from listening to it at first because of the double kick drum intense beat at the beginning, but then wow..its such a beautiful performance and song..i think you'll both agree. Also! It was almost impossible for me to hear what shes saying when shes screaming since I'm not into that genre usually, but after reading the lyrics, it becomes wayyy more clear haha..maybe thatll help bridge the gap a bit as well

I love Pisces, I've had the audio of the live session video as my waking alarm for the past year and I still love it more every time I hear it!
There are so many great live performance videos of Jinjer, definitely react to Perennial live at Wacken which was the song played immediately after this one and Tatiana's performance of Perennial is just mesmerizing and kickass, especially as the last song of their set!

"I fooking loved it!" is the perfect review, though I also agreed with everything you said after, about it being better than the studio version. For me, it was better because it wasn't so polished, just raw and beautiful and Tatiana was moving about more and giving it more energy than in the studio. Makes me want to check out more of them live - and there's some good suggestions below to follow up on. Talking of making me want to see more of a band live, after watching your Babymetal 'Megitsune' reaction a couple of times, I had to dig out the DVD of that 2015 concert and watch the whole thing! Btw, the SuMetal Death Stare that you (the female half of Gamers Inked, sorry but don't know your names) gave the other half when he dared to pause it was spot on! Made me laugh out loud. So thanks for that. Loving your reactions.

Btw being rooted as a hip hop head, this is just another example of how immense talent TRANSCENDS genres/preferences of music. I've never been into screaming/metal--the double kick drum in most metal music turns me off, as it is such a weird/intense beat that is impossible to dance/vibe to as a bboy..BUT the way tati does the screams and cleans usually juxtaposes a theme in the songs from a light/dark standpoint, and after viewing them that way, it makes me appreciate them A LOT as artists

There are some great songs that are not as aggressive if that is what keeps throwing you off about Jinjer. I would suggest the song Bad Water &/or Wallflower, and for something completely different by them, try Beggar's Dance.

I love Pisces, too! As for the latest album, it's very subjective. I love every song on Wallflowers, and so do most of the Jinjer fans I've seen, but I understand not every song can be for everyone and I'd add that for me, for some Jinjer songs, I didn't follow all of the complexity on the first listen (like Mediator), but I usually end up liking those songs more than ones I liked immediately because it's somehow very satisfying once the complexity clicks for me. As for lyrics, every time I've read Tatiana's (and in a few songs Eugene's) lyrics, I've loved them immediately, no second take needed, but again not all lyrics can be for everyone. I still keep every Jinjer song on my playlist and still love each one more every time I hear it.
