    Hi.
    What made you to upgrade from R3 meta to Reference 1 meta ? I read some comments on forums R3 meta very good performance for their price specially low frequency deep and nice they said. I would like to know your opinion.

      hi have upgraded from R3 to reference 1 meta much better speakers in absolutely everyway if you can afford it. Its top of the line better build quality better performance and better everything you can hear them in person and decide to your self.

      @@bryanfurys some people says r3 meta is better , when considering costs, performance, sound quality. if I'm going to pay around £6.000 for pair of speakers I would save bit more and go for Focal Diablo or Kanta no2 or sopra 1. What do you think?

      You can hear them side by side and decide for your self, if you live in small apartament you can use naim muso instead of expensive speakers and amps it may sound better, i owned kef r3 for sometime and i didnt like them how they sound also they are cheaply made and everything is budget oriented there, FOCAL UTOPIA for me is benchmark, brand new unfortunately i also made cost cutting way and i upgraded from kef r3 , to kef reference 1 meta focal utopia diablo was too high price for me at least 2-3 times more... i had amazing deal on kef reference 1 meta thats why i bought them, If you have the Money, go with FOCAL UTOPIA DIABLO, kanta and sopra 1 are older models and i dont think they can beat ref 1 meta , but utopia diablo for sure is way better @@Baturay4658 Diablo utopia cost a lot more money. at least 2-3 times more than kef reference 1 meta.

    I bought it às well silver walnut colour one. I'm going to buy A+B class Amplifier than it will be perfect match. NAD M33 is a good amplifier has so many features but is class D soundstage not my taste I tried with NAD M33 than I tried Hegel H390 Class A+B . Hegel sound to me fuller warmer, tonality nice ,imaging perfect. I really really liked 😀👍

      Nad m33 is better than class a or b nad is using class d PURIFY chips the best in the world have harmonic distortion way below class ab and consumes less power sounds amazing.

    Friends who have ref 1, do they have enough mid-bass?? I mean mid to upper bass, not the low bas, I heard this speaker and a treated room and it appears it has mid bass, but in the real world in usual rooms, I really don't know 🤔

    • @bryanfurys
      @bryanfurys  Před rokem

      hi to me they have enough mid bass but i dont listen to bass heavy songs.

    • @De132an
      @De132an Před rokem +1

      You will always benefit from a treated room. Untreated rooms depending on acoustics can sound bright in the highs and flabby in the base. The Kef Ref 1 Meta has 2 base ports to address room acoustics and room placement of speakers that might have to be placed close to walls. When used correctly with the right port, the base is tight and can go down to almost 30 Hz. With the short port, 40 Hz

    I am surprised that they still sound good so close to the wall? No issues?

      hi, i am using long ports and they sound great even close to the wall , i got no issues. I tried long vs short port and i personally like more long one.

      Thanks!! I am getting mine in around 2 months in white. Technics SU-R 1000 will drive them. Looking forward to it!! Have to put them max 40cm away from the wall. Should be no problem then. 👍

    Bought my pair, black with copper driver, 2 weeks ago. I look forward to your reviews, especially long port vs short. One word of advice, don’t assume the long one will sound better in your specific room, the long port goes lower but has a little overhang. The short will not go as low but is quick and tight with no base bloating, punching out the base notes.
    Buy the dedicated stands, worth every euro! Cheers.
