I love Laura for representing our magnificent state of Wisconsin with such dignity. She's definitely my absolute favorite Miss America for sure, I miss here. It's cool she's from Kenosha, just south of Racine were my father lives.
Lol I go to Ms. America's old highschool. I even sat across from her mom for a lunch. They are such a sweet family and she deserves it so much! Wisconson finally got a little love!

Sad that she ended up marrying an abusive man, 14 years her senior - ‘Bachelor’ creator, Mike Fleiss, who assaulted her during a demand that she abort their second child and then filed for divorce when she refused.
Miss America will travel over 200,000 miles during her reign. She will make over $150,000 in personal appearance fees. She also wins a $50,000 college scholarship in addition to her state pageant scholarship. She will be a spokesperson for the Miss America Pageant, and will speak about her platform. Miss America does alot.
idk why they look happy when they get a runner-up place, they pretty much just lost...if i were up there and i got called as first runner up i'd be like "i dont want your damn roses GAHHH!"
Good to see the quality of the contestants improving. Katherine Kennedy, Miss Arizona 2004, dropped loads of batons, had a big belly stick out, and her family screeched like hyenas.
We all know that America consist of many countries and not only the United States of America furthermore,even if this pageant stands for U.S.A all i see are Blonds browns and brunette hair White women and eventhough Whites are still the majority population, the U.SA is very diverse its much bigger and beyond White i see no Black African Americans no Asian Americans i can't tell if there are any Latina's this pageant should be Miss White U.S.A shame on you U.S.A
Miss America is not obligated to compete in the Miss World and Laura Kaeppeler has said that she is done with pageants. After her reign as Miss America she plans on going straight to law school.

Miss America organization focuses primarily on scholarships for young, talented, driven women in the U.S that want to further their education. Miss United States, Miss USA, Miss Universe and Miss Worlds focus on young women that want to pursue modeling, acting and other similar careers.

I actually like Miss America better. I think Miss America is more classy and Miss USA is what I like to call the "slut pageant." Miss USA contestants also wear too much makeup I think. I also like how Miss America has the talent competition and Miss USA doesn't.
